  1. If you created your own categories then you can look for categories.dat from the MO1 and copy it to MO2. Put it in whatever your base folder is and restart MO.
  2. Good luck with that. I thought of something else, do you have any programs that have an in-game overlay like Steam in game overlay, which you should disable. Things to look at are GeForce Experience overlay, Any Video card overclocking utility and if you have a Logitech mouse or keyboard there is a chance the gaming software install has installed Overwolf another game overlay.
  3. I have to say I am stumped. If you have Winzip or 7zip installed on your system you can set them up as an executable and run them from MO. You can navigate to the data folder from inside to see if they can see the installed ESPs and ESMs. In looking over the pictures I noticed that FO4edit is at version 3.2.1. You can try installing the current beta, 3.2.62 Experimental from Github. The same for LOOT.
  4. Now that I look at my other installs, it can stay there. The installed mods in MO are in their own mods folder. When you press run MO presents the mods to the game or any other executable run from MO. If a program run from MO can't see the mods then the VFS is not working. MO will see any ESP or ESM installed in the games data folder and it will appear as a Non-MO mod. You probably have done this already, but give this another try. I would try a new instance either from the Skyrim SE Nexus page or github. Use the Zipped pre-installed version from the Nexus if you go there. Unblock the archive and extract to a different drive if you have one or a new folder on C drive. Run MO and make sure you use a portable install. This will set the directories to the MO2 location. Create a new profile and install a mod and see if this makes any difference.
  5. Mod Organizers program hooking is seen by all AV programs as a problem and thus they will block and even remove executables from your system as well as any script extender you have installed. There are things you can do to mitigate this though. You can exclude the executables from the AV program. When you download an archive or installer, before you extract or install, right click on the download and select properties and check for the "Unblock" box. This will tell Windows you trust the download. Never install Mod Organizer in the games directory. It should be installed into it own directory away from Windows UAC controlled folders, like C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86), as these are UAC controlled folders. Cracked versions of the game will also break the USVFS system and give varying problems that are hard to pinpoint.
  6. Your base directory, the directory where MO2 is installed, is C:/Fallout 4 directory. The managed game is at D:/SteamLibrary/staemapps/common/Fallout 4. From the log I see that the data path is “C:/Mod Organizer 2†and the Working directory is also “C:/Mod Organizer 2†when they should be D:/SteamLibrary/staemapps/common/Fallout 4. This is possibly from another install of MO. Shut down MO and open ModOrganizer.ini and look for the “gamePath=†line. It probably looks like this “C:\\Mod Organizer 2â€. It should look like this “D:\\SteamLibrary\\steamapps\\common\\Fallout 4†without the quotes. You can change the line to this or you can rename the ModOrganizer.ini to something else and restart MO. This will in effect reset MO to a fresh install state.
  7. The more info the better. Can you provide a picture of the paths tab from MO? A picture of the executables, FO4edit and LOOT. Stretch the window to show the full path to the binary. Also do the following, from MO open the logs folder from the icon and then shut down MO. Delete the logs. Restart MO and run one of the programs and shut it down and then MO. Provide the logs that are generated.
  8. version 2.1.3 is an old version. You should upgrade to at least 2.1.5 from the Skyrim SE nexus page or from the Builds section of the of the Discord server. Links to Discord are on the MO2 page.
  9. Which version of MO2 are you running? There is the official release form the nexus and there is the version from the builds section of the MO2 discord server. I highly recommend getting the version from the Discord server and downloading that version. Make sure to unblock the download once it is downloaded and before you extract and overwrite your current install. This version is being updated constantly and has incorporated many fixes to make it more useable and stable. You can get to the Github release page from any MO2 Nexus page.
  10. I ran into a similar issue on my system with a drive that was showing full, but there was not a lot stored there. I realized that this was my Windows file history drive. I want into the backup settings and changed the "Keep my backups" from forever to a lower setting. I also removed some folders while I was in there and ended up deleting a lot of really old files. It may be worth a look to see if this is happening to you.
  11. Did you create a new profile or copy the previous profile? Sounds like you created a new one as that will be the default result. You can forgo the hours of redoing it all by copying loadorder.txt and modlist.txt from the old profile to the new profile.
