  1. I updated this mod to be compatible up to 1.63. We need to solve the sails vs no sails choice; however, until that is resolved I've instructed users to use the no sails version. I will see if I can test this in-game later (if I remember).
  2. We discussed the options to install with this mod; however, they were never added to the wiki. I've added them to the wiki and have updated the changelog to reflect the mod note change.
  3. In all honesty, I could really care less. They don't and never have bothered me, personally. My statements were simply my opinions as well and not reflected towards any individual(s). This entire topic is a big "whatever" to me anyway. There's more important things to do than to nitpick posts that have an automatic signature on them from whatever program that user is posting from. In the grand scheme of things, it matters not and my eyes tend to roll over them without concern when I'm reading most posts. Whatever happens, I'm fine with. Will be moving on to catch up elsewhere.
  4. So I have my system set up with my temporary hard drive solution installed until I receive my replacement hard drive from Newegg. I've stress tested most of the system and everything seems to be in tip-top shape. I was curious so I installed Skyrim. It's like a completely new game for me. In vanilla I'm running at a solid 60fps @ 1920x1080 with Ultra setting (everything is maxed out). The difference in resolution and fluidity is amazing! I've downloaded a few mods (SRO, SFO, Bellyaches, Book of Silence, RW2, Improved Vanilla Mountains, TreesHD) and plugged them in manually just to see how they run on this system. Still maintained a solid 60fps. This is going to be great!
  5. I was removed in 2.2.7: https://wiki.step-project.com/Changelog/2.2.7 Marked as Droppped
  6. I think he/she has to be a poet, writer or Language teacher.... The play with words give me that impression anyway. / var=rant / initialize (rant) As far as questions guys/gals, the only thing I and some of the other staff members get annoyed about, regarding questions, are questions with answers that can easily be found with a slight bit of research or doing the work yourselves. At some point users have to become somewhat self-sufficient and learn to do things on their own. Then when something more difficult arises or you can't solve the problem yourself after working on it for a while, then seek help. An example would be: "How does mod ABC compare to mod XYZ in style and features?" This and related questions come up quite often. These answers can easily be discovered by putting in the work yourselves, reading the mod pages and trying out both mods in-game. The phrase, "God helps those who help themselves" comes to mind. Apply this in your lives. If you try to find the answer yourself and put forth the effort, but still can't figure it out, then you ask for help. We learn things by making mistakes and then learning from those mistakes. Trial and error. /end (rant)
  7. I haven't used a chat messaging service in....years (besides Facebook chat which I only use if I'm on Facebook).
  8. I agree. I prefer SRO in these compares.
  9. Now that I can run ENBs again with my new rig I will be looking for one and this just might be it. I'll have to compare it to SkyRealism which is what I used to use.
  10. Thanks for the detailed explanation of your choices!
  11. I tend to agree with Z on this. Seeing that a user is mobile helps me to acknowledge different things from the conversation (and dedication to STEP). I tend to associate those that are keeping up with the forum even when they are away as more dedicated members. I'm not saying this is true or not. It's just how I personally interpret it. Also seeing the "sent from" message lets me know that a user is mobile and may not be able to respond as quickly as other users. I know many of us keep up with the forums from work, myself included; however, that doesn't mean we'll be able to respond quickly because work will usually take priority. The majority of these post seem to come from staff members. With that said, I'll change mine to something shorter that doesn't include Tapatalk in the line.
  12. Moved to proper forum and merged threads.
  13. Okay, got an old drive which was my backup drive backed up to a DVD using a live USB drive of Linux. Now I'm planning on wiping and temporarily using that drive to get up and running until my RMAed drive returns. This will at least allow me to check my other components to make sure they're all properly working. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  14. I think this deserves a good look-over and review. From the video, this ENB actually stays fairly close to vanilla colors; obviously with some enhanced shaders from the ENB. It stays so close, I think it could possibly become a candidate for the official ENB of STEP; not that we're even looking into that at the moment. But for the future, this will be something to keep our eyes on. The only thing I don't like about it, is the ELFX requirement because that is what it's designed around. It would be nice if authors would offer multiple versions designed around different lighting overhaul mods (vanilla, RLO, ELFX, Relighting Skyrim, etc) and not just one. I know that's a lot of work but it's just something I would do if I was an ENB author. [video=youtube]
  15. Got my system all put together and find out I have a DOA hard drive. This sucks Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  16. Yep. I second that. I stopped using it a long time when I made the switch to MO. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  17. STEP is no longer using this mod. It's been replaced by Realistic Water 2. We've also switch to MO as the officially supported mod manager. Just some information for you. You can still use what you like. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  18. Demand refund. Purchase a different model.
  19. Thursday, the building begins! Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  20. Looks like my power supply shipped today! I've been considering doing some build videos with this but I only have my phone...so I don't know yet. It takes good quality video but I have no way of setting it up and moving it around right now and the lighting is bad where the build is taking place. Would have to overcome those things. Will definitely be taking some pictures during the process though. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  21. Haha! Shouldn't have that problem seeing I've been doing research for months while waiting for tax return time. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  22. Yep! I want it asap! Haha! I already put in for my vacation so as long as it's here before then I'll be happy. Most of the items from Newegg will be here tomorrow. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  23. There saying 3 to 5 days before one can be shipped to me, but we'll see. NCIX is really good about working with you if a product is taking too long to ship. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
  24. So all of my orders have shipped. Only problem is, the power supply I ordered. Apparently by the time I added it to my cart and the time I submitted the order, it sold out. So now it's on backorder. I'll have my entire system but no way to power it. Lol! It was a great deal so I'm not surprised. 700w for $60. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
