  1. Alright I think there is a problem with the XP32 Maximum skeleton post 1.6b at least for me. I know a few other people had issues with the 1.7 update as well;. I just tried both version 1.8c and v1.81 ran FNIS as usual and it played fine for a bit. It allowed me to get past the bed for Alternate start unlike v1.7 but it randomly froze the game either as Ralof was telling you to get up after Alduin shows up in the Helgen intro or during combat in the Helgen Keep dungeon (pretty randomly too). I also tried diabling Player Headtracking, AutoPV and Face to Face Conversatin and no dice freezes in the same spots. I switch back to v1.6b and no freezes so far I was able to get out of Helgen and to the path to Riverwood no problems. Just wanted to get people's feedback to make sure I wasn't the only one. If you'd like to help me with ENB's I have a thread in this forum.
  2. Well I posted my ini files in the first post and apart from the resolution of the shadowmaps which I reduced to 1024 and 512 the only thing I did not have set right was bdrawlandshadows but the fire in the stairwell was occurring before I even had the ENB on. Hardware AA is disabled through Nvidia Inspector as per Neo's instruction, I'm using Nvidia Stable driver version 314.22. Here are my SSAO settings which I edited after looking at your mod page; after looking through the guide's forum page. ENB Off ENB On I'll do the pictures of ENB On/ENB Off of the fire in a little bit as it will require me to sit through part of the intro again. Fire with ENB Off Fire with EB On I took those ENB On/ENB Off by using shift-f12
  3. Hmm... I noticed some things with the ENB on I don't know if they are texture seams or what. The one with the stairwell I noticed before but it didn't show up nearly as badly without the ENB. It's the odd random fire effect in the top left. (it's from before alduin's fire breath and doesn't go away after either) If you look at the columns by my cursor that is the seam or whatever it is I mean Anyone mind trying the Helgen intro to see if you have the same issues with your ENB? I'm currently using Opethfeldt's ENB
  4. Interesting, I will put the particle patch just below the fire mods in my mod order then. It also seems Dual Sheath Redux overwrites the Dawnbreaker mesh. I assume I will need to let it do so?
  5. Alright hi thanks for the responses as I said I've been trying things out and will look at that thread you suggested FC. I'll also look at your ENB and settings Aiyen it looks nice from the screenshots. I forgot to check the ENB guide's thread or that it had one (slipped my mind). I still cannot figure out what this warning in the ini file is telling me @Aiyen I would also like to know where in the Skyrim Revisited load order I should place the "required mods" for your enb preset
  6. Alright so I think I have all of my freeze's taken care of, now I just need to get FPS up so it's more playable. Currently with an ENB (doesn't really matter which) I drop to ~18-23 FPS with a max of 25 (32 if I'm lucky and disabled DOF). I'm using the Skyrim Revisited recommended ENB (Realvision) at the moment with DOF off but it seems lacking for my tastes. I don't care terribly much if I have DOF on or not (if it's on it needs to be fast) and any DOF probably needs to be pretty light on resources/frame rate. Ideas? Also I know Skyrim.ini says it's missing something but I can't find the Warning file to see what. Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini
  7. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to do both it just seems a bit... redundant
  8. From what I can tell have not asked in this thread before. In any case these are suggestions for Skyrim Revisited not the general S.T.E.P. guide. Isn't that what the Mod Suggestion forum is for (General S.T.E.P. mods)?
  9. @statsmonster True I suppose. On another note has anyone tried to customize Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons so the lore unfriendly weapons and armor are removed leaving the good ones behind? I just tried adding the full packages and it seemed to cause the game to freeze (with the appropriate DSR patches of course) I assume it is because it places some of the items n dungeons and on NPC's since the leveled lists should be taken care of with the bashed patch. Going to remove them and see if the freezing stops.
  10. I'll look at langley's then I optimized it I think. It's non of the vanilla or HRDLC textures that much I do know. On the fps front I'm at ~20 fps with ENB enabled Edit: Come to think on it I optimized the whole Langleys pack instead of the archive I made for Skyrim Revisited.  Which now I look at it does not have those files. Edit #2: Yup it was Langley's thanks Wormheart
  11. Almost forgot Harvest Overhaul. It allows you to actually harvest a more realistic number of ingredients from plants and animals so say 2-5 thistle from a cluster etc. Works with Convenient Horse's harvest key.
  12. Yeah weird right? Here's what it looks like after I left the game running overnight. Nevermind it didn't look any different but same type thing is happening with the steps and interior of that same tower. I might need to reoptimize the vanilla textures. It's very strange. Also I'm still only pulling around 45-50 sometimes 60 FPS; all the way down to 38 in that cinematic. Which causes it to stutter occasionally anyone have any ini tweaks that might help? I'd like good shadows but I'd like to have an ENB as well so would probably accept the need for reduced shadows if I could get an ENB up and running. Which moss texture? If it's in the HRDLC or Vanilla then likely so. If you are talking about texture mods I didn't mess with the mossy rocks or any of those.
  13. I still need some performance advice. Also weird texture issue I guess... I'll see this and after a while it goes away (I think), or fixes itself (I think) either way it's weird.
  14. If that doesn't help try decreasing the amount of decals your game is rendering. I always advocate using skyrim configurator to change settings it usually gives a good preview of what to expect from the setting. As far as the Winderhold Destruction Ruins goes as soon as I removed the bashed patch both the esp and esm disappeared from my boss log (which it was still in as of late Thursday) oddly enough; weird ****. I also think I found the other culprit my mannequin mod (MLLY) which needs to be disabled until after character creation (I thought it would just make your character look weird if enabled during creation). Now I need to fix performance so it's 50 fps or higher so I can hopefully eliminate this occasional stutter.
