CTD after map fast travel, esp into an inn
GSDFan replied to Fargh's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The whistle text is from Convenient horses and there is an option in the mcm to stop the quest and give the whistle to you. It is in the mod configuration main menu bottom left. -
Just wondering if this is a new install of the game, you did not mention which one MO is being used for. The game needs to be run once from Steam to set up files and registry values for other third party tools to work with.

Mod organizer not installing any mods, tool button not working
GSDFan replied to Docterfreeze's question in Mod Organizer Support
MO will not detect that, you have to set it up yourself. From the wiki, Guide:Mod Organizer - Third Party programs: General application setupClick the gears button. This opens the Modify Executables window. In the Title field, type in what you want to call the application. This fills in the Title field. All the way to the right of the Binary field is a button with an ellipsis with a subtext of "Browse filesystem." Click it. This opens a window where we can browse to the program we want to run. Navigate to the folder where the program is installed and select the application. This fills in the Binary field. If the program's files are located at the same location as the executable (e.g., TESV.exe is in the Skyrim directory, whereas Reproccer.jar is not in the Java directory), steps 5 and 6 may be skipped, as they would be redundant. All the way to the right of the Start in field is a button with an ellipsis. Click it. This opens a window where we can browse to the folder where the program we want to run is located. Navigate to the folder where the program is located and select it. This fills in the Start in field. Do you need the application to call another file, or input a custom setting? Use the Arguments field for any such needs. Do you need to overwrite the Steam AppID? Almost undoubtedly not, but if you do, you can check that option and type in the appropriate AppID in the field provided. Do you desire to close MO when you start the program? Only if you are launching the game, most likely. If you do, check the Close MO when started option. Click the Add button. This will add the application to your executables list. Click Close to close the dialog.Note: Typical application setup does not require steps 5 through 9. -
Is there a way to view which profiles use a given mod?
GSDFan replied to Xander9009's question in Mod Organizer Support
Hovering the mouse over an ESP, ESM will pop up a dialog with the origin of the mod in the first line. This will be only for mods that are activated in the left pane for the current profile. Other profiles will not be shown. -
Mod organizer not installing any mods, tool button not working
GSDFan replied to Docterfreeze's question in Mod Organizer Support
When you did the path statement did you remove the arguments from the MO 4GB shortcut? Delete any arguments in the shortcut EX: -laaexe .FalloutMO.exe -
Testing behaviour of Wrye Bash via MO with bashed patch
GSDFan replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Something on your system is amiss. My report is in the D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\Docs folder. It never goes to the overwrite folder. On my system without a BP, when Wrye is run it copies the BP to the overwrite folder. When the BP is rebuilt the patch is updated. There is only the patch in the overwrite folder. When I make a mod from it, the next time I run Wrye the patch in the mod gets updated and the overwrite is empty. -
Deleting a long list of Saves is impossible in one step
GSDFan replied to Questdog's question in Mod Organizer Support
Yes, but when the confirm window comes up the bottom of the window will be off screen if there are a lot of saves selected. A work around is to right click the window and select "Move" and use the up arrow key to scroll the window or select less saves. You might want to make a ticket on the issue tracker to let Tannin know. -
Testing behaviour of Wrye Bash via MO with bashed patch
GSDFan replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
The report is rebuilt and displayed with the new info. I believe the sync to feature will only sync files that can be tracked by MO. I used to use it and was trying to document how it works, but I never finished it. I will have to look for my notes to go into more detail. -
Hi, post 8 in Mod organizer not installing any mods, tool button not working may be of some interest to you. It adds the fallout game path to the windows environment variable to help in running 4gb from MO. Just a warning, you are modifying the Windows environment variable, so make a restore point before doing this. If you are not comfortable doing this find a someone that is and have them do it. In any case please report back if it helps.

Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 not working.
GSDFan replied to NomenNescio's question in Mod Organizer Support
If you go to the Data tab, sound, fx, wpn, bow, fire there are three wav files from AOS2. If you right click on them and select open/ execute what happens, are they the right sounds that play. When I did this they opened in Windows media player. -
Testing behaviour of Wrye Bash via MO with bashed patch
GSDFan replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have not seen this. A new profile with no mods activated other that the DLC results in the BP in the overwrite folder and a full report window. Editing the report and running WRYE results in the report updating with the current run instead of the edited one. Edit: For what it is worth running Windows 8.1 x64 -
Screen Resolution. Game in small box top lh corner.
GSDFan replied to Tharg's question in Mod Organizer Support
For future reference, each profile in MO has its own set of configuration files. When doing anything that requires editing the configuration files look in Mod organizer \ profiles \ profile_Name folder. -
DarnifiedUI warning not in Start Mneu
GSDFan replied to vile83r's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
@vile83r, make sure that the start_menu.xml in Darns mod is not conflicted with any other mod. It is in menus \ options folder. project nevada and MCM both provide this file so it will need to be in a higher priority than these mods. -
No NVSE file under Data in FNV folder?
GSDFan replied to whitewolf87's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I create it as a MO mod and call it "NVSE Folder" and then make a "NVSE" folder inside the new mod. Then make the ini file inside there. -
I would follow the "incorporated mods options" of the Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade nexus page.
-
I do not used the STEP guide or the Requien pack, but you are using complete crafting overhaul and I see some ESPs in the LO that CCOR provides in the mod, jsowrds and closed face helmets stuff. You may want to go over the CCOR install again. You only need the meshes from Improved Closefaced Helmets and jaysus swords the last time I installed CCOR.

I think that the solution Tannin uses stems from the fact that the Nexus does not have a versioning standard. As stated by Tannin some time ago: “MO stores the version number from the file downloaded and compares it to the "global" version number of the mod. If they differ -> red. Therefore, if you manually set the version number to the "global" one, the version number will be green until the author changes that version number. Nexus allows arbitrary values to be entered for mods and files, the mod version could be "0.1" and the file version "old", I will never be able to deduct what the author thinks implies "newer" from that so I won't try.â€

Just a preemptive strike here before this gets out of hand. Everyone is welcome to post their thoughts in a constructive, level headed manner and engage in thoughtful conversation for the betterment of MO and STEP. Please don’t escalate this conversation to that point.

MO won't start random executables
GSDFan replied to moistnuggests's question in Mod Organizer Support
Have you run the game from outside of MO to set up the registry links so the other programs can find it? -
I have been working through MY SR:LE "ish", I got rid of COT in the process, load order one by one to determine what the problem for me is. I am down to maybe four mods and am beginning to think it is my merged or bashed patch. I have been running the patcher without creating these and have been doing OK.

Massive falloutprefs.ini duplication in Mod Organizer
GSDFan replied to grimZan's question in Mod Organizer Support
I can"t say anything specific for this problem, but make sure that no other programs loaded through MO are holding falloutprefs.ini, or any other file for that matter, open when running the game. If they are the file will grow as the file will not be released by that program when another tries to access it.- 8 replies

Run a custom file so it can see the mods?
GSDFan replied to Frejoh466's question in Mod Organizer Support
The Skyproc patchers section of Wiki should get you going. The Perkus mod is like any Skyproc patcher. they have to be run from inside of MO Once it is installed and activated you have to go to the Data tab in the right pane and scroll down to the Skyproc patchers, T3ndo_PatchusMaxinus folder and right click the XXXX.jar file and add it as an executable. -
Help Google chrome Can't download(Already looked at Pinned one)
GSDFan replied to Gilgamesh's question in Mod Organizer Support
Don't forget that in its default state chrome will have a bunch of background apps running when the main window closes. I do not know if they will interfere with anything, but it is a good idea to make sure they are closed also to avoid any problems with all of this. You will find it under settings, Show advanced settings, Continue running background apps when Google Chrome closes check box. -
Unable to run SkyProc Patchers through MO
GSDFan replied to IrishBandit's question in Mod Organizer Support
Google "jar fix" to download a program to fix the jar file association. It should have softpedia as the top link.
