Dreadflopps Modular patches

Yeah it was New Gameplay Overhaul until it had a name and that was the thread name until a couple months ago so now it's Modular Morrowloot Overhaul

It has always been a gameplay overhaul. The most incompatible mod in the pack is morrowloot, which sets the tone for the pack with deleveled loot. The main inspiration at the beginning was requiem but we wanted something more compatible with other mods we wanted, like different skill mods. Since me and Nicopad had different views on which skill mods to use we decided to keep it modular. The name modular morrowloot overhaul comes from this. To be honest, I do not like the name but it is not that important. The important thing is the content. I do this pack mainly for myself. Without proper documentation (this pack) I would forget what I have installed and why and what goes where etc. By keeping it public I get very good feedback on what is good and what is bad as well as on bugs. Without feedback the pack would never have gotten this good, which I think it is. By keeping it public others can enjoy this which is great and awesome. But the pack would be here even if no one used it.

Back to the name. I have thinking of changing it but I don't know if its necessary and it might just confuse people.

I have been using Imperious ans Aurora over the last 2 months. I am now level 30. I really like them a lot. I think Disparity will have more effect to gameplay & leveling. Gopher's mod, Pumping iron may be interesting to use with Disparity.

Have you tried pumping iron with a female character? From what I read it works better with male characters.

Pumping iron is silly for female characters: the weight slider in the vanilla body (and, frankly, every female body replacer except for CNHF) mostly affects chest size. I use Bodyslide to fix that issue in my game, personally.

Nope. I only play male character. This is actually my first ever Skyrim play-through. I am having a lot of fun. My current setup is SRLE+REGS+MMO. I don't even know what pure vanilla looks like. Edited by darkside

I'm skipping pumping iron for this pack. Someone should make a pack with custom bodies and physics extensions that doesn't focus on breasts. Pumping iron would fit in such a pack.

I suppose I could consider it. I'd want to work on my preset some more. The fundamental problem as I see it is incomplete Bodyslide support. I'm not aware of any Nexus packs for bodyslide outfit support that:

  • provides complete outfit coverage across DLCs
  • isn't skimpy
  • has no mesh issues

I could try to cobble together a pack though, if there's much interest. There are a few bodyslide outfit packs on the Nexus that claim complete vanilla bodyslide support, yet have a number of small mesh issues if you delve into the comments sections. I'm not sure of target audience, though: it'd be NSFW and not part of STEP, and would differ from SRLE recommendations. I'd definitely want to improve my bodyslide preset, as well. I'm not exactly an expert on the subject, either. I'm sure there are better "muscular female" presets than what I've cobbled together, and I'm sure there's better Bodyslide armor/clothing coverage than I know of. CNHF has been pretty much abandoned: the author's blogs are down, armor/clothing coverage is incomplete, it's even less compatible with non-adapted armor and clothing than CBBE is, and even DorkDiva seems to have abandoned the mod. So as I see it, CBBE would be the best choice going forward. (For a "Pumping Iron" body pack, not for STEP).

Body physics don't bother me, impractical female armor does.

I suppose you could PM me if you want to avoid further sidetracking the Modular Morrowloot Overhaul thread.

In a post related to the Modular Morrowloot Overhaul, I think Toxicity might be a good choice. I have a load order rather analogous to a stripped down MMO installation: I try to avoid keeping too many mods kicking around in my installation. I've only just started using Toxicity, but my first reaction is quite positive: potions need some rebalancing, which MMO doesn't presently address. I avoid most potion mods because of incompatibilities with TTRSO, but Toxicity avoids compatibility problems entirely by discouraging potion spam in a different fashion. I particularly appreciate how it subtly buffs Redguards and Bosmer by making Resist Poison more worthwhile. The two biggest things I was exploiting in my gameplay (outside of smithing/enchanting, of course) were backpeddling in combat (which I solved with this mod), and spamming potions.

I don't mind some sidetracking on the thread. I think you should go for making a pack. I think there are interest in such a pack. Start a thread with some ideas to get feedback. I am very interested in this since I don't have enough knowledge about body mods myself. "Compatibility" with STEP and SR:LE is easy since it would overwrite textures from those with your vision. As for NSFW, better males is included in STEPS with a NSFW warning. Most NSFW mods have SFW options.

Read about Toxicity on another page (pumping iron maybe?). Sounds very interesting. Going to install it and try. Sounds like it fits great into this pack. Backup movement speed reduction sounds interesting to. I am one of those that needs to eliminate all exploits cause I can't avoid using them

Immersive Potions also does a fairly good job at balancing potion abuse, and works alongside Toxicity. It has a pretty dramatic effect on potion usage. I had to resolve conflicts between it and both TTRSO and the UKSP, however.

I also just posted a thread to discuss/preview the body pack.

Immersive potions have been recommended before. I'll make sure to check it out this time.

I installed Step 2.2.9 + REGS + MMO and SPERG. It's looking really good so far. I'm working on trying out some things and finalizing my mod list before I get into a new game.

I have a question regarding smithing. I haven't installed the smithing perks overhaul (although maybe I should). I've noticed that at level 1, I have access to a long list of steel smithing recipes. Is this expected, or is it a sign that I've got something installed incorrectly or in the wrong order?

If I do install the smithing perks overhaul, then I need to disable SPERG smithing in the MCM, right?

I have setup very similar to your recomendation. I am using TTRSO. I tried to enchant Necklace and Ring, but cannot add Fortify Alchemy on them. We suppose to be able to do that. Do you know which mods I may need to look at for conflict? Thanks again.

Iron and steel and steel smithing are automatic perks from SPERG. Disable smithing in MCM if you want to install smithing perks overhaul.

I'll check if enchanting works as it should for me. Off to work soon though, will try this later today hopefully. You could check if it works without TTRSO in the meantime though. If it does, try with TTRSO again but move it later in the load order. I'm not sure about the enchanting mechanics, but it could be dependent on keywords. If so, keywords could be missing from the items you try to enchant. You could use the console to get the FormIds of the items and check in Tes5Edit if any vanilla keywords are missing.
