I wish he had come out with hard times a few months earlier. the beta upload was about 45 hours into my current playthrough, and i'm at 80 hours right now and I can't be asked to start again since this is my first serious playthrough after spending over 1k hours in game.

I got a small book of prayers, and some candy and a small monetary gift. Unfortunately I'm across the country from my family, so the gifts from coworkers is about it for now :p

Where Skyre has a crap ton of perks to choose from, to enhance the "power leveler" style of play for those that just want to see their character leveling constantly, Requiem focuses on forcing the player to get fully immersed into a particular class and playstyle. Choosing the correct perks in the skill trees is paramount to playing a solid character with requiem because you level slowly (customizable in mcm now though), and making the wrong move in the perk trees can cause for some....class malfunctions for at least the next few levels. The downside to this though is that you become a literal powerhouse when you reach the end game content. Ogreboss has been working on making endgame harder though, to match the difficulty of the beginning and mid game content.

PPR Mod (Project Photo Realistic)
deathneko11 replied to shockz's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Sorry for not getting back with you before now. I did some short testing, and I compared the water in the last file you had up to real life water in similar situations, similar bodies of water. It did look similar, but something about the speed and movement of it threw me off. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have now, I promise to give you a more detailed review when I get the next files from you. I've just been so darn busy past couple of weeks to really do anything, but I get a few days off this week! *cheers* -
This mod is hell on rangers like myself. Arrows don't go to the crosshair anymore, and throws the bows with sights mods I like to use completey out of the picture. If not for that I'd use it myself.

I like dark dungeons, but I also like to be able to see to some extent. I will be deviating from "vanilla dark dungeons", and there are several places where the lighting is just fake (glow fogs anyone?). As far as cinematic? I won't go the ELFX route and take chunks out of the walls and cielings for skylights and pretty dust effects or whatever, but where appropriate I can come up with some alternatives. Where there are holes such as this I will however attempt to add realistic affects that match weather (such as making a denser snow drift coming from a cieling hole when you are in a dungeon where snow is blowing in, like the entrance to bleak falls). Just adding a proper light to candles in several places can make a big change when there was originally just a glow mesh from the candles.

Haven't heard from him in months. His writing on the nexus states he might actually have a chance for recovery instead of a grave though. Thousands have been donated to him through the Nexus and it's literally kept him alive this long.

sorry, i couldn't get into nexus to find the link earlier.

download link from Nexus to MO denied
deathneko11 replied to num9yne's question in Mod Organizer Support
Updating MO should fix it. the Nexus just recently changed a bunch of stuff and Mod Organizer had to reconfigure some things for connectivity. I think most bugs have been fixed, but still somewhat in the test waters. Also, nexus is down right now. Possible DDoS attack. -
I just wanted to let ya'll know that I'm off my modding hiatus and have already started to work with daemonui on RLO again. The dungeons have long been overdue for some love. Wish me luck! :D

I'm officially building my Rig! one part at a time, help required

For sound card? I bought a soundblaster, the champion edition. Best sound decision of my life, and I paid $90 bucks for it. Cheap and high quality. -
Tannin I can see where you are going with this but to be honest I cannot abide with the modding community if it is going to grow stale due to the reasons and implications that you have stated. I honestly think that if we were to continue with the same tools due to using the same or a similar engine then the modding community WILL grow stale, because of so many limitations that we have to put up with when we are trying to create something new for our games. If the engine were to upgrade, yes it would take some years to get the ball rolling to catch up with it with new script extenders, mod packages and installers, new creation kit, etc but the benefits would far outweight the cost of doing so because it would give the modding community a chance to grow.

SKYRIMLE Face to face conversation (by towawot)
deathneko11 replied to tizgrilo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't find it annoying personally. It gives me a good reason to use better texture mods for faces, hair, brows, beards, etc, especially since I play on such a small screen. On my 16 inch monitor it brings faces to life where I can't see much from a distance. -
pfft, gopher trashed one of his saves? and he is advocated as the go to guy for modding safety and stability by his followers. Sorry, had to laugh at this one. I even remember a statement made by him in a video a few months ago where he stated he has never crashed in game due to mod instability, when a year and half ago he had issues in skyrim stability.

got ya! ;) now let's not get the thread off topic k?

Launchers, loaders, and ini tweaks
deathneko11 replied to mtar925's question in Mod Organizer Support
I absolutely HATE using this method. The reason being that yes, it is a good indicator of performance inside the city, but a poor indicator of performance outside the city. I have seen this spot tested in my personal experimenting at a full 35 fps and yet seen some exterior cells in the outer world drop down to 15 (not what I play with trust me, this was back when I was testing some rediculous mods). Not everyone is going to get a reliable test because of this reason. -

All right so I can't remember which thread we were discussing the wiki in before, but I'm ready to start plugging in new video tutorials. I need to know which sections of the wiki are finished and ready for the videos so I know what to cover and what to wait on.
