  1. Tried that. Is it supposed to be just an .exe file that runs in about 2 seconds? That is what it did and seemed to say all was registered ok and should run on a double click. Problem still persists though. By the way, my thanks to everyone trying to help me out here - much kudos traveling in your general directions.
  2. Well no I can't it seems. If I double click on the .jar files nothing happens though the windows batch file in ASIS works. Clearly something is preventing java from running but I am at a loss to what. Everything on the web talks about re-installing java, I could not do this at all when I first encountered the problem I would get a 1603 error code which is something to with windows, then eventually it installed. But wont run apparently.
  3. Thanks for replying, I do not have that argument in place. I wouldn't know where to look for it, I mean the ini change in Java not in MO, I made some adjustments using advice from a thread here for getting PaMa to work that I can no longer find, but since I completely re-installed Java the changes I made will no longer be in place. I re-installed the patchers as well and all point to the correct place. No clue as to what caused it all to change. Nothing on the Internet it would seen either. So likely it is something that has been changed in the registry perhaps. Not sure how to get into that in win7 but I guess there will be instructions on the on-line for that. Bloody windows updates (the only thing that happened between skyproc working one day and not the next, though rolling back did not solve it). If I can't find a solution I guess I will have to wait for DA:I and leave skyrim alone for a bit.
  4. Infuriatingly I am having this problem. I tried switching off everything security wise but still skyproc programs wont execute. Just get the refresh bar and that's it. I did not change anything, normally runs fine then not working since yesterday. There was a microsoft update, so I tried a System restore but no luck. I can't seem to find any solution to the problem. The worse thing is that it has happened to me before, I do not remember how I fixed it (hopefully not the time I reformatted my main SSD and reinstalled windows) so at a loss of what to do. I tried re-installing and updating and that would not work at first but finally got that sorted. I reinstalled all of the patchers in MO so they were pointing at the correct place. There are no error messages. So the same problem as described above but not the same solution it would seem. Any Help would be brilliant.
  5. You log in to the SR:LE page. Left click on the PAGE TOOLS button in the right hand corner of the tab bar, scroll down to HISTORY and there you have it. SIGH!
  6. STEP and SR:LE have made a wealth of different choices about textures, meshes, content etc there is no easy way to merging the two without making a lot of decisions about what textures you want to win in any conflict. STEP and SR:LE will look similar but SR:LE adds so much more to the game. STEP is meant to be a foundation upon which to build whereas SR:LE is a personalized build that adheres to many STEP ideals but then adds far more content and gameplay changes (these are not anywhere near complete yet (my guess)). I f you want to merge the two it is not really possible to explain how to do this easily. I would suggest that you install STEP then add in those mods that you want from SR:LE. Or install SR:LE and build on that, STEP adds nothing to SR:LE just a difference of opinion in some areas and far less content, but as stated in an earlier post they are different philosophies and a very different approach. It is far more important to choose the look you want and the gameplay values you want, than how many different mods you have, and then of course how well your rig handles it.
  7. SR:LE is an entirely different set up to STEP, they do share some similar mods and ideals towards lore friendliness but are other wise very different philosophies. It would be a very good idea to install SR:LE on a different profile and follow the instructions exactly, you will learn tons of modding gold. If doing that I would duplicate those mods that are shared with STEP but have different install instructions adding SR to the end of the name for clarity or if disc space does not allow then copy your mod folder to your storage drive and start again in a pristine mods folder. It is well worth putting the time in do learn how to mod and nobody can really do that for you. Before you do any of this though, make sure you like what SR;LE is doing first (why wouldn't you). All told it only takes a few hours to do (once you know what you are doing) but the first time can take a day, or so, but again well worth it.
