I added the "has distant lod" flag to see if it would make a difference but it has not. The TreeAspen04 full model is a small branch/bush and not really a tree. Like all the other bushes and shrubs it is simply to insignificant (its volume too small) to have tree LOD billboards generated by default. Read ..\DynDOLOD\docs\help\TexGenConfiguration.html Do not add random flags to base record unless you understand what they do. DynDOLOD will set the correct flags if they are required. From ..\DynDOLOD\docs\help\TexGen.html, the help file that opens when clicking the Help button of the TexGen interface. "Once the Start button is clicked, the current settings are saved preset to ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Presets\DynDOLOD_[GAMEMODE]_TexGen_Default.ini for the next time TexGen is started." I get no performance impact at 21. 3a. Looks like there might be wrong rendered mountain LOD textures installed from a mod. I use Majestic Mountains, and the only mod that's overwriting it is No sunlight through mountains (meshes only) and Texgen. Unless a esp is redirecting mountain lods. Or the LOD resources under majestic mountains is outdated ( I do have for dyndolod 3.0 version installed and enabled) 3b. It could also be a problem with one of the snow LOD shaders being modified by a plugin. It looks like the snow of MM was being overwritten by another mod. This also made the snow patterning on mountains a lot better. Thanks Sheson! I looked at that post earlier but didn't go into SSE edit and search for the files, I simply made sure no files texture files were being overwritten in a conflict in MO2. The options checkbox form Generate Object LOD, Tree LOD, and Ultra are all greyed out. I read through the manual and nothing mention this. I use Majestic Mountains, and the only mod that's overwriting it is No sunlight through mountains (meshes only) and Texgen. Unless a esp is redirecting mountain lods. Or the LOD resources under majestic mountains is outdated ( I do have for dyndolod 3.0 version installed and enabled) 3b. It could also be a problem with one of the snow LOD shaders being modified by a plugin. It looks like the snow of MM was being overwritten by another mod. This also made the snow patterning on mountains a lot better. Thanks Sheson! I looked at that post earlier but didn't go into SSE edit and search for the files, I simply made sure no files texture files were being overwritten in a conflict in MO2. I suggest to not use random 5 year old posts for modding "advice"and instead follow a modding guide and to use a tool like BethINI. Showing full models in over 400 cells impacts performance, the visual issues and bugs with texture z-fighting and the no decal fading notwithstanding. Unpack the DynDOLOD Standalone archive into a new empty 'DynDOLOD' directory that is outside of special OS folders like 'Programs Files' or 'Program Files (x86)', User, Documents, Desktop, Download and also not in SteamApps, game or any mod manager folders. For the DynDOLOD 3 Alpha test it is suggested to not install any 3rd party tree LOD billboards and instead use TexGen to generate all the desired billboards. I'm guessing simply deactivating Open Cities Skyrim.esp with a mod manager isn't enough on ver 3.0 I was going insane trying to figure out what the problem was, went through the entire 112 pages of this thread and 2 hours of fruitless Googling to find anything related to this. Deleting the esp solves the issue, did the first pass, restored it and did a second pass.
