  1. Thanks! Until I can do a compare with vanilla speculars, I've updated the instructions to also include the "no glow skin" option, which just makes the spectaculars black...so dull skin for now. Fixed. I don't know what was going on. That's suppose to update on it's own. I just manually slapped in the warning.
  2. "Creation Club"...certainly doesn't sound like they'll be dropping the creation engine anytime soon.
  3. Yeah, the staff just has to remember that any changes at all to the guide (even updates to the mod pages) need to be held off as they will be leased as "hotfixes". This will mean more frequent updates, but the updates will also be smaller.
  4. Notice: As of STEP 2.2.8, we are only actively supporting Skyrim Legendayr Ed. (all DLCs) - We continue to 'passively' support other DLC/non-DLC configurations as an artifact of having done so previously. However, moving forward, all new content will assume Legendary Ed. We will gradually phase out information pertaining to limited DLC components. Overview: STEP 2.10.1 marks the start of our new versioning scheme and how releases are handled. All changes to the Guide between minor releases will now be released as a packaged "hotfix" release. Reviewed our version scheme for more information. Since this is a community driven project and site, we would like to encourage users to tag mods they'd like to see in STEP. To do this, please add a 'testing' tag to the desired mods. This will allow us to filter the mods and review them. Mods that we think fit into the STEP project will be officially marked for testing and mods that do not will simply have the 'testing' tag removed. Dev Guide v2.10.1 Changelog (subject to developmental updates) Mods currently in Testing For replacers, the test case should be a high-quality screenshot compare. We don't need a lot, just two or three sets of compares on the thread marked [ TESTING ]. The idea is that testing --and logging of that activity on the threads-- will be touch & go for a lot of mods, and it should be pretty clear by anyone stumbling upon any mod thread what the end result is. Let us know if you want to be a Mod Tester! We're always looking for official testers! Changes for v2.10.1 (in no specific order) 2.10.1 Dev patches:
  5. BUG REPORTS ONLY PLEASE! Please post any bugs or issues that you think may be related to this release on this thread. Those issues will be fixed, if possible, in the next STEP update. Progress on the next STEP release can be found in this forum. Make sure to check back often for updates! v2.10.0 Changelog

  7. Very nice! I wish some mods would trickle down to classic skyrim.
  8. There's also this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56623/? I simply didn't have time to test anything for the kitties.
  9. I've looked at it in xEdit. There's really not much that needs to be done as long as you fall it's load order recommendations (I've added a LOOT rule to The Choice is Yours). For the rest the patches already exist so it should be a quick copy session.

  11. These mods are designed for low-end systems that can't run the Hi-Res DLC. Not really STEP content. Would probably be good for a low-end Pack.
  12. I like this mod too for classic, but I'm not sure it's STEP material. Extended, if anything. For SSE I've been using Vanilla Vegetation Overhaul, which is very nice for a vanilla feel. For classic, Verdant is probably the best alternative.

  14. Dropping the testing suggestion for this one.
  15. OH MY GOD THIS IS DONE...or at least fixed. Installing it over Better Males now and testing...
  16. I would love to add this to STEP:Extended, but am afraid we'd get into a patching nightmare. I haven't install the mod so I don't know how it would work with STEP. I do know that I've been using Inigo on SSE and have loved all the added dialogue. Having a mod that does something similar for all of Skyrim would be great.
  17. Is this that large of an issue in vanilla? If so, it's an obvious add. We had a mod that did this for quivers and removed it a while back because updates to the skeleton mods or other mods corrected the issue.
  18. I one issue with this mod is that the vanilla textures are notability worn, whereas with this mod the textures look like they're hot off the press. There is a place for these types of mods that make the cloths look brand new and never worn (screen archery and such), but I don't feel they are for STEP.
  19. I was looking it over again earlier and upon more review, I don't care for either. I'll just drop this one from testing.
