  1. ENB Presets are a matter of personal tastes. I personally like Vividian ENB or OrganicENB v2 for my playthroughs.
  2. It's because STEP doesn't use Real Roads. :) You are safe to deviate.
  3. It's installed with Vivid Clouds and Fogs.
  4. Just delete the Bashed Patch and INI folder. Then continue as usual.
  5. No, they don't. Those mods only contain a portion of the Vivid Weathers total. Clouds and Fogs covers...clouds and fogs, with some added effects from the Extended Weathers plugin like cloud layering and speeds. Real Snow Flakes covers the "dynamic" falling snow which is particularly impressive around lights because the falling snow will be lit, whereas it's not in vanilla. The snow will also twirl in the wind and not be as static as in vanilla. True Storms can be added in the mix to cover the rainy weathers and sounds. From there most of the "vanilla" weathers that aren't just clear weathers will be overhauled. Vivid Weathers has the rest of the weathers covered, plus adds more weathers into the mix, adds color changes to all weathers, and other extra features. NLVA is probably my preferred choice for this type of thing because it "uses only Vanilla weather subrecords ensuring maximum compatibility". Of course it has an ENB component, but it's pretty light-weight.
  6. I totally understand. I really never wanted (or expected) the Extended Weathers plugin to be a part of the STEP Patch and would have rather resolved what conflicts existed with load order. I might see about getting Ess to drop it out or do it myself...or just exclude the recommendation for the Extended Weathers portion altogether, if it's not possible to do the former. I personally don't like the coloration and saturation of Vivid Weathers (even with adjusting the settings in-game) and think it ridiculous that I have to run an ENB to correct those issues. That's why I would rather run individual mods to get some of the effects, like Vivid Fogs, Real Snow Flakes, and True Storms.
  7. There is a list of currently ported mods that I'm maintaining here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Project:Skyrim_Special_Edition I'm also currently (almost finished) working on a small guide for SSE. It's not official. It's just my take on SSE modding based off the STEP Guide with some of my own twists. I can PM you a link to that if you'd like. I'm not quite ready to post it in the open forums. Ess has also been working with Mator Smash to replace the STEP Patches. I'm not sure how far he's gotten so you might hit him up if you need anything on that front.
  8. Just keep in mind that some Location References will be used by quests or called within scripts. Therefore, going through and removing them as if they're not needed will likely break something somewhere. As Arthmoor was saying in that discussing, they're only "bogus" if that's the only thing being changed by the mod. If the mod has quests or scripts, I would definitely leave them be and forward them. For example, I know Jaggarsfeld (my player home) has some of these records on objects. This happened when I gave the worldspace/cell a location name. The CK placed this record on several objects in the process for whatever reason. Those placed on these objects can be safely removed because I'm not using it for the quest or in any of the scripts. However, the location for the worldspace/cell need to remain because there are plans to use it and the edit was intentional.
  9. Cool. @Mator, Can you give kelmych access to our mod list?
  10. To be honest, I have no idea what is going on. The Pack development was never finished so there very well could be some glitches. Packs will be completely moved to Mod Picker when STEP 3.0 is released, so there will be no further development, fixes, etc to our Pack setup on the wiki. My best advice is to simply wait it out for STEP 3.0 or build your Pack on your user page, rather than using the Pack system on the wiki. Once good reason for this, is a lot of the wiki will be stripped out with STEP 3.0 and it's currently unknown what is going to happen to the existing Packs when that happens. That will be unknown until we actually get to the development phase.
  11. Thanks, Kelmych. The issue with WSCO has already been posted. It just needs a quick compare done. I've been too busy. All in all, they're very similar.
  12. Is this this an issue? Link to your pack?
  13. Those compares have been done so you're free to search for them. This is not the right thread to be having this discussion, anyway.
  14. I personally use both the ENB AA and SMAA (on Ultra preset) and am happy with the result. I don't expect it to be perfect, but I typically don't see any issues that just stand out while I'm playing either. I'm sure they're there if I went to look for them.
  15. From the picture, AA does seem to be on or I would expect to be seeing more on the straight lines in that shot.
  16. Have you reinstalled the enb files? I've used Vivid extensively and have never had any of these types of issues with it.
  17. I would first say to get out of that LAL cell. It's been known to have issues with lighting. Second, I don't see any custom patch in your load order and you definitely have conflicting mods. You should run LOOT, if you haven't.
  18. Install the extra mods you want after you have STEP fully installed, setup, and stable. You should probably copy your stable profile and use a the newly copied one to add in your extra mods. This will ensure you always have a backup of a stable profile to fall back on. As for overwrite...that's too large of a subject to cover in a reply. You best start with the xEdit Guide and then watch some videos about making patches.
  19. ELE removes fogs and provides darker interiors...as you can see in the pictures above.
  20. You can do that using the INI Editor in MO for each profile. Remember that every profile has it's own set of INIs so I'll have to make the edits multiple times.
  21. ...Steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Mopy/Docs/Wrye Bash Advanced Readme.html#launchers
  22. I've added a few acronyms you all use a lot: CR CRing ECTV Remember, there is a thread for requests: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4467-acronyms-wants-issues/
  23. It's a helper mod meant for ENB authors. It normalizes lighting color values for more consistent and natural environments. This helps ENB authors control the colors of the lighting which makes their job easier. Yes. A good place to test this is in any interior. I've provided some shots below so you can see the difference. It's a lighting enhancement that is compatible with pretty much all the other lighting mods (except RLO). Those running ENB Presets will often find the author recommends ELE. STEP uses it for it's normalizing effect. The lighting in the shots below is evident of this. The second shot looks far more "natural". The lighting is bloomed out and the haze and gone. Of course we toss on Relighting Skyrim into the mix which will change the lighting from what you see below because there is still a lot of "ambient lighting" hanging around. RS will cause that interior to be pretty dark because it will put the light at the light sources (candles, chandeliers, etc) for even more realism. It's "lite" because it only includes part of what JawZ was working on: https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1930 It's not an ENB. I'm not sure what this "ENB-LITE" that you're talking about is. What is "ENB-LITE"? Link? The best preset that fits into STEP's vision is ELEP: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40729/? This ENB Preset maintains the vanilla colors but allows users to get some of the benefits of ENBs such as cloud shadows, enhanced shadows in general, SSAO, soft particle effects, etc. See #8.The STEP specific file only covers the interiors. The full file will also cover exteriors, but it will make the exterior lighting look a bit wacky in places without an ENB Preset. EDIT: Forgot the shots... Vanilla lighting >> Vanilla lighting + ELE
  24. No, you don't clean Skyrim.esm. If that's the only place where the FormID shows up, ensure you don't have anything in your overwrite folder and try to run it again. If you still have issues, you should post a report at the link in your log.
