Is there a mod that... (Mod Detectives)
rootsrat replied to rootsrat's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Dance of Death scripts fire up only at the end of a fight. It does not conflict with anything that I'm aware of. I'd say is perfectly fade l safe to use. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk -

SKYRIMLE No Psychic Lock Knowledge by jackstarr
rootsrat replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Welcome to the forums, Jackstarr. Thanks for your mod, it adds to immersion! I did change your [Locked] message to a simple "It's locked" (square brackets looked weird in game, and "It's locked" just seems more immersive to me, personally), but if not for your mod, I would never knew! FYI, if you message z929669 on Nexus to confirm your identity, you'll get a shiny Mod Author badge here on STEP :) Hope you'll pop in more often and get involved in our lovely community! -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
rootsrat replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
This sounds like Safety Load issue, that affects many players (myself included). Remove that mod and see if that helps. FYI, it corrupted my save beyond repair, I could not use it, even after I've removed SL. I cannot confirm 100%, but I have good reasons to believe that this was the case, therefore I would recommend coming back to an earlier save. Replace SL with the new Memory Patch 3.0. -
True that, never thought of Jack of All Trades aspect. Uncapper won't make you OP if you configure it properly. There is a setting that you can customise that makes the game calculate the data based on a capped skill limit (despite that skill being higher). So you can have Archery calc capped at 100, but still level it up to allow you to gain PC levels and more perks. But all the damage etc. is then calculated as if Archery is still at 100.

If you use ENB, then: UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false

Well, no, but if you took 20 of those rusty armors, 10 baskets full of apples, all my potions that I bought at the local alchemist shop, and then came back next day to sell it all back to me.... I would possibly call the guards to arrest you! This sounds like a good idea for a mod in fact: Once you have someone's trust and gratitude, you are allowed to take some items from their home UP TO a combined certain value. Once you take enough items to reach that value they won't allow you to take anymore and they it's marked as stealing again.

This sounds more like general support request rather than Pack. Moving to Support Forums. If this ever evolves into a Pack guide we can move back. Now, in reply to OP. I can tell you that mixing SkyRe in requires A LOT of custom patching, as it is a major overhaul that touches pretty much every single aspect of the game. Without custom patches I don't think you can pull this off without problems arising later down the line. I use majority of STEP:Extended mods in conjunction with SkyRe + quite a few other mods. I tried multiple times to achieve a stable build, yet my efforts proved unsuccessful so far. The fault was always on my side, putting too many scripted mods, which in time made the game unplayable. The reasons were always either freezes or ILS. Now, Safety Load may help. It didn't help me, as I was getting CTD's with it, and was not able to use it. I'm pretty sure It corrupted my saves. Some people use it without any problems though, it seems to be system dependant. I have just completed my new build and I'm using the new Memory Patch instead of Safety Load. Hopefully this will work, as Safety Load did help at first and I was enjoying a stable and very playable Skyrim (see my STEP page, link in the signature). I'm in the process of testing it now, as of yesterday. If you want to hold your horses, I can provide you with the modlist, install order and the custom patches I made to make this work together, once I confirm if the build is stable enough to play. You can then mirror it and let me know how it works for you? I have a plan to convert it into a proper Pack, once I am confident that it works correctly.

We had, and I've just merged the two :)

SKYRIMLE aMidianborn Imperial Forts (by CaBaL)
rootsrat replied to lubojart's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I prefer Cabal's for all. They look the best IMHO. Rounded stones look great from the distance, but not so good up close (however there was only 1 shot of it). -
A good test case for this is to do an intro Helgen run with heavily modded game. I have never succeeded in this previously and there was always a crash at some point, most notably when entering the keep with either of the two guys. With MemPatch enabled I was able to do full into up to the point when we exit the cave and Alduin flies away. I'm in the process of setting up all the mods now and will continue to Riverwood and then to Whiterun, as crashes are likely to happen during that run. There are a few sweet spots, i.e. 2 wolves before R'wood or a giant fight on Pelagia's farm etc. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk EDIT By fully modded game I understand 184 active plugins + the textures, models etc.

SKYRIMLE aMidianborn Imperial Forts (by CaBaL)
rootsrat replied to lubojart's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
For this compares it's aMB for me all the way. SRO doesn't seems much of an improvement in a couple of cases, and even though aMB is different to vanilla, it's not different enough to reject it I think. Quality-wise, it's much much better than SRO. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
rootsrat replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Great work, SRB! TR wins for me here, it's true to vanilla style, but better - and SRTO looks even worse than vanilla in some cases. -

rootsrat replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
@Admins/Release Coords Can we move this one to testing? I checked it in game and they are much better than Better Circlets STEP currently uses IMHO. I'm in the process of testing my new build, I will be able to provide some compares soon. -
