  1. Would this not imply that the ENB is, in fact, not ignoring loading screens anymore and the parameter might be needed again?
  2. ENB Guide Wiki Link NOTICE: DO NOT use this thread as a place to ask and receive support from the authors or anyone else who is assisting in this endeavor! There is an ENB Support Forum which is the proper place to request help and ask questions related to ENBs. Any form of these requests will be removed and placed in a more appropriate location. Lets keep this thread on topic and as knowledgeable and factual as possible! Purpose of this thread: You may or may not know that the ENB Guide is getting a bit of an overhaul. It's very much out of date and desperately needs attention. The goal here is simple: There is hardly any (easy to find) information out there about ENBs and all the parameters within. The aim of the ENB Guide is to pull together a magnitude of hard to find information into an easy to follow and detailed guide. User will be able to get what level of detail they wish from the Guide whether that is simply setting up their ENB very quickly or to gaining knowledge about the parameters in order to fine tune their ENB preset of choice. User will even be able to use the Guide to help them create a new preset from scratch if they so choice. This is quite a lofty goal; however, it really needs to be done... not only for the STEP users (STEPers) but also for the community as a whole. One of STEP's philosophies is the cathedral approach to modding; thus, the ENB Guide will be overhauled as a community. This brings me to the reason why this thread is in an open forum. Although I've recruited a couple ENB authors to help review the information in the Guide for accuracy and provide us with corrections and suggestions where needed, this is also a call out to the community to help provide feedback and suggestions on the content of the Guide as well. Anyone who is interested in contributing, please do so here in this forum. All help is welcome and especially from those who are knowledgeable about the workings of ENBs! Before getting started I would lay out the aim of each section of the Guide for reference: Introduction - aim is to provide introductory text to explain what ENBs are and the purpose of the ENB Guide.Quickstart - aim is to have users who wish to simply get their ENB up and running quickly without a ton of detail to be able to do so. Quickstarts are also used for the STEP Guide and are; thus, required.ENB Choices - aim is to provide users with a small selection of very well rounded/up-to-date ENBs which also offer a verity of different styles. These are overviews and not meant to be installation instructions since it is best to rely on the authors for those instructions. This also prevents the choices from becoming outdated so quickly. Also in this section is an offering of mods that compliment most ENB presets.Installation - aim is to provide an overview of the general installation process for ENBs. This is meant for informational purposes and users are encouraged to use the author's instructions rather than relying on the ones provided hereEditing Enblocal INI - aim is to provide users with knowledge of every parameter listed in the enblocal.ini and what those parameters do in order to help them make informed decisions when editing the file.Editing Enbseries INI - aim is similar to the Enblocal section; however, only very basic information is provided for users. This section's detail goes no further than providing users with the information to adjust the quality of features and not their individual settings. This is done to hopefully prevent users from unintentionally messing up the intended design (look and feel) of the ENB presets and potentially causing for support questions; thus, this section allows them to only adjust the quality of the features which the authors implemented.Advanced Editing - the original aim of this section was to provide in-depth detail about all parameters in the enbseries.ini file. However, do to the level of detail required, this will most likely be split off into a separate guide entirely. Much of the information is already present...just hidden.ENB Addons - this section's aim is to provide information about ENB addons such as SMAA and ELE as well as instructions on how to install them.Troubleshooting - aim is to provide valuable information about common issues regarding ENBs and how to fix them. I'd like to thank everyone here that contributed for you contributions. For now, I'm considering the Guide complete and will attempt to revisit it once a month to keep it up-to-date. I will keep this thread open for the next couple of weeks for anyone to report any oddities or corrections. Once closed, I'll post a link to the ENB Guide thread for any future posts and replies.
  3. Haha! I couldn't help myself! But it is true. In forested areas your machine will be begging for relief (or so I've been told by ENB authors); whereas, indoors the effect has almost no impact. I'm not sure how ENB handles it; however, my experience with Transparency AA on the driver side is buggy. You'll see lines around transparent meshes such as fires. Such as: Full size: https://i.imgur.com/Ii6b0NR.jpg
  4. If that is the case, I would simply go for the payments over time.
  5. Yeah, the motherboards and PSUs are always my main concerns on pre-built systems. But I avoid that by always building my own systems so I know the quality that is going into it. And if that is your price range you and certainly build one for cheaper with the same components.
