Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

Recommended Posts

Well, I figured out that the u.115 links are the links to the download. But I cannot figure out where to go after that.

That is my problem. I can't find the actual download. There is a link for one of the mods to a Russian site modgames.net. It looks promising for some good stuff. There are few sites out there that have lots of assets from other games, that Nexus doesn't have. Now I just need to learn about 5 languages to get them all.

Yes. A LOT of them are ads; so be very careful where you click. I will take a look at this again when I get a chance.

Update: I found a tutorial

Alright! After about an hour of messing around I successfully downloaded some mods from that site.

  • Go to 115.com
  • Do NOT change the language to English
  • You will see a big blue box
  • Under it there will be a bunch of words you don't understand that end in a ? followed by a link
  • Click on said link
  • You will have to sign up using your phone in order to download things
  • It is safe, I did some research and everything seems to be OK
  • The first box asks you what country you are in. If you are in the US click on the drop down box and select the 5th one
  • The second box asks you for your phone number (no dashes or spaces)
  • The third box is for your password 6-20 characters; case sensitive
  • The fourth box is for your verification code; if you entered the previous three boxes there should be something that pops up next to the 4th box. Hit this button and it will send you the verification code.
  • Enter the code in the 4th box and check the small box at the bottom to agree to their terms
  • Hit the large green box to sign up
  • I highly recommend you use Google Translate for this area, it will make things a lot easier
  • Next it will take you to the next part with a bunch of stuff. Just click the small button at the bottom right to skip
  • You should be signed up after this. I don't quite remember what is in the third page but it should be easy to figure out :7
  • Go to that website linked in the previous page and find a u.115 link
  • It will take you to this confusing page
  • IGNORE everything and click on the yellow button with a cloud
  • Hit the blue box in the bottom right
  • Hit the next blue box
  • You will be taken to your cloud where your downloads are
  • You will see your profile in the upper right with a bunch of numbers, WRITE THOSE DOWN
  • those numbers are your username
  • You can highlight over the .rar and click the down facing arrow to download
  • hit the GREEN box
  • You are good to go :D

This is pretty unrelated to the discussion about that website, but it might be a good idea to take a look at this, or at least speak to the guy who's making it. I think it's probably simpler than having people merge all the Uncut stuff themselves, and it includes extra stuff and fixes.

There's this too, for any of the mods not included in that merged thing.

If anything, the topic about that website is unrelated to the forum itself :p

Hello, new here and I understand if I should not post here. Love the guide. I will be using it once I finish building my new computer.

I read through a lot of the comments and understand why you are hesitent on AWOP so I have a different suggestion perhaps?

Have you ever tried out the Factions Reloaded by TheScout201?

Factions Reloaded - Raiders, Factions Reloaded - Legion, and Factions Reloaded - Followers of the Apocalypse. They are voiced and lip-synced. Gopher at one point brought them up early in his Playthrough but never followed through with adding them (which I believe was a big mistake since they add so much to the desert).

There is also Mojave Reloaded by TheScout201 as well which adds new locations, people, and adds some changes to the gameplay.

I'm not hesitant about adding it, but I don't really want to add it. I'm designing the guide in a way that you will have extra ESP slots to add some of your own favorite mods. With a 140 limit that really hinders what I do though. There is a thread in the F&L forum about AWOP integration. It seems to integrate pretty well with minimal changes to the mod list.

Factions Reloaded is another mod I didn't really want to integrate and leave that up to the users if they want to go that route.

I've finally got some time to do some stuff. I was thinking that since people use the merging sections that I would add a small section that listed a bunch of guns and then put merging directions to it. I'll start with the extra Millenia guns and then add on to it. If people have their own list of additional weapons I could make page to it and link it up. Making merge directions is basically a copy paste job and change the plugin names. I think it would be cool for their to a list of different peoples stuff that gets listed and regular users could just pick one or two and have fun. They could also learn how to create their own from something like that. Armor could probably be done as well.

Dragonskin Tactical Outfit is awesome and I like having it in my game. I haven't had issue with it and didn't even get any of the gear until I did a major quest. Or you can buy the stuff, but it isn't cheap, like 10000+ caps for a whole set. That is something that is out of reach for at least ten levels unless you dump points into Luck and run straight to the casinos. I do that sometimes for testing purposes, but I wouldn't do it in a regular playthrough. Hopefully, a worn version shows up pretty soon, so it fits in a bit more. The winter version is out of place, but the urban version looks pretty good even as new as it is.

Holster Gear isn't bad either, but I just wanted a holster for my pistols. Check it out if you are wearing regular clothes, like something from SPice of Life, but in full armor it doesn't really work. Maybe I'll just go with the regular holster mod, so that mod is not in.

I have two other crossbow mods that I had forgot about for a couple months and just never used them in this playthrough. I'll have to rectify that, maybe tomorrow.

I think the proposed solution for IHWT and WMX compatibility is good enough for me. Install WMX, install IHWT into the WMX folder, install the IHWT/WMX bat file in the WMX folder, run the bat file. Audley figured that one out for me, and it works good enough that I don't think anyone will have a big issue with it. Plus, IHWT looks awesome.

Animated Sweat Effect might not end up in FCO, so I will be adding it. If Drumber changes his mind, then I'll remove it. Also, I fixed the FCO instructions, no one said anything about the proposed solution, so I'll just put it in there and see what happens.

The last mod is Deimos, which I'll start with some crossbows to see how it goes.

That is about it for testing this playthrough and then I can move onto my next playthrough. I'll list the mods in testing when I finalize everything, but there's going to be an emphasis on hardcore needs and power armor. I want to get the guide to about 130 plugins and leave the last ten for everyone to add their own favorites that I don't have. This will probably require some more merging or maybe to drop a mod or two.

Hmm... well, cancel that IHWT/WMX thing, I found an error in the method. The batch file needs the DATA folder.

Hmm I thought I mentioned that you needed to create a fake data folder, then move everything out once it was done. Perhaps I forgot. : Anyway, ya in the .bat the directory route is predetermined so the data folder is necessary. My bad.

Hey EssArrBee. :)Migrated here from our posts on the NVAC mod page.  So glad I found this guide!I'm up to the part of installing ILO, and I followed your manual steps for dragging what you said, into the core part, then moved the 2 esps ( MO's left pane ) you mention into the optional ESP's box.  Upon "checking" the ILO mod in the left pane, I end up with 3 active esp's in the right pane. The bottom one has a red triangle to the right of it, and upon mousing the esp, it details, "Missing NVInteriors-Combo.esm and NVInteriors-Core.esm.I realized, after looking at your install page and my load list, that this is due to NVInteriors not being installed yet. However, you might make a small note of that, in the ILO install instructions, so people who may be newer users to MO or just modding in general don't PANIC.Thanks to all, who have been contributing to this, as it makes things for a first time FNV install a LOT less painful. :)

Thanks EssArrBee! :)Installing Willow now and 1.7 seems to be MIA, as a complete mod, just a .bsa and also a sound file, no esp file. 1.8 must be a new update?  Anyhow, installing 1.8 and moving onwards.

I don't always add in the new version of every mod. I'll add an explicit note if you should not use the new version. I'll bump up the Willow version today though.
