Especially loving the bridge shadows! Some people are reporting floating lanterns in Rorikstead though.

Can you install https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/? and post here the contents of the output file after Skyrim hanged? You can find the file in MOoverwriteSKSEPlugins folder.

Released last week. Realistic Clouds I installed them and am now using them instead of Dramatic Clouds. In my opinion Realistic Clouds is superior with regards to sense of depth and with regards to creating the perception that clouds are high and far above you. They actually make me stare at the sky once in a while. Dramatic Clouds is to close to vanilla. Author's Comparison

That's because SRLE does not touch upon perks & spells (yet). You can add those if you like though, they work with the SIC edition.

HELLO?! Might help if you provide examples.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

No, you open each downloaded archive twice. Once to install the main part and then once again for the optional. -
Merge in MO just basically means: overwrite existing files + install any new files.

High Resolution Textures - FPS Hit?
Nearox replied to tehpandemic's question in General Skyrim LE Support
VRAM does not affect FPS a whole lot, unless you are near or over the max, in which case VRAM will be offloaded to RAM, which can cause stutter and FPS drop. What resolution do you play on? If it is 1080p, I wouldn't bother with 4k textures as it is barely noticeable. -
Premade Conflict Resolution Patch

You can also always just load up all *.esp in your list in tes5edit, then in the left pane select all the *.esp and right-click sort masters :) -
Load Order SRLE less ASIS
Nearox replied to Dragonhearted's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
It is possible that some old SKSE scripts were left. No need to check each mod individually I think. First verify you are using the new *.psc files that come with the latest SKSE. Not all *.esp files that have a message in the log are necessarily erroneous. Some mods check for other mods' *.esps in order to run some kind of compatibility script. It doesn't look like the other errors in your log are harmful. Not that I am a papyrus expert by the way, but I know about that much :P Just to ask again (since didn't get a 100% clear answer), you are starting a new game, right? Otherwise, please post system specs and your enblocal.ini settings under [MEMORY]. I assume you have the relevant SKSE.ini settings enabled. -
You can decrease the resolution of other textures (not mentioned in the guide) to 1k... 1k resolution should work with 1Gb VRAM, I think, though I am not entirely sure. Also you can install Gamwich's Bethesda Performance Textures mods like https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42360/? and there is a 2nd one as well. Both are pretty good and I actually use them (put them right after UHRP in MO) to have better quality textures than the STEp-DDSOpted stuff while still getting more performance.

Load Order SRLE less ASIS
Nearox replied to Dragonhearted's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Well your papyrus log says it is missing a number of esps, indicating that scripts from a previous savegame are running... -
You could check out my DDSopt recommendations for Better Males (based on the aforementioend forum thread) in this guide, the savings are pretty significant (100mb vram+ in towns & cities) and the quality loss is minimal, if non-existent. In the forum thread I wrote down some preliminary findings, the guide has my final optimizations (for 2GB VRAM though but at least it shows you what compression to use for which files, any files not mentioned should not be compressed as they result in errors). I think others also said in the forum thread that even reducing to .5k instead of .1k will probably go unnoticed in your game. With only 1GB VRAM, you shouldn't be running 2k compressed textures, let alone 2k UNcompressed textures (like Better Males has).

What is meant there is not to install the *.esp files (aka 'plugins'). -

Some things I noticed after a very quick look: - At first glance it looks like you are loading up a save game which used to have nernies cities but I do not see that esp in your current mod list. Are you not using a new game? - At second glance it seems that it is also searching for other esps from a previous savegame (RnD etc.). - ugrids = 7... can cause a whole range of issues. Go back to gurids=5, get everything stable, and only then try ugrids=7 Start a new game with ugrids=5 and see if the issues persist. -

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim

Good find! At first glance that mod looks definitely interesting enough to try. -
Some locations are much more performance intensive than others. There is not much you can do to improve your FPS there. Although if it occurs in grassy/forest areas, try setting iMinGrassSize=40 or iMinGrasSize=50 and see if it improves. You can always try out to limit FPS to just above the minimum FPS you noticed and see if your experience improves. Personally I prefer to have a FPS limit.

Well there really is no reason anymore to remove EBT. Once upon a time it was unstable, but the last updates plus the advent of the memory patch fix have made mods like that ( as well as BFS etc.) safe to use.

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
Nearox replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
It does not have ETaC South DB as a master... Least not on my PC :) You can pretty much count on it I guess, since CJ is involved in ETaC development/patching. Who knows they might even include some of REGS - Cities stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if CJ and Jenna do that for Whiterun, as CJ has already spent nuemrous hours on WHiterun :P Even if it wouldn't be made initially compatible with REGS, it would make quite a few mods obsolete that re-integrating the ETaC/IS merger would not be a big issue. In short, don't worry and you can continue to play with your current setup :) -
pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
Nearox replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Full REGS + SRLE = 207 ESPs (assumign you have updated both to their latest revisisons). -
Yes use either HLE or HLE-SIC Edityion. Strongly recommend the latter as it has a lot of improvements and can be configured ingame via SIC MCM menu. SRLE was just updated with HLE-SIC so you can grab some insights/instructions from there.
-
I think you can also disable EBT via the MCM menu, or at least delay the script update. EBT shouldn't give you any issues and it's performance impact is negligible. You can grab the 512kb or 1024kb optional files though to reduce the VRAM impact (ever so slightly but still).

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Nearox replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yep. During my last playthrough I've had a great time with kryp's stealth & smithing perk mods combined with egocarib's Enchanting Awakenend, then adding in SPERG, disabling the overlapping skill trees in MCM and then some of enaisaion's mods to top off magic, standing stones and shouts. That said the balance is difficult to find when combining mods. It helps a bit if you can adjust most NPC's difficulty ingame (as with deadly dragons, SIC and now HLE etc.) but perk (-tree) balance is hard to achieve. Neither SkyRe nor SPERG manages to do that either, by the way. Perks are quite a game changer though for many people, so it is understandable it is not included in SRLE (yet). Curious to test out some of the New Gameplay overhaul pack's combinations soon.
