  1. Shh! I can't watch it until tomorrow! lol
  2. On one hand I feel bad because I've used WATER for so long it feels like I'm "betraying" it; however, RW2 has come out on top for me as well. It adds so much ambiance to the game that I didn't even realize was missing!
  3. These three mods: Snow & Rocks HD AOF Farmhouses Disease Descriptions were removed from Core, not Extended. That is why they were still in the Guide (just no longer marked as Core); however, I think we agreed to remove S&R HD completely. The other two were not discussed to be removed from Extended.
  4. Target bitrate was set at 13Mbps and maximum at 15Mbps (i think). This is still half of what YouTube states...for 720p they state the standard bitrate is 30,000Kbps for enterprise accounts. Of course normal accounts is 5,000Kbps. That's probably why those music videos on YouTube are such high quality. lol https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en I also have notes from various sites when I did my research to use this when rendering for YouTube: Video Codec (streaming video): H.264 Video Bitrate: = Audio Codec: ACC for H.264 Audio Bitrate: => 192Kbps ; 320Kbps = CD Quality EDIT: I asked Hodilton (does a lot of videos on YouTube for Skyrim) his settings and he told me this: Quicktime 1080p 24bit Depth with 30000kbps
  5. I thought about that but it's over 700MBs, plus the good stuff on Vimeo cost money...of which I don't have. lol
  6. New version! ...and right after I did my final video compare. lol I'll update the OP with my compare video and add this mod to testing.
  7. Updated! Maybe you guys having issues will want to check out this version.
  8. Updated: Updated translations
  9. It's been a good while since Vurt updated this! New update: This is mainly for those that use the Regular edition of the mod. STEP still uses the Basic (v1.81b) edition.
  10. We recommend deleting the mountain slabs from Terrain Bump because during our texture compares we found out that it makes some texture mods look really bad. True that if only Improved Vanilla Mountains HD is used it looks better; however, since Terrain Bump is a Core mod we had to take into consideration that Pack authors might use other texture mods. Therefore, the removal of the slab textures were necessary for best Core compatibly.
  11. Done, it's been removed from the mod list.
  12. It would seem I missed some things. Haha! Thanks for handling that stuff. BCFs also need to be created for omissions from Tobe's and possibly for Texture Bump (though that was only two textures removed).
  13. I've updated the OP to include the YouTube video and a link to it in my Dropbox. The quality might be better on the YouTube video, actually. This must be due to the media player on the sites. Download the file for the best quality (assuming Dropbox didn't re-render the video like YouTube does...heck, I'll download it to find out.). Confirmed...download for best quality.
  14. Thanks! I updated the recommendations for Windmills Resized.
  15. Already ahead of you! lol. But it's going to take a good while to finish uploading. It's 700+MBs
  16. I'm still not happy with what YouTube is doing to the video when they process it...the rendered file on my computer is sharper and more smooth, but it is what it is. Here's the video: Video in OP.
  17. Notice: STEP:Core is basically final with the 2.2.7 release and is represented by only installing mods marked as "Core" in the STEP Guide. We are gathering screens of this base install now and verifying that it includes everything necessary but nothing more than that --all according to the new STEP:Core Mandate. Anyone that has not yet read that, please do so to better understand the direction we are heading. The 2.2.7 release brings us one step closer to the 2.3.0 goal by locking down STEP:Core into its much more final state. With this release, many STEP:Extended mods were also added and several mods were removed from STEP; reasons can be found on the changelog for 2.2.7. The next few release will bring us even closer to the 2.3.0 goal by focusing on refining the non-Core mods in the current guide even more. These non-Core mods will ultimately formulate the basis for STEP:Extended, and this means that we can begin testing mods for 2.2.8 and 2.2.9 according to the STEP:Extended Mandate, which opens up the door to new possibilities. This is now the "2.2.8 interim-2.3.0 release". The "rules" are somewhat relaxed, so we are open to more suggestions. Please post here though if you have suggestions or comments on the existing guide and mod list. v2.2.8 ChangeLog Dropped: Acquisitive Soul Gems - Switched with Smart SoulsWATER - Switched with RWTEnhanced Projectile Soul Trap - USKP now fixes soul trap effectWaterbreathing Breathless Emerge - RedundantAdded: Smart Souls - Replaced ASGRealistic Water Two - Replaced WATERTelvanni RebornHQ Snow Textures - Replaces?Audio Overhaul SkyrimAudio Overhaul Skyrim - PatchesFor replacers, the test case should be a high-quality screenshot compare. We don't need a lot, just two or three sets of compares on the thread in Mod Testing (MT) marked [ TESTING ]. For non-replacers, please head over to MS and read the Announcement. Then go into the testing thread and contribute some test ideas or some of your own test results. The idea is that testing --and logging of that activity on the threads-- will be touch & go for a lot of mods, and it should be pretty clear by anyone stumbling upon any mod thread what the end result is. Let us know if you want to be a Mod Tester!
  18. BUG REPORTS ONLY PLEASE! Please post any bugs or issues that you think may be related to this release on this thread. Those issues will be fixed, if possible, in the next STEP update. Progress on the next STEP release can be found in this forum. Make sure to check back often for updates! v2.2.7 Changelog (changes made since initial release) To let everyone know, all this work that has taken place will not be made official for the current release; although, it is available on the guide now via the mod wiki pages. This is because there really isn't a way to "refine" the guide, mods and their instructions away from the public view (at least not the type of refining that will be taking place). This is due to the way the current wiki is constructed and set up. From this point to the time of the 2.2.8 release, you can consider the current 2.2.7 Guide as a "live beta" of sorts, though none of the changes made should cause any issue if they are followed before the 2.2.8 release. When getting ready for the 2.2.8 release, I'll gather up all the changes I've made and post them in the 2.2.8 changelog along with the other stuff that will come with that release. The 2.2.8 release will mostly be a "refinement" release. Very few new mods will likely be added in the next release; however, STEP should become more easy to follow and more stable once that version is finalized and officially released.
  19. Discussion thread: Improved Vanilla Mountains HD by rgabriel15 Wiki Link Dropped in v3.0.
  20. I'm going to assume you meant to put it up in conflicting graphics. Right now load order will be EDT2 >> Quality Word Map >> EDT
  21. Thought I'd tease with a shot of my current computer screens... 10 points each to those that can name the location on the video editor and/or can name the anime I'm watching (via HDMI on my flat screen).
  22. Just to let everyone know, I'm working on the final compare between Water and Realistic Waters 2. It took a while to get the video going because I've switched from Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to Adobe Premiere Pro and had to relearn the interface and how things work. I've got it smoothly now so it should be released later today.
  23. Fixed. Thanks for catching that!
  24. You have EDT2 added to Section G and then state that Quality World Map is moved to Section F below EDT2. Could you also post a link to the load order? Can't find it. I found this one: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3301 but it doesn't have all the files discussed and still has DTTL in it.
