  1. STEP 2.2.8 has been release for a while...meaning....it should be "final"...? :O_o: Did you mean 2.2.9? I though we agreed to not be updating things in-between releases unless absolutely necessary?
  2. That is what I needed to know. Rings themselves are irrelevant as this mod is based off SMIM...which in turn is based off of Jewels of the Nords. SMIM fixes the non-rounded rings of Jewels of the Nords so we should simple drop that mod (probably should have dropped in a while ago). I vote we add this one to STEP, replacing Jewels of the Nords.
  3. Good compares. Does anyone know if STEP is different from vanilla? If not, we can use the above compares as a base.
  4. It's still too new so I haven't even tried it yet.
  5. Oh so glad I don't have to worry about that! ...but a little sad as well. lol Okay, I'll sit push to get the testing competed as much as possible. I have nothing better to do other than a bit of cleaning of the apartment.
  6. WOOT!!!!
  7. I agree. It's not been long since our last release (usually they're released every 3-4months); however, we can freeze the mods in testing unless there are a few really good ones we've missed (I've not kept up with the mod forum). Then I'll expedite the testing of those mods in testing. I'll need the staff to be on ball and do some voting/input though if things are to move quicker. I think there are a few that simply need a few "yes" or "no" from staff. I'm off this Saturday and Sunday so I can make the goal to finish up most of the testing my Sunday evening. I have some notes on my computer that I need to update the changelog with as well. I'll get that done. I also agree to simply let AOS take over for most of the sounds. EssArrBee, Those few mods that your are doing mashups with will need to be finalized as well when you get the time. I don't plan on touching those. @All, The Extended Proposal will also need to be voted on by Sunday evening or I'll take the votes as is and make the changes to the Changelog to reflect. There are a couple mods I'm wanting to move to STEP:Core, so please review those and make your case as I have.
  8. Turning on a few extra features in the ENB (Core is simply using ENBoost) for Extended is a possibility. The only issue is the performance because we have set minimum hardware requirements. The ENB feature must be able to run at those minimum requirements to be considered. Unless we raise the requirements specifically for Extended.
  9. Thanks for checking in this guys! It's not that big a deal. It would have just been nice to been able to change it. The skyrim reference in the background of a game guide that isn't skyrim (such as my Mass Effect Enhancement Guide and the Fallout: New Vegas Guide) doesn't make much sense. No room to complain when it's been hosted for free. I'm planning on ME2 and ME3 Guides as well....depend if the scope is big enough to do those guides or not. Currently not making them publicly known like the FNV Guide though until I can hash out a few issues. Thanks again!
  10. The patches will be updated within the next 48hrs as long as nothing happens to EssArrBee.
  11. Okay, thanks for checking it out. Wating for s4n....commencing gnome dance...
  12. I updated my post above. Can you check this Z? EDIT: :Ninja'ed Actually, no...did you check to see if these declarations are defined in the skin's CSS? If so, even the user's "!Important" declarations will not work. They'll have to be removed from the skin.
  13. I think I found the answer to where the background image is found. It's coded into the default (STEP) skin of the site. Changing the skin eliminates the Skyrim background image and the issue of the "body CSS" negating all the other CSS code; however, it still doesn't allow the background image to be displayed. Appears as if some of the skin's CSS is taking priority over the user's CSS (this is not normal CSS behavior though). If I could get my hands on the original "Step.css" file, I could look into to. Sound like a job for the Dev Team. Just found this: If these "!Important" declarations are used in the skin's CSS for the body then that is the cause of all the issues. These declarations basically nullifies all child tags that might come under it. Therefore, the skin's CSS where they're included will take priority over anything defined by the user. These declarations will need to be removed.
  14. I have tried every way and trick I know to get this to work, but it refuses to comply... I'm all out of ideas. Time to dig deep into Google until s4n shows up. "You must comply!" ~ Seven of Nine Found this and it made me wonder if the page background is also hard coded into the .PHP files as the logo is:. This would account as to why it can't be changed. Regardless, this background is defined globally to the site somewhere. I'm not going to poke around as I'm sure s4n has all that locked down.
  15. Having shot bows myself for a period of time in my past, I can say that Spock is correct.
  16. Your 5% has kicked you in the butt Still doesn't work and as before, any inclusion of the "body" CSS negates the entirety of the CSS code. This is very strange behavior...worse than IE. Haha!
  17. Wow! Someone filled a missing niche. Vanilla friendly ENB. This would be perfect for Core if we were in the market for a Core ENB. lol
  18. Then let us leave it up to s4n. I'll wait to here from him.
  19. Page: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:TechAngel85/MassEffect CSS: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:TechAngel85/MassEffect.css I've added it back into the CSS temporarily so you can see that any inclusion of the "body" CSS completely nullifies the rest of the CSS.
  20. This is the second thread here that is stating issues with the AMD Radeon 2xx series of cards...a pattern is emerging.
  21. I have no idea. There is no difference between them with installing mod with Mod Organizer, but I'm not sure when it comes to in-game. Yours was "stuttering". That's good. Mine was completely pausing for up to 3 seconds at times. That was entirely due to my slow HDD.
  22. If that fixed your issue, then you forgot to update and use the DDSopt INI file. There is an updated version on the DDSopt Guide that MUST be used or you'll even up with a lot of texture issues.
  23. I spoke from experience using gaming consoles in place of a PC. My old PS3 would output a maximum of 24Hz on full HD settings. I assumed this was limited by the TV since the PS3 is capable of outputting to up 60Hz. The one time I've plugged a computer into a TV monitor (different TV), it took defaulted to 24Hz was well. Blue-ray movies also play at 24Hz. I assumed there was a pattern here when it came to HD content and TV monitors; however, I could be wrong. Besides, it wasn't a broad statement of fact as you interpreted it. It was a suggest to make sure they matched. The 24FPS was simply the example I used due to the reasons above. I clarified my statement above.
  24. You had to have done something wrong within your setup or your hardware/drivers are at fault. I just ran that test on a STEP:Extended setup for over 10 minutes without any issues besides some pausing during new cell loads. No crashes, no freezes.
  25. Thanks. Tried it and it's still not working. Knowing the dev team, it's probably hard coded into the wiki and can't be changed. Bummer if that's true but I'll wait for Z or s4n to reply.
