CTD When Applying "The Wasteland Patch Collection"

Hey everyone,

 

I'm at the part of the guide where I've installed all of the mods (except for some optional ones) and I'm installing patches now. I do have a problem with "The Wasteland Patch Collection". After I install those, I get a CTD when I launch the game. Without "The Wasteland Patch Collection" installed I do not get a ctd on startup. According to MO there are no missing .esm/.esp and FO3Edit loads fine aswell. I do have quite alot of conflicts according to FO3Edit, but when I remove "The Wasteland Patch Collection" I still have those conflicts, but I won't CTD on launch. 

 

I have absolutely no idea what is causing these CTDs and I hope any of you have an idea what is.

I'm not sure what is happening. I have more of the TWPC plugins than you, but not the exact same ones as you, and I load the game without any problems. Have you tried merging the TWPC plugins to see if there is a plugin count issue? Did you use LOOT to set load order (except for the TWPC plugins which load last)?

The reason you have more TWPC plugins than me is probably because I don't use all the optional mods.

 

I used LOOT to set the load order and I even merged TWPC plugins into one file without any problems. I tried to run it with the merged plugin, but I still CTD on launch. I really have no idea what's going on, because everything should run fine. But unfortunately it doesn't.

Okay, something weird just happened. I deactivated all the TWPC plugins, set load order with LOOT. When I try to launch, I CTD. Which is weird, because everything worked fine before I even tried installing TWPC patches. Now my whole setup CTDs with or without TWPC plugins. It seems that TWPC messes everything up.

If you have deactivated the plugins with MO I don't see how they could affect anything, unless they had changed the load order in LOOT and the problem was actually a another plugin. FO3Edit usually catches these. CTDs at startup indicate either a missing file or a corrupted file.

The weird thing is that everything runs fine before I apply TWPC. TWPC causes a CTD at launch. When I deactivate TWPC, run LOOT and launch without TWPC it CTDs. But before everything ran fine, which is weird, because it shouldn't. FO3Edit didn't detect any missing esm/esp, so it should be running fine. At this point I might just delete everything and do a clean install of both FO3, MO and everything related to that, and hope that when I install all the mods again it will run fine. I will report back when I have done that.
