  1. I'd be going to the FNIS page itself to ask that sort of query.
  2. Surely everyone by now has an outlook.com or a Hotmail.com or a live.com etc account by now? That'll be what they mean.
  3. Sounds good. I'll still be locking it down tighter than Fort Knox though.
  4. Drag the log into the mod on the left hand pane.
  5. That's telling you that the graphic modifications in ENB is turned off. Which is what you want if you're only running ENBoost.
  6. Nope, totally up to you running a preset. ENBoost is always a good idea, though.
  7. Just take your time, read everything twice and double check everything. Don't try and hurry through it. If all goes to plan, a brilliant and vibrant Tamriel will be your reward.
  8. With the injector version of ENB you actually have to run the injector program (ENBInjector.exe) first before you run Skyrim. As well as all the ENB preset files, you need to copy from the ENB download the following files: enbhost.exe, ENBInjector.exe, enbinjector.ini, enblocal.ini, and enbseries.dll. Open up enbinjector.ini and set it so it looks like this: [TARGETPROCESS] ProcessName0=SkyrimLauncher.exe ProcessName1=tesv.exe ProcessName2=skse_loader.exe Then run ENBInjector.exe. Make sure STEAM is running then fire up Skyrim via SKSE. If that all worked you should get the message in the top left. I've never set up ENB to run via injector so I dont claim mastery, but that should get you up and going.
  9. I'd take a wild punt that'll have something to do with UAC since STEAM is in the Program Files (x86) directory.
  10. Well no, there's no load order there. Try again, but use spoiler tags. It will depend on where you're getting CTD's.
  11. Much the same as you. But it'll be a nice freshening up, in any case.
  12. Don't worry Grant I haven't seen anything yet either. Will probably do what Neo did. Full reinstall with format.
  13. The usual thing to do is to install all of STEP Extended first, and then add other packs onto the end of STEP Extended.
  14. It tells you that The mods with the Green bar beside them are the Core Mods. If you look at the page you'll see there a lot of mods that don't have the Green bar next to them. This would suggest, therefore, that they are STEP Extended mods. To get Extended, you install the WHOLE list. to get Core you only install the ones with the green bar beside them. This has been explained several times on these forums.
  15. The 28.7 mm isn't how long the card is, that refers to the architecture. The R9 390 is actually 278mm. Should fit OK.
  16. No, you wouldn't need to run LOOT again. The order you have suggested would work. But I don't understand why you'd need a Merged Patch and a Bashed Patch. Do your Merged Patch esp, then the Bashed Patch esp, then all your Skyprocs, making sure Dual Sheath Redux's ESP is the last of them, then FNIS (which wont provide an esp) and Dyndolod. Yiou're fine after that.
  17. Don't forget to check case fans. Make sure you have enough of them. Most cases these days provide at least one on the rear for air exit and one of the front for air intake. But occasionally you'll find another intake fan might come in handy, on top of the case like I have.
  18. In the order they are in the guide. Or did you not follow the STEP guide as such?
  19. coc whiterun is a console command that no matter where you are in the world will take your character and drop you in Whiterun. The 'coc' command is a good way of quickly checking locations to make sure all's working around that area. Essentially it means 'centre on cell' and then the cell name.
  20. I have. They're bulletproof.
  21. I just refuse to install anything in Program Files (x86) that is even likely to cause an issue, like Steam, or any non Steam type of games. I leave that directory for applications and programs that are simple or utility type stuff. Better than have the issue. Of course I do have a quick 3 TB drive as well as the 465 Gig SSD, so space isn't a huge issue for me.
  22. I'd venture to suggest this is because on the MO downloads page on Nexus 1.2.8 downloads are above 1.3.8 and if you just click the first installer file you see you'll get 1.2.8.
  23. No worries. Unfortunately electricity doesn't always play 100% perfectly. :) It's seriously worth the cash to use a good power supply that's a reliable brand. I tend to use Corsair ones, but there's several good makers of power supplies.
  24. The one thing I'd be a little leery of is the power supply. Firstly double check 500W will be enough and that the 12V rail of the supply can provide the possible full load current that video card will need. That sort of data should be on manufacturers websites. I have a slight suspicion you'll find the power supply coming with the case you've specced might not have the juice.
  25. The only time you'd need/want a sound card these days if probably if you were doing pro sort of video and or sound editing. The guy I know who's in a few bands has one for his sound engineering.