  12. Sorry about that, I haven't touched any of the older games in for a long time.
  13. Both Bethini and fallout4 Config will write to falloutcustom.ini. If you want to have profile specific customization or settings always applied on game load, you can create a mod and add an ESP or ESL to load your custom ini. You have to create an ini file like "MyCustomIniTweaks.ini" and a ESP or ESL called "MyCustomIniTweaks.esl" to load the MyCustomIniTweaks.ini. The ESL can be blank. I use this to basically load my special tweaks, falloutcustom.ini, that I do not want to change.
  14. You can make a shortcut to the desktop of the executable used to start the game from the drop down under the run button and launch the game that way. This will not launch the MO interface at all. I don't think the MO interface has anything to do with it though. Most likely a windows process or another program running in the background. You can try closing some programs from the taskbar before running the game.
  15. You can't run two instances at once by design. What you can do is point both instances to the location of the downloads, profiles and installed mods from the settings dialog. I have set up my system so that I have them on a separate drive from where I have the game and MO installed. This way I can install a new version of MO for testing and point it to those locations without mucking up my working copy.
  16. Sounds like either a Windows UAC problem or an Antivirus program interfering with some MO files. Where is MO installed? Did you install MO as a Global instance and Portable instance?
  17. First off, I have not run Skyrim LE from MO2 so there may be a problem I am not aware of when using SKSE. You can always download the archive version of MO1.xx and copy it to a temporary directory, pointing it to the MO2 folders and test to see if it works from MO1. If it works, then MO2 install most likely is bad. Where did you download MO2 and how did you install it? MO2 is constantly being updated on the discord server, while the Nexus version will be static until the next release. You may want to go over there and download the most recent version under the Builds channel. It is only an archive download and copy and paste to update. Should be easy depending on your level of PC experience. Just ask is you have questions. The link to the discord site is on the first comment of the posts tab of the Skyrim SE Nexus page. When installing MO 2 do not install to a Windows UAC protected folder and it should not be installed into the games directory. It should be installed in its own directory on any drive on your system. When you download an archive and after it finishes downloading you want to right click on it and select properties from the selection. At the bottom right, you should see a security section. There will should be a box next to “Unblock†which will need to be checked. Click apply and Ok. You can now extract and copy the archive to its destination. Some other things you can check: Under settings (the wrench and screwdriver icon) go to the workarounds tab and make sure that the “Load mechanism†is set to Mod organizer. SKSE: I see by the SKSE mod that you have v1.07.03 installed and by the icon the scripts are installed. Make sure it is the version for the Skyrim LE and not Skyrim SE. I would download the 7z archive and install that way instead of using the installer version. Remember to unblock it as stated above. Copy skseXXX.dll, skse_loader.exe and skse_steam_loader.dll to the Skyrim root directory of the game. If you can please provide a screenshot of the Paths tab from the settings
  18. I would like to point out that Pra has been porting xedit scripts to zedit. They can be found at Pra's zEdit Scripts - Automated Patch Generation RELOADED.
  19. I believe the HDT Physics Extensions mod is an skse mod without any ESP or ESM. Edit: if you right click any of the column headers in the left pane you will a context menu. In that menu you can select which columns show up in the left pane. Put a check into the "content" box and you will see at a glance what type of files are contained in the mod, which will also make screenshots easier to troubleshoot.
  20. Sounds like Antivirus activity to me. I would download an archive version of MO2 from the discord channel and before unzipping the archive, right click on it and select "Unblock" and then copy the files to their final destination. This should be away from any Windows UAC controlled folders and not in the games directory.
  21. You state you use the "Logitech Setpoint software" for mapping of buttons. Isn't the Setpoint software a little old? I thought the "Logitech Gaming software" was the universal software now. There was a user that had an issue with Setpoint Software in the original 1x version of Mod organizer by Tannin and the only cure was the run the Setpoint software as an administrator, after MO was restarted it would work.
  22. I am not seeing the SKSE mod in the left pane or have you installed it in the vanilla data folder? You should install the data folder from the archive version of SKSE, it the scripts to make it run, from MO2 so the scripts can be available for the game. This will also make any updates easier to do when they come out.
  23. Glad you got it figured out. We do not delete posts so that others that have similar problems might find this useful.
  24. A CDT is a "Crash to the Windows Desktop" while in the game. Basically your game disappears and you are left looking at your wallpaper.
  25. Sometimes an ESM will not register activated when installed. You have to make sure the offending ESM is checked then you may need to refresh the left pane, right click and empty area and select refresh or you can restart MO.