  6. You'd be able to swap out most components in a desktop as long as the motherboard supports them (like larger sticks of RAM and a beefer video card). That is a fairly good system to start out with and I don't think you'd be disappointed in its performance. I have the GTX 760 4GB model is it handles Skyrim nicely.
  7. Lol. I'll fix the 23bit system. I have paid too much attention to that tab yet, but it will get a proper look-over.
  8. Interesting...just out of curiosity I'm going to leave it in to see if I get any issues with textures on the loading screen. They should have appeared within 12 loads because they've been fairly common in my game. If they don't reappear after a time, I'll take it back out of the INI to see if they reappear once that has been done. If they do, Boris hasn't an issue to look into.
  9. That feature is Beta and not that intuitive. We've checked the load orders specifically and that are no issues so there is no need to worry about those messages in a STEP specific installation.
  10. Updated the Editing Enblocal INI tab: Adding missing parameters to several sectionsclarified much of the text and descriptionsUpdated the formatting to be consistent with my previous edits as well as to look nicer and be easier to read.is now updated to and includes all lines from ENBSeries v0.262
  11. Ever since I started using ENB, I've been missing some textures on my loading screens. The IgnoreLoadingScreen fix is missing from recent versions of ENBSeries. I added it back in and went through about 12 loading screens (just fast traveled around) and didn't notice any missing textures. It might be worth mentioning that users may need to add that line back in ( IgnoreLoadingScreen=true ) under [FIXES] in the enblocal file if this is happening to them as well.
  12. So what that did was cause the vanilla body to load rather than the on included in XCE.
  13. You shouldn't have any issues doing that. The face textures/meshes will simply overwrite Xenius.
  14. Ah, didn't realize you had a non-STEP mod or I would have suggested it sooner.
  15. It's in the Content Addon.
  16. It's beyond stupid... What you're doing here is the purpose of Profiles in MO and tells me you don't really understand them. Read this: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#tab=Profiles_2 In fact, that whole Guide might be helpful to you.
  17. Ahahahaha! This is entertaining! I have the female body opened up in 3ds Max. In learning about xView which shows issues in the meshes. Hahahahaha! Open holes, overlapped vertices....several things to fix here...now how to fix them? I'll keep reading my e-book... Just so happens the open holes are where some of the seams are (around the lining of the underwear, inner thighs, etc).
  18. It shouldn't because besides for benchmarking, you really won't be running and playing the game until the Guide is completely installed.
  19. XPMS ... FNIS FNIS Output Where the ... is, you'll have the rest of the STEP mods. For example, my XPMS has priority 37. My FNIS and FINIS Output have priorities 241 and 242; they're way down at the bottom of the load order. The Patches should be install as one of the last things. The Guide is meant to be followed from beginning to end without skipping around.
  20. That means it's in the skyrim directory. You should delete the files and update to the newest version if you don't have it installed already. Then make sure it's set up correctly. See my link in the OP.
  21. My best advice to you is to explicitly follow the STEP Guide at least through Section 2.D.Fixes. That will get you up and running stably with all the fixes you need. From there you can use the Guide to help you pick and choose mods that you might want or go your own way. But following the Guide through Section 2.D.Fixes will be your best starting point.
  22. It should be placed after the FNIS mod. Both FNIS Behavior and FNIS Output should be activated.
  23. Close Steam completely. Right-click the its icon in the system tray and click Exit. Reopen Steam and do the cache verify again but leave it be. It's downloading the files it needs so if it takes 1hr it takes 1hr. Don't do anything until the files are installed. In the meantime, are you trying to install STEP or your own personal setup?
  24. That's probably because you haven't run FNIS yet, which is at the end of the Guide.
  25. You have to verify your game cache in Steam. Right-click on Skyrim in your Steam Library. Click on Properties. Go to the Local Files tab at the top of the window that opens. Click on "verify integrity of game cache". And yes, you'll have to re-download you mods using MO and installing them with MO. That NMM import feature will not work.
