No, I don't see any files called fomodinstall anywhere. Still thanks for the help guys.

When you uninstall FOMM you may have to do a bit of 'house-cleaning' to get past this error.

Apart from the installation folder that the FOMM exe resides in, there is also the two folders that store you mod installations but, more importantly, there is a config file stored inside your C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\FOMM\ path.

On my system there is a folder called "fomm.exe_Url_tuoda5d5ilitfciodx1ffkav12tg1j0f\0.14.11.9\" which has the user.xml config file. Obviously for you that fomm.* folder will named slightly different.

After uninstalling the program with Control Panel you should be able to safely remove any/all of these folders if they still exist.

Try that and if it still persists then you may need to remove any orphaned registry settings as well.

Actually now that I did that when I reinstall I get the option to select where to install the mods and install info. The default is C:\Games\FalloutNV\mods and C:\Games\FalloutNV\Install Info respectively, I think it conflicts with NMM. Although honestly I don't know why I still have it, sentimentality I suppose since MO is alot better. So uninstall NMM to let FOMM- Fork have the folders all to itself?

Edit: Well, for F:NV and Skyrim anyway. Don't think MO has support for DA:O, DA2, and the Witcher series...do they?

@Crimson13

Yeah pick one, NMM or MO, and nuke the other. (Preferably NMM)

Or if you need to use it, NMM, for games other than TES4 & 5 or Fallout[3/NV] then make sure there are no conflicting config files or folders that are used by more than one tool.

After  switching between  the two multiple times i think i prefer FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting over Nevada skies (love those clear blue skies in the former ) Luckily  replacing NS with it is easy as pie .

Put it in the same  place as nevada skies .

Go to interior lighting overhaul and place the Nevada skies patch to the optional  section .

I'm curious, are neck seams impossible to get rid of? I'm using NVR3 in addition to Roberts and Type 3, and the seams are pretty distracting.

I've set the "bloadfacegenheadegtfiles" parameter to 1 in the INI files (both the ones in my MO profile folder and the ones in the documents folder and automatic archive invalidation is enabled, but I'm still getting these skin mismatches. Here's my mod list and load order:

Get the neck chain concealer mod I added to the guide. It isn't prefect but you can't see the seems.

It's not on the page. Have you just added it?

Also, would I have to start a new game for the distributed version to take effect?

Damn, I honestly thought I added that mod to the guide. I must be going crazy.

It's called Distributed Necklaces and Chains Neck Seam Concealer.

And yes, neck seams are very difficult to completely remove. You can get close but never perfect. And yes, use that necklace mod. It's reasonably good at hiding them. I usually put them in after I install Spice of Life.

Yeah, just installed the mod now, does a very good job with hiding the pretty **** job that was done with the models. Hard to believe it took until Skyrim for Bethesda to  make neck seams not stick out like a sore thumb on their engine (and also add diagonal movement animations lol).

I added the Necklace mod. I thought I had added it like a month ago, so I'm clearly loosing my mind. Also, finished my settings for MCM at the end of the guide. Use the Steam browser or something to make those adjustments if you want to use them. Anyone can also make their own MCM settings page and I'll link it. Mine is setup for people that plan to do power armor or ranger armor playthroughs since they have badass helmets that would probably have some kind of HUD.

Any progress on  the zooming issue ?

Not yet. I'm trying to get through Beyond Boulder Dome ASAP, but I limited time to play DLC sized mods. I'll get to it soon enough though.

If you have powered power armor installed it will disable the zoom. There is the PAconfig in the apparel menu that you can configure view settings. The first item, "Allow Scopeless Zoom without PAHelmet" must be enabled.

If you equip the binocular that is grayed out it simulates the right click zoom. You may need to equip a regular binocular first and use it and then equip the grayed one to get it to work.
