  1. +1 Too much messing for little benefit ingame.
  2. In terms of STEP mandate, both mods deviate slightly from vanilla in some cases (this is true especially to Better Criclets gems, if you look at the inventory models) and stay true to it in some other cases. So in that respect either fits into STEP. Style-wise, I like Better Circlets inventory model, but I think that Elegant Circlets look better in game. They seem cleaner, smoother and just better fit than BC. I don't particularly like the gems on either of the mods, but see below. I prefer the Elegant Criclets look on character, because they are brighter and better visible, I also like the ornamentation more. Side note: Better Circlets onyx is not an onyx. Elegant Circlets onyx is a black, matt something. I don't like either, but there is another mod that changes the circlets gems only, so maybe we could also test that one, to see the combined results. All in all, my final verdict would be for Elegant Circlets. It is a clear improvement over vanilla, better looking on character and I think, overall, it deviates from it less than BC, therefore fits the mandate better. I think it's the weird lighting in qasmoke cell.
  3. I think on Nexus you have nice closeups and best quality texture, whilst here is comparison shots and only 1k Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  4. SCREEN COMPARISONS
  5. OK, 61 screenshot compares (2 per circlet - on character and in-inventory + and a list with the order they are presented) uploading now. Might take a while, as I'm still on copper (fiber optic connection in about 2 weeks or so, YEAH!)
  6. Maybe because these are not open faced helmets...? :D
  7. Thanks for your opinion Cabal, I highly value your input. I agree on the shiny vs opalescent, now that you mentioned it. The rest is just a technical jargon I don't understand, so I'm just gonna take your word for it :) I'll still have a look in game, but I'm slightly put off towards this mod now.
  8. Nope, not at all. I was getting microstutter previous to using any ENB. Could someone please read the post above and confirm my findings under different GPU/RAM? Well, for what it's worth, I never had any stuttering in Skyrim when NOT using ENB. The cause of stuttering issues tend to be different depending on type of card and/or individual system configurations. I know at the AMD boards some people have huge problems with a particular model while others have no issues with the same model (and same game). In my experience on my HD6950, some vsync software works better than others, but this is also circumstantial. For instance, RadeonPro Vsync is superb for most games but with ME3 (or Skyrim) I cannot use radeonpro vsync because there is still tearing even though the fps is at 60. With regards to ENB vsync, if I use ENBoost but do NOT enable the ENB vsync ánd leave the game's vsync (ipresentinterval) enabled, then the result is screen tearing all over the place. Stutter on my system is completely dependent on the memory settings I choose for ENBoost. For me the stuttering started when I've started using MemPatch 3.0... Never experienced it before. I recently lowered down my ENB Local ini settings to mirror my VRAM (2048) and the stuttering stopped.
  9. I hold my judgement until I see it in game. I will make some comparison shots as soon as I get some time, probably tomorrow or day after.
  10. Where's the testing evidence then? I remember some flamer armor being tested and rejected, being too plastic or something, but I don't think it was this one. Unless I've missed the original thread in search results and this is a dupliacte thread! ::EDIT:: Wasn't it this one? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34395/? ::EDIT2:: Yes it was, it's here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=2242
  11. Discussion thread: Cultist Decapitation Fix by pauderek Wiki Link New upload. It fixes the... cultist mask decapitation. A mesh replacer basically, same as Argonian Decapitation Fix currently in STEP. No brainer. I'll move it to testing, as presumably we do want it, no? Accepted for STEP:Core 2.2.9 (pending that it is not better for Extended in the event of too many complex downstream conflicts with Packs) Cultist Mask Decapitation Fix MT Notes: EssArrBee - "This was confirm to work by user CJ2311 here. I also confirmed not in UDBP or the beta." To Do Notes:Confirm the bug, confirm the fix. Also, visit USKP changelog for beta version to see if pending release has this fix.
  12. Sakredo, welcome to hel... I mean to the forums!
  13. Interesting. I will have to experiment with lower values I think. Z - that's what may have been causing your stuttering!
  14. Glad you got it sorted. Marking as Solved.
  15. Probably are. Would need testing and comparing.
  16. Shall we consider adding this to STEP? It can be viewed as a fix of broken vanilla quests. It doesn't add any new content, it only unlocks vanilla stuff that Bethesda failed to complete before the game was released. I'll move it and see what people say, we can always move it back.
  17. What do you think guys? Should we test this against STEP?
  18. I checked this mod in TES5EDIT. Some of the scripts are referencing non-existing objects (properties in a script do, to be more specific). I don't know enough about testing to tell whether this is an issue, but I won't be using this just in case.
  19. Moving this one to testing, it looks promising!
  20. I'll move it to testing, it may look good with STEP.
  21. Yeah, I am very pleased with these textures. Awesome work, they look awesome in game. I'll move it to testing.
  22. Ah! Nice one :) Glad you got it sorted and that it was such a trivial error! Downloading now. ::EDIT:: Think the servers are still syncing the file. Will get it when it available.
  23. That's strange.. the spriggan shouldnt be like that. Can you tell me how you installed it and what file you're using? I use Spriggan and Matron Replacer file from Optional Files section on Nexus. I installed it in Mod Organizer, as per usual, double clicking on the file. It replaces the following files for me: ::EDIT:: Jeezas, I feel like I'm back at work - I test software for a living and this feels like bug reporting :D
  24. Ok, here goes. For this one, I noticed that the separate retexture optional file DOES NOT overwrite any vanilla files when installed. Rengel, could you shed some light on this please? CORRECTION: It's the Wisp Mother retexture that does not overwrite any vanilla files, not this one. Nevertheless, the below showed in my game for spriggan texture... At the moment, the spriggan has no texture applied to it, however the spriggan matron one works perfectly fine. Apologies for not 1:1 compares, but it's hard to take perfect shots of hostile toons in game. I do like the Matron retexture I must say, but Spriggan needs to be fixed.
  25. Ok, here's the compare of vanilla wisp mother and Rengel's. I must say it doesn't look good at all. Bear in mind this is pure vanilla HRDLC and no ENB or any other modifications. For some reason it looks extremely better on mod page's screenshots. Perhaps with ENB enabled it would look better. I haven't got a STEP profile in my MO at the moment, so perhaps someone with such a profile could do compares as well, to see how it looks within modded game? I will make compare screens with my own profile (much more extended than STEP). We'll see how it looks then. :: UPDATE :: 2 more screens added, I use my full gaming profile for this one, which includes Skylight ENB. It looks much better than with vanilla lighting and lack of post processing. I like the transparent scarf/dress, whatever she's wearing, however the solid, ice-like body doesn't appeal to me. I would like to see more detail on her face, maybe not as much as on my gaming profile, but still. As it stands now, vanilla is much better IMHO. ::EDIT:: Just noticed this: I also like darker claws that the vanilla wispmother has - it looks kind of like blood. Moved screen compares to OP
