Then I guess that tweak probably won't work on multi-monitor setups. No wonder it was disabled by default.- 46 replies

GUIDE Guide:Skyrim Configuration Settings
DoubleYou replied to Octopuss's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
Added "INI syntax" and rules and restructured a bit, moving the prefix explanation inside INI syntax under settings. The prefixes are vital to understanding INI settings! Tweaked "Recommended changes" layout to be easier to add new tweaks Added several vital tweaks to "Recommended changes" Removed untested tweaks from the "Recommended changes" section and placed them inside new "Other useful INI tweaks" section Added "Other useful INI tweaks" section Added lots of "new" and useful INI tweaks Added "Known harmful INI tweaks" section Added lots of harmful INI tweaks with bad values in red- 46 replies

Hmmm... that's an interesting setup. Adding the following to Skyrim.ini will cause Skyrim to always remain active, but that might not entirely fix that incompatibility: [General] bAlwaysActive=1- 46 replies

I recommend that everyone add the following tweak. You'll thank me the next time you open your ENB in-game settings. Or if you don't have any kind of double cursor fix (either ENB's solution or the Double Cursor Fix mod). Skyrim.ini [Controls] bBackgroundMouse=1 bBackgroundMouse toggles the ability of the mouse to move independently inside Skyrim (default where bBackgroundMouse is disabled) or dependent upon where the cursor actually is in the system (bBackgroundMouse is enabled). It is recommended to be enabled to prevent awkward mouse behavior during some actions.- 46 replies

If that's the case, why did we agree to put 8 there??? Minimum can't even be XP anymore with Mod Organizer.
-
I am talking about the difference between 18fps and 24fps playing Skyrim on my amd apu (modded). That is not placebo.
-
My results weren't placebo. I literally had just done a clean install of Windows for three weeks in preparation for a good test. I think you may not have had good drivers.

Sounds like a overly protective Antivirus.

Skyrim doesn't have a Test1 setting, so I'm not sure how you're reading that, unless this is an application of your own making. What I do know: comments don't work next to string settings. So, I just blanket recommend all comments be placed on their own line. There can't be any issue with that, and it is much cleaner.- 46 replies

sJustGoogledCamelCaseAndGotIt=true See here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Configuration_Settings#Value_rules Comments don't exist in the Skyrim INI files... there is no parser that removes things after the semicolon. They only exist because the following statement is true: Comments in INIs that are on the same line will cause Wrye Bash to throw errors at times, as well as Mod Organizer's Configurator.- 46 replies

I can't reconcile the contradiction of playing Skyrim and having limited time. How do you find time to play a game if you can't find time to mod it?

Wrong. You may not put a comment after a string setting, as it will be considered part of the string. This can be proven via the example I have provided. What is camel case?- 46 replies

SKSE launch problems when run through MO with NO mods
DoubleYou replied to Aerandor's question in Mod Organizer Support
Well, most of the settings you have in are invalid (i.e., they don't exist, or exist in other sections/INI files) and some of the settings simply don't do anything (were disabled by Bethesda). -
Please report on the bug tracker if that indeed is caused by that https://issue.tannin.eu/tbg/modorganizer/issues/open
-
That problem only occurs when users do not run the Skyrim Launcher as they are supposed to prior to launching Mod Organizer for the first time. Completely user error (albeit a common mistake despite our huge warning labels).

SKSE launch problems when run through MO with NO mods
DoubleYou replied to Aerandor's question in Mod Organizer Support
Hmmm... those are some messy INIs. Not sure if they would cause this problem, however. You said that Skyrim doesn't load the intro video though, but it should with those INIs -
FNIS, Step 2.2.9.1, and Windows 10 x64 - FINS won't run
DoubleYou replied to MarkInMKUK's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You don't, because this is like one of the most common mistakes with FNIS in MO, and believe me, everyone does it. -
I'd say that ENB users probably (It would need testing as I don't use one because my system is too weak) would be best off with the following: [Display] bDeferredShadows=1 bShadowMaskZPrepass=0 fInteriorShadowDistance=4000 fShadowBiasScale=0.4 ;Somewhere between 0.1 and 0.6 probably is best for fShadowBiasScale fShadowDistance=4000 ;May increase fShadowDistance to higher values iBlurDeferredShadowMask=1 ;Setting iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 0 will cause buggy ENB shadows. This may be increased at user discretion. iShadowFilter=3 iShadowMapResolution=1920 ;set iShadowMapResolution to your screen width Edit: Removed superfluous INI settings from the recommendations that do not do anything.
