frihyland Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Vibrancy an ENB Series adaptation A gorgeous combination of enb, rlwc, clo , and smaa. I turn off SAOO and DOF and only lose 4fps when toggling on and off. Several versions to choose from depending on personal preference, then customize from there. I recommend this one most highly for the post-processing pack.
Staind716 Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Wow. Thank you so much. I have been using STEP since day one and came on to see what new mods people were recommending. I had no idea ours would be one of them. That is so very cool. KyokushinOyama is the main man behind this (I'm Staind716 on Nexus) and has come up with some really cool effects. Have you tried the new Vibrancy 3.0 Reloaded? Kyo managed a "real life" bokeh that gives an awesome 3D effect in game with none of the "christmas lights" that you normally see in the background on dof. Adds a lot to the immersion. If you haven't tried it yet you should give it a shot. Easily my favorite version so far. Thanks again for recommending us and we are really glad that you enjoy it. :)
stoppingby4now Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Well, this sounds promising. Definitely going to check it out myself.
z929669 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Me too by proxy (I am counting on you guys to be the experts on PP... way too much candy for me to play with right now).
frihyland Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 I just retested my fps and I'm actually getting a 4fps gain with all ultra+ (with STEP edits) settings running vanilla skyrim (no mods or dlc) and full vibrancy enb without ssao or dof :P, I've confirmed for myself a few dozen times now. Need some more peeps to check this out and make sure I haven't gone off the deep end.
Bealdwine Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Now much as I am loathe to mess with my setup right now as I'm 'almost' actually playing the game this news is too great a hook for me not to try it out :D Having said that I'm already using RLwC and SMAA with no AA and only 2x Sparse Grid and 8x AF (no ENB post processing) so actual FPS gains seem pretty unlikely, however if I get qualitative improvements with minimal performance loss on what I have now I'll be delighted! :)
Vond Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 It's a nice preset, but I personally find the decision to make interiors/nights so damn bright sad as that's a 100% no-go for me. It's ofcourse customizable just like any other ENB though so nothing I can't sort myself with some work. :)
Bealdwine Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 @Vond When you say interiors do you mean dungeons or housing interiors? I don't mind the latter being brighter but dungeons and nights should be torch-use dark. When you find the settings to correct this please pass on the information :) Would you expect that to be a RLwC function or within the ENB ini?
Vond Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Most of it should be fixable via the RLwC ini, I haven't really looked at it myself though as I only download other presets to get inspiration for my own, and I have interiors/dungeons/nighttime all done there anyway. :) One tip could be to have a look at the ini from redguard216's RLwC preset and mimic nighttime/interior/dungeons from there

What I would recommend for your settings is to disable all AA in your launcher and gpu settings and set AF to 16 in your gpu. AF is not very fps intensive and you don't need any other type of AA at all with SMAA. If you use any other AA with it then it won't work as it should. :)[hr']It's a nice preset' date=' but I personally find the decision to make interiors/nights so damn bright sad as that's a 100% no-go for me. It is set up to be darker than the older versions. For now you can just tweak them in RLWC settings to your taste. We decided to go darker since this ain't GTA4!! ;) We also have a new standalone version without CLO and RLWC in the works and almost ready for release also. This one is Pure Vibrancy. Here's a pic of it in action. I think it came out really well for a standalone version. ;) https://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/559816846011271049/5ACED13EE9A2EA62FC845BEF27B424A7A166497F/
z929669 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I like that a lot for still shots. Just wonder how it looks in motion.
Staind716 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I like that a lot for still shots. Just wonder how it looks in motion. It actually looks really good in motion. I personally prefer the core versions with CLO and RLWC but this one came out really well for a standalone. Also with the Pure version you can use some mods that don't work as well with the core version such as Removed Ambient Fog, Revamped Exterior Fog, Dark dungeons for ENB, and a lot more. I only use these with the Pure version and not the core Vibrancy versions. When it's released I will post a link since this may be uploaded separately from our other ENB since it has different mods that we will recommend people use and we don't want it to get too confusing for people that are new to ENB or modding in general. As soon as it's done I will let you know. I'll also let you know when the Vibrancy 4.0 is released.
Vond Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Dark dungeons for ENB and revamped exterior fog can both be made to work with RLwC quite easily by changing their loadorder. I've considered adding this to the BOSS masterlist as it's very easy to do, but for now people can just move them manually or add an override to the userlist.txt. :)
Staind716 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Hi Vond! Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like they couldn't be used with the core, just that the core is made without those in mind so it kind of changes the feel of the ENB for me. But I guess that's all part of customizing your game to your own taste too. Just a suggestion, but you may want to add those just because a lot of people seem to have trouble ordering their mods from a lot of the comments I've seen. I guess if you are new to modding it can be a little difficult to figure out at first. Of course, there is also a lot to be said for trial and error too. I learn a lot more from my mistakes than I do from the successes. :)
AngryEeyore Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Is there a good setting for AMD users for the Kage ENB yet? I absolutely love the way this looks but apparently the new Kage has a terrible performance impact for AMD users.