  15. Have you tried the 1024 version of the mod?
  16. Here's what FNIS says and I still have no idea what it means by warning (unless it's warning about the Skyrim version) I'm using the Ultimate HD Fire Effects Med Res, SMIM Meshes and Ultimate HD Torch 1024 version. Never had a freeze using the flame spell so far. I'm using a bow (or it's in my hands) when it freezes if that makes any difference. Winterhold Destruction Ruins was completely removed weeks ago I must have been skipping over it in he list this whole time. I don't recall seeing it in BOSS but I can't find any trace of it in MO or MO's overwrite folder so I'm at a loss there. I'll do a couple registry sweeps and run CCLean again as well and see if it shows up in BOSS anymore. By Wicked AI you mean mods like SkyTEST?
  17. No I completely redid it all the normals were resized to 1024 (though Slof's AV pack seemed to be 1024x1024 anyways) and had it optimize the 2048 textures using the 2048 max res setting on DDSOpt. It appears that that did not completely solve the issue. I did a couple more runs and while it didn't freeze every time I past that point it always froze at before; it did freeze from time to time. Here's the list of masters though.
  18. Alright Iroha I could hug you. Thank you for asking me to check the masters I'd looked for so many more complicated solutions and it seems to have been a ghosted master. I opened up Wrye Bash (because it was easier to look at the masters there) and when I looked at SUM's masters I noticed that a mod I thought I'd properly uninstalled as I was starting my Skyrim Revisited install was listed as a master. It appears (as I haven't done a full 6 hour test yet) that Expanded Winterhold Destruction ruins was the culprit. Turns out it was still listed as a master in my Bashed Patch (which I use just to make sure all the leveled lists are taken care of) despite it (EWDR) no longer being installed. So somehow I had a ghost esm listed as a master in my rebuilt bashed patch... which apparently didn't cause problems normally but as soon as AV was involved (I guess the engine involved in the randomization) caused it to cry uncle. Go figure! So I deleted the bashed patch completely and told Wyre Bash to make a new one and so far no freezing at the spot(s) it was. Now I need to tweak some ini settings for draw distance and see if I can get some better FPS. With the Borderless Window plugin I'm able to run in 1920x1080 @ 45-53 FPS (more often 48 or so with the occasional stutter) Does anyone know the distance at which trees can be drawn without being seen? What I mean is say I'm on a cliff and I want to see the trees at the bottom of the cliff (and as far as I can see) what is the minimum setting for that? I think it is called load distance (at least that's what skyrim configurator calls it (the default setting appears to be 50000.0000) with high detail draw distance at my custom setting at 2500 (still need to toy with that). If anyone can think of anything that has an impact on performance but no real quality difference (perceptible) then I'd appreciate a post. Is that too much text? Let me know if it needs to be put in a spoiler or something. Optimized AV Package Log.7z
  19. I followed the SR suggestions mostly. I didn't like some of the packs or choices and like Slof's horses better overall. I did optimize the AV textures (though idk if I did the normals) but will do it again to be sure. I'm actually having trouble getting it to optimize the AV packs this time. It's not processing the files at all (I checked nothing is output to the destination if I untick passthrough) Edit: Forgot about folder structure requirement
  20. Any ideas to help me try and keep AV installed (if it is a resource RAM freeze/ctd) @Iroha but that is very likely not the issue here. When I have AV running it gives me freezes between Riverwood and Helgen at places with quest markers or other similar things it seems. Removing AV fixes it. But I don't want to go without it.
  21. How would that help? It's a mod issue. Turning off Automatic Variants lets me get past the quest marker (which apparently triggers in the spot I kept freezing) but this is not acceptable I want(require) Automatic variants for immersion. So can anyone think of some mods for me to turn off instead of AV?
  22. I performed the tweaks Neovalen said to in the Skyrim Revisited Guide.
  23. I decreased the resolution, removed borderless window and decreased the resolution. And no I'm not using SkyRe as it requires the DLC's and it still freezes I couldn't really get it to before AV. I also tried it with nothing btu the HRDLC and running just AV still a freeze right near Hellgen.
  24. Anyone aware of any conflicts whatsoever between Automatic Variants and any mods at all? I assume there aren't. Maybe it just wasn't as stable as it appeared. I was playing for a few hours testing it out before I put AV in. I had gotten the RAM usage down to 1900-2200MB on average before putting AV in. It was ~2100(on average)-2400MB and it started freezing in random places. I'll try putting the resolution back down to 1600x900. Here's the BOSS log. I disabled Werewolf Mastery (Non-Dawnguard Version) and Better Vampires (Non-Dawnguard Version) and that didn't help. I have to say the skse borderless window trick (works better than Simple Borderless Window) helps alot I don't have to keep logging out of windows to get Skyrim closed. I shouldn't be skyTEST BOSSlog May 21 2013.txt
  25. I've tried that but I've waited an hour or more (probably something freaky like my desktop got selected) and it sits at refreshing file lists at about 45 mins in onwards. I also have to keep the stock .ini file for this not to happen it seems. I dual booted to my other HDD and was able to do it there but it was alot slower than through my SSD of course. I totally forgot to try nuking the registry values for output >v< Problem solved.