  8. I would avoid the immersive survival pack, as it adds a greater load than can easily be handled by a heavily modded skyrim especially with Requiem. The survival pack is similar but smaller in scope and is more compatible. I do not know what happened to the chap who put that pack together but he hasn't been around for a while so some parts may be out of date but don't quote me on that. I am thinking of changing from Frostfall to Hypothermia due to scripting issues. Frostfall is arguably the better mod and adds so much to the game but if your focus is making the game more difficult then a less script heavy mod will be a bonus I need to look into that, anyway wrong thread for that kind of discussion. But to go back to above quote yes pretty much all will be compatible just bear in mind that SR:LE already has all the key elements of Weather and Lighting and survival packs so I would only add Requiem to SR:LE. War and Companions packs could be added as well but you are only really talking about ESF Companions and CWO mods really some of the others could cause problems with the parts adventurers pack - might still be workable though. Next is the plugin count with REGS and Requiem you will go over the 255 plugin limit, fortunately there is much mergiung that can be done. All of the above should be apparent when you look into each pack in comparison to SR:LE. Thoroughly recommend Requiem with SR:LE as they work really well together .
  9. I went out to the shops while PaMa was running it was just about done by the time I returned. Looks great though and seems to play well, though level up screen was very slow to load. Then again I have gone overboard on mods again without actually trying to go overboard if you get my drift. I guess SoT is always going to be one mod too many without cutting out a lot of other stuff.
  10. It depends, Neo has built a large conflict resolution patch upon which many mods depend. If a mod you don't want is a master for this patch then it becomes an editing issue in TES5Edit. If you build your own CR patch as advised then you can just omit those mods that you don't want. So yes you can omit mods from SR:LE but I would not advise it because it is a very finely crafted set of mods. Adding to it is good taking away potentially bad. This is of course all up to you. I have removed Realistic Room Rental, ELFX and Enhanced Blood, instead I have ETaC complete with Inns, Better Blood Splatters (no scripts) and Pure Weather, Expanded Snow Systems, Splash of Rain and Supreme Storms. Only a little editing needed but suits me much better.
  11. More treasure maps - Should be fine. (Not used by me before NUBMB) Sunken Treasures - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Moonpath to Elsweyr - Should be fine - patch needed for Realistic Room Rental mod. Interesting NPCs - Should be fine. Populated Forts Towers Places (by RS) - Should be fine. WAO - Weather and Ambience Overhaul Megapatch - Do not need this, you can add Expanded Snow Systems and Supreme Storms after CoT in the left hand column then use the relevant options when installing Vividian ENB Agent of Righteous Might - Should be fine. (NUBMB) The Elder Scrolls Quest Series - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Immersive Patrols - Already in SR:LE Hunterborn - Should be fine. Fences of Skyrim - Should be fine. (NUBMB) World Map - Skyrim Hold Borders - Should be fine. Fishing In Skyrim - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Pumping Iron - Dynamic Muscle Growth - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Athletics Training - with MCM - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Scarcity - Less Loot Mod - Should be fine. (NUBMB) Loot and Degradation - Should be fine. Achieve That - Should be fine. Fire and Ice Overhaul - Should be fine. That said many of the mods I have not really tried myself (marked) so my "- Should be fine" comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. If any of those mods change things in cells or similar then there will be conflicts that will need to be resolved.
  12. I know but some times I just want to get on with it, though I do like the mod and I have it, also it is in my Survival pack, so definitely a fan (which I kind of implied with my first post).
  13. It's a great mod and very immersive but also sometimes a PITA, sometimes I just wont bother to loot an animal corpse but that's just probably me being lazy.
  14. It's in this post on the previous page and now of course here - have fun.
  15. I have made a link on this thread to a patch which pretty much gets 1.8,1.1 working with STEP though I have not had time to test it I think it is good. SR:LE and REGS though have more difficulties as far as patching goes with the new Requiem. As for merging patches the rule of thumb I use is generally to not renumber the form IDs this is because they have other mods as masters and I worry that they may not work properly if I did. I am not an expert on this but it has worked for me. All of Azirok's patches merge well and there is a note about this in the guide. As for mods that have multiple plugins or are standalone then I do renumber the form IDs. Hope this helps.
