  1. Nope, Z has some screens posted somewhere on this thread.
  2. I posted a bug report for this issue: https://issue.tannin.eu/tbg/modorganizer/issues/670
  3. Style changes are already covered in this statement on the Mandate for Core under what it is NOT about: "... mods that subjectively alter or contrast with the style of vanilla Skyrim." Besides the hi-res texture, all of the changes here are subjective. Color, contrast, tint, brightness, etc It's all the authors vision, not the direction that Bethesda set for vanilla. This could be tested for Extended as long as the change in that stone color doesn't contradict anything in lore about the stone suppose to being red (power source, etc). I do suppose we could discuss how ridge we want to be because there are some mods in Core that changes the "shade" or "contrast" of some colors; however, nothing in Core makes complete changes from, say, red to purple.
  4. Still SRO. Langley's improves some areas but blurs others.
  5. Z's compilation can be rather tricky for users. I think if we go with that, then we should attempt to get permissions to host the completed compilation as a mod on Nexus to simply it for users.
  6. Well, both installers are completely ignoring the priority so that's not it. At this point, I can only assume that the internal installer is not handling the Conditional statements correctly, even though I can't find anything wrong with them.
  7. The only thing I can find that might be causing issues is the priority tags. Perhaps the internal installer is not handling them properly. I will investigate.
  8. These textures have some weird glows along the ridges in the metal that doesn't exist in vanilla or SRO.
  9. Worth checking out, but you can really tell the author used SG textures. Those textures really glow in the sun and fire light! Would like to see it with Mature Skin placed over it.
  10. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the FOMOD that the internal installer should be messing up...I'm curious what is causing it to not work properly? It's not using anything more advanced than I used in the Soul Gems Differ FOMOD...
  11. I outline my procedures here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Testing#Texture_Mod_Comparison_Sets
  12. My exact thoughts on this mod. I really with authors that go through the trouble of making hi-res textures and decide to changes colors and such would at the very least offer a vanilla friendly version of the texture as well instead of only their stylistic changes.
  13. Heresy! Such a thing does not exist! Cut out the non-believer's tongue so he can not speak out again our mesh-fixing deity again! ...all joking aside. This would take someone that was intimate with Nifskope and a 3D rendering program. I know just enough about Nifskope to look at meshes and textures and tweak a little but that's all. 3D program...I'd rather program and I HATE programming!
  14. Tons of games on sale for the cheap right now: https://www.greenmangaming.com/hot-deals/ Origin also has a lot of good games for cheap too. Dragon's Age: Origins is only $5.99 US right now.
  15. As far as I can tell, enabling graphics and making sure parallax is enables work with ENBoost. The result using parallax textures with it enabled/disabled looks different at the very least. Would need someone to test this specifically with ENBoost. I also experienced no additional FPS loss by doing this in ENBoost. Disclaimer: this was a very short and quick test to screenshot some parallax textures so don't hold my statement with any weight here.
  16. Z has come up with a fairly good solution using a compilation of mods that we'll most likely use. I have yet to test it myself though.
  17. With the merged plugin, I don't see the need for us (you) to constantly be updating the Patches due to SMIM updating once a week. This will take some overhead off of the patch work. As long as the SMIM merged patch is maintained upon every update of SMIM, then leaving it out of the STEP patches seems reasonable.
  18. I update the instructions every time I download it, so I'll do it when I get around to downloading it again.
  19. It is. We're purposefully trying to find something that works with the vanilla armors.
  20. You assume correctly. Most mods added are by a far closer user consensus and with the majority of staff approval. These thread always remain! We don't censor this stuff. It's just a texture replacement so using it won't hurt a STEP install. Anyone who likes it can use it with STEP, just like any other texture mods that aren't in STEP.
  21. I just when back and did a tally of those that specifically said yes or no... Total Yes: 7 No: 6 Staff Yes: 3 No: 4 I think it's rather fair to say too close to call. Something that is so close is rarely added into STEP because it portrays how divided the users (and staff) are.
  22. I was never able to finish the DA:O game. I would get into it but something would eventually happen to where I never finished. NWN was awesome as well. I played through those games a few times.
  23. With Z's words added which reflect my own and other staff who down voted this, I think we're going to drop this from Testing. The split for users is too close to 50/50 and the majority of staff has voted against it. This is a mod that deviates from vanilla in most aspects making it far more of a personal choice rather than something that the majority is going to enjoy and like. I encourage users who do like the look to use Rustic Windows as a personal mod; however, as for it being in STEP, I feel enough staff has voted against it to leave it out. If there are no arguments to this, I'll drop the mod from Testing.
  24. All my screen where under vanilla lighting with the reduced glow version installed.
  25. Thanks for the heads up. Many of these already are or will be fixed in the 2.2.9 patches.
