torminater Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Discussion thread: HD Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit for Hearthfire by skyrimaguas Wiki Link Quote High definition texture and mesh replacers for the Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit resources added by the Hearthfire DLC which until now has very few replacers available (none for the clay deposit yet). These are hand-made, high-quality textures done from scratch. Meshes are also modified to reduce the stretching (obvious in vanilla) and to enable Parallax effect. FEATURES: - Realistic High Defintion 2k Textures for Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit (Also available in 1K version for performance) - Enhanced Normal Maps for realism - Enhanced meshes to minimize stretching and seams - Parallax-enabled for enhanced 3D look (works best with ENB but not required) - Removed the annoying "plastic" shine on clay deposit *** Default version of HD Stone Quarry is designed for use with "Superior Rock Textures- Dark grey" ***Optional variants of HD Stone Quarry are available for Vanilla and Superior Rock Textures - light grey Requirements: Hearthfire DLC Superior Rock Textures (optional but highly recommended) skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38479 I like it, anybody else? Accepted for STEP Core 2.10, section Landscape. 2/2/16 - SRB
Neovalen Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I like it thus far, haven't seen a stone quarry yet but the clay is a very nice improvement.
torminater Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 South of riverwood near where you can construct your lakeview manor.
mothergoose729 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Up, whatever happened to this? Looks pretty awesome.
DoubleYou Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I've used it, but it caused seems around Ivarstead for me, so I disabled it for now. Forget what texture pack I was using then. It is an improvement, but texture seams is one thing that bug me more than low resolution textures.
Neovalen Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Unfortunately if your talking about the clay deposits then there are texture seams even in vanilla.
DoubleYou Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Unfortunately if your talking about the clay deposits then there are texture seams even in vanilla.Well, if that's the case, I might just return to this mod. If they are going to have seams, they might as well look pretty!
Tobi Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I feel really bad for necroing all these threads. I just have a lot of free time, I'm sorry. Anyways, this mod looks great, a lot better than vanilla, perfect for STEP.
phazer11 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Could have sworn this had been tested but I do not see anything to suggest that it was done.Marked for Testing.
Shadriss Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Funny how so many things end up falling through the cracks somehow - I've had this in for a long time... somehow thought it was already in. *shrug*
Greg Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 A couple of in-game comparisons -- Vanilla on the left, HD Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit on the right. EDIT: Corrected so the vanilla clay deposit is on the left.
GrantSP Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 There's a marked improvement with those new textures.
Kelmych Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 This has been part of SR:LE for a long time. I've been using it and it does seem better than the vanilla textures.
Tobi Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 A couple of in-game comparisons -- Vanilla on the left, HD Stone Quarry and Clay Deposit on the right.Just a note, for the clay deposit, vanilla is on the right, at least for me.
Greg Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Ooops... thank you for the heads up. I just corrected the clay deposit.