  16. Iobit make Razor Game Booster, I suspect the answers is that you do use RGB, or near as possible. Not sure what difference it makes but it might be a factor so shouldn't be dismissed so quickly.
  17. No worries mate. I use SR:LE over STEP and it does work really well with Requiem, you might say they were made for each other. SR:LE includes lighting, weather and survival mods so I Would just add REGS and then Requiem. One problem you will run into is the 255 plugin limit so some merging is necessary. You will come across this in you install of SR:LE, you will also need to do this with REGS patches and Requiem patches. to get under the limit. It is doable though and it is well worth it.
  18. SR:LE is not a pack but a full alternative to STEP. You can't really add it to STEP. Immersive survival has some mods that may not play nice with Requiem and it is out of date The other s will work but I would go for Survival pack plus Hunterborn which has a Requiem patch.
  19. Tricky one to answer without knowing which ones you want to install. Let me know and I will get back to you with guidance. My packs should all be self explanatory as should REGS. Of course that does not mean that you will work it out straight away. If you have a fully working STEP install that you did yourself, you should be able to install all the packs. They are designed to be installed after all STEP mods, but you can mix them into relevant sections should you feel confident to do so but I would install each pack separately and test. E.G if you wanted to install my packs then go Survival Pack - then test. Weather and lighting - then test, Then Requiem pack. When using LOOT as instructed by STEP you will run into some issues with Requiem. It ideally needs to load very late in your load order with any patches loading after it. My basic advice is to use LOOT to order everything before installing Requiem and it's patches then manually order them in the load order shown on the guide. The more advanced advice is to let LOOT sort everything including Requiem and then build a compatibility patch to bring forward any conflicts that you want Requiem to win (which should be all of them). Hope this helps for now.
  20. Nah I use the original settings, when you tweak you potentially put things out of balance. It works well as it is, the tweaks that I might play with are the weight of gold and or arrows. I leave some weight on the arrows but I find it too much of a pain when testing not being able to carry much even though it is more realistic. When I get back to Requiem myself for my full on tough play through i will leave all the weights as they are and try to keep it real - it is more fun that way as a game but annoying if you are testing mod compatibility.
  21. Requiem basically multiplies armor and weapon values by around 4 so 550 is not so far out when you consider that a weapon does a lot more damage. This means that if you wear heavy armor with perks you can survive fights quite well but a low level character in light armor had better be fast on his feet or sneaky else he's toast. This is a deliberate function of Requiem your health stamina etc, tend to be on the low side to ensure that you play strategically. This system has been tweaked considerably in the latest version an improvement by all accounts. Hope this helps.
  22. Yes you are right about Vividian, I forgot about that, so you need exactly no patches now then except those for non SR mods. Caution though Neo is using the latest version of Vividian in the guide but still has us use the CoT patch - there may or may not be a reason for this. Neo will have to catch that one.
  23. The only patch you need for SR is the AOS2_CoT3_1_patch.esp as detailed in the guide, the others are either in the CR patch or for mods not in SR:LE which you will need patches for, obviously Requiem, DCO (dragon Combat Overhaul I'm guessing), and not sure about TAD? the others are all built into the CR patch. P.S. Yes I know this was for Neo but the answers are in the guide.
  24. I think because many of those options are built into the CR patch, saves plugin slots.
  25. The guide says quite clearly to use the 1.73 version as the patches used by this guide are not compatible with 1.8+. I will update the guide when the patches are updated. That said Azirok has disappeared so no idea when that will be. There is a new set of patches which are awaiting testing these seem ideal for STEP but not as yet enough for SR:LE or indeed REGS. One of these patches gives you pretty much all that you need for STEP Extended, though not completely which is why I am not updating the guide yet. - LINK. You just need the "Requiem - Unofficial Patches Patch and Dragonborn Reqtified" patch near the end of the list for now. This should get things working but does not have all the bits you need yet, e.g. Close faced helmets. Some of these are minor though so you should be able to get things working with just this patch linked and the new updated BOYD patch as linked in the guide.
