  1. I figured out which mod is messing with this one. It's Terrain Bump which has an icicle_n.dds file: Vanilla >> with Terrain Bump >> with icicle_n.dds hidden This is what's causing all the undesirable effects. I'm going to redo all the compares with this file hidden in Terrain Bump.
  2. Okay, this is what the second one looks like:
  3. Had to step out for a bit. Will be back in about an hour.
  4. Only mesh conflicts are from USKP which was loaded in both the vanilla and STEP shots above.
  5. Yes and two "BSShaderTextureSet". The second one only lists:Icicle_n.ddsIcicle_n.dds
  6. Something must be packed up into a BSA somewhere because I can't find any of those textures in any STEP mod that would be causing it too look different. This is going to be a manhunt of activating mods one-by-one.
  7. Aha! There those suckers are! Yeah, nifskope needs to update it's documentation. They are all there.
  8. Does MO conflict tab count case? Because this mod's texture is "icicle.DDS" and not icicle.dds" @SP Icicles EDIT: I changed it...I guess not. There are no conflicts for the icicle texture....so what is STEP using because they are clearly different than vanilla.
  9. Fixed it so reload if you were here for 1 minute ago. This means the STEP texture is affecting it negatively. Because vanilla looks better.
  10. HOLD the phone...! These look different depending on what texture they're pulling from. They look even better in just pure vanilla: Vanilla >> STEP
  11. I finally got nifskope to load textures; however, I still don't see any texture paths in the blocks. They need to update their documentation. EDIT: Icicles still won't load a texture and I've every snow related mod to the textures folder....
  12. True that. However, since the icicles don't have a texture path, I can't even load up a texture in NifSkope.
  13. None of the meshes have a texture path to them so I can't tell where they're pulling the texture from... or perhaps I just don't know enough about NifSkope to figure it out.
  14. The blue atronach isn't due to the choice in ice. It's due to the mod replacer for it, Frost Atronach HD which happens to be more blue in color. I think STEP's icicles texture is coming from HRDLC, but I could be wrong.
  15. The blue is STEP (Frost Atronach HD).The difference is the mesh, not the texture. The texture is being provided by other mods (vanilla and Frost Atronach HD, respectfully)
  16. I don't but it's not long. They are posting new deals every day. The FallOut: NV is already over.
  17. The Real Wood doors are a slightly lighter color than the rest of the wood. I'm fairly certain this was to make the doors stand out a bit so the player would know where it was. ::
  18. Please do! The shots can be misleading. They really do look amazing and realistic. If the author where to add a lightly-frosted option, I think they would fit in much better. As they are now, they tend to stand out. @Kelmych, Which option for transparent do you prefer for the Atronach? Step+trans or Vanilla+trans? EDIT: I do agree, they look amazing in the caves. I wasn't able to test the torch bug though.
  19. Although this mod is amazing at that it's doing, I'm afraid this might be a case of a mod being "too realistic" for Skyrim. (that's right, I said too realistic and it's not the first time ) The mod is so incredibly realistic that it's not fitting in with the rest of the textures in Skyrim. Now the author has some really great shots by him and other users on the Nexus page. I think ENB does something extra special with this mod; however, for non-ENB users (that's STEP) it's just standing out too much. I'm voting a "no" for this one; altough, I do love what it is doing. On another note, I think our Frost Atronarch looks bad. Why is it so blue? We need to find something better and I don't think Ren's is it either.
  20. (Someone needs to up the images-allowed-per-post count. That is annoying as hell having to wait 5 mins to post the rest of the shots!) Ice Wraiths (it's impossible to get the same shot twice): Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Frost Atronarch: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting (over vanilla) >> Transparent & Refracting (over STEP) The STEP textures are provided by AMB Caves and Mines.
  21. Okay...got this one tested out. First, the shots: Icicles on roofs: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles on arches: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles on roofs 2: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles on roofs 3: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles in caves: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles in caves 2: Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting Icicles on ledge (dawn): Vanilla >> STEP >> Transparent & Refracting
  22. Funny, I thought the doors looked really good in Real Wood and that they blended nicely. It at least bet AMB's plastic door.
  23. Install AMB and hide ropes and thatch textures.Install Real Wood (no moss option 1k) overwriting AMB and hide stone wall and wood fence textures.Test. EDIT: :ninja:
  24. So I was right. No custom paths. Just custom meshes. Haha!
  25. Haha! Man that is old! That was before we separated STEP into Core and Extended. Last edit was in August of 2012!
