Mod Suggestions for SR - Post in STEP Mods Forum
Lauren replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I'm using Maevan's mature skin for most of the female files. I didn't see a femalehead_msn, so using AIOF's. Also using the latter's femaleheadafflicted file (since it's only covered by vanilla otherwise, which sucks). Elf femalehead_msns are from EEO (and that's all I'm using from that, didn't realize how extensive of a mod it was so I Frankensteined it up). It looked good to my eyes when I created a female character last night, though the whole intro doesn't have the best lighting. So, for anyone like me that is uninterested/lazy as far as body replacers, this combo seems to work well with a vanilla base. -
Yeah, I don't know. I've got a .bsa now myself. ss below

I'm actually doing this right now pepper. I'll let you know in a couple minutes my results.

Mod Suggestions for SR - Post in STEP Mods Forum
Lauren replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I gotcha. Not really interested in body replacers beyond using nicer textures that don't sport the neck seam when paired with nicer faces (I do have Photoshop and I do know how to use it, but... work! heh), so I'll just throw the textures in and run around without clothes for a bit, see how it looks. I don't use armor mods for the most part either, thus the ignorance. Thank you for the info, I appreciate it. -

With all that in mind, what do you guys think would be the best mod order for face/body improvements? It's one of the sections of SR that I do not follow, as I didn't overly care about using a body replacer (i.e. UNP/CBBE). I do want it to look good so I'm fine with installing UNP if it's needed for these mods. My other question is: with something like UNP - when armor is equipped on someone, their body will revert to vanilla appearance, correct? (Unless it's one designed to work with those meshes, of course) I don't mind if that occurs, just not sure if that poses any issues. -

I did giggle when I read your first post, which is a tough thing to do after a long day at work ;-) -

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

SFO should already be optimized enough. -
Gack, all this time I've been fighting all sorts of issues with the game that require INI file edits and it wasn't even using the real INI file.... This needed to be in big red bold flashing letters. I knew it virtualized the data directory, but not the INI files.....This is mentioned in the main STEP guide in the first paragraph of the INI Tweaks section. Okay, I see it now, but it needs to be a called out notice. ### topic change ### Now, if I can just figure out how to change the INI file during gameplay... I'm trying to reduce uGridsToLoad, which is a real hassle. It is baked into the save file, and will CRASH TO DESKTOP if you reduce the value and then try to load a save with a higher value. But, apparently, you can change the value in the INI mid-game and reload the INI from within the console, then save with the new lowered uGridsToLoad value. But, I can't find where the virtual INI is read from so that I can change it mid-game... Suggestions? File path depends on where it's installed, but should be something like:[folder where you installed MO]\Mod Organizer\profiles\[Profile Name]\skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini

ACCEPTED Stealth Skills Rebalanced (by kryptopyr)
Lauren replied to kryptopyr's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I was looking at using SPERG, but I'll have to go through and compare everything... I want something that balances everything but I do like the direction of your full mod (not just the one module to patch with SPERG). Also: MY OTHER MODS Traps Make Noise Thieves Guild Requirements Better Stealth AI for Followers Thieves Guild Followers Nightingale Hall & Karliah as Follower Brynjolf & Vex As Followers Shadowmarks for Player Homes ...I award you all the internet cats. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Perk Enhancements & Rebalanced Gameplay - SPERG
Lauren replied to carlos3lance's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I look forward to your feedback carlos, indeed from the description it sounds pretty awesome, I have downloaded it myself. Not quite to the mod-installing part of the process, let alone playing, but it sounds promising from your post! -
Looked a little off to me when I was doing my benchmarks... sigh. So I guess I should remove the note for 4x AA in the spreadsheet. Maybe I'll enable it in the game engine as I haven't installed an ENB yet. Y U NO ANTI MY ALIASING NVIDIA

I can totally understand wanting improved/more realistic/etc. body meshes or textures, but some of the stuff I've seen... my brain...:o_O: I've compared the number of male-editing mods to female-editing ones and well, you can of course guess which one has exponentially more entries on Nexus. I had nude mods for Dragon Age because it was absolutely ridiculous to have granny panties on during sex scenes, in an M-rated game no less. Skyrim doesn't really have any action going on though (but I think there are likely mods for that somewhere...), so to me it just seems pointless.

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Lauren replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Looking forward to putting together a STEP/Revisited setup whenever I actually get a chance to in the near future*. I started an Excel with the mod lists from both and used some conditional formatting to see the differences. The total # of mods differ by about 50, so I'm thinking I am going to re-up my Nexus premium ;) *(mostly not looking forward to going back and getting all the IDs to enter in MO... #pastfail) -
Yes, hurray!

GTX 580 1.5GB Vram issue (stuttering) - [SOLVED]
Lauren replied to redbananaz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Are you running anything that would prevent also running Fraps/Afterburner/etc.? This way you can actually see what your VRAM usage is and narrow it down to that or start looking at other settings (although I'd probably also look at those anyway... i.e. ini tweaks, [skyrim] graphics settings, NVIDIA settings, ENB settings). -

RCI only overlaps with Burial urn retextures. It does not contain the ruinsurn01.dds of Ruins Urn Retex or ruinschair01, ruinslongtable, or ruinstable01 of Nordic ruins objects. Burial urn retex L vs. RCI R: (also here https://i.imgur.com/olkfY.jpg)

1.6 patch to include Mounted Combat!
Lauren replied to Thechosenone's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
^^Been waiting for a chance to use that guy! -
How do you go about editing the textures? If for some reason we're unable to get an 'official edit' of sorts, well regardless of that actually, I wouldn't mind doing it for myself. Learning experience and all that ;)

So in addition to overwriting textures/landscape/snow01 and _n and landscape/roads/road01snow01 and _n, RCRN 3.0 also overwrites the following: landscape/dirtsnowpath01 landscape/grasssnow01 landscape/snow02 and _n landscape/trees/treepineforestbranchcompsnow Will have to take a look into that.

Not sure if this is the right place or if it's been brought to your attention already, but the emails I'm getting from the forums have links without the domain/subdomain info in them, i.e. /member.php?action=activate (just by itself) I can figure out where to copy paste stuff like that, but if it's not just my Gmail being funky, might want to look into it :)
