From the log:
[LOD4] Build meshes: Quality: 0, Max Vertices: 32767, Optimize Unseen: 500, Protect Borders: True, Hide Quads: False

From the first post:
Set Optimize Unseen to off for LOD4 for first generation.

From Terrain-LOD-Readme.txt:
Optimize Unseen: on = merge large chunks of triangles under water resulting in less vertices. x = merge triangles and move shallow vertices under water to at least this distance below the water surface.

https://dyndolod.info/Help/xLODGen#Generating-Terrain-LOD-Meshes
Typically use a Quality of 0 to 5 for LOD4 and make sure to check Protect Borders. Typically leave Optimize Unseen set to off.
There is no need to use -1 for the game. Visually it is the same as 0, an exact match to the full terrain meshes of the active cells

The Optimize Unseen setting is for LOD level 32 / map to improve coast lines as part of the mandatory mesh simplification process for the higher LOD levels.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll try running it again later.

Hi; haven't generated xLODGen or DynDOLOD in a while.

I recently generated xLODGen for SSE following the setting suggestions of the FOLIP mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/79197), including setting to LOD32.

After deploying generated files to my SSE\Data folder with Vortex, in game, the map doesn't show any of the generated terrain.

I modified my Skyrim.ini config file to include the setting "[MapMenu]uLockedObjectMapLOD=32"; Still no generated terrain displayed.

My xLODGen log: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1q5wWMScBNmji6Zrsl78oARd2leGKJ9ft?usp=sharing

Any help?

Provide a screenshot of the problem.
According to the log xLODGen generated terrain LOD level 32 meshes for no season and the 4 seasons.
If no terrain LOD is showing, it might be a problem of the output not being installed or of INI settings or DLL plugins like po3_SeasonsOfSkyrim.dll.

The uLockedObjectMapLOD setting controls which object LOD level is shown on the map.

I don't even know where I went wrong; I somehow broke my world map (A quality world map). In some places, water is missing, and in others, there is water that shouldn't be there.  I tried using the settings found in the first-time users area.  I also tried loading the world map at the bottom of my load order. I tried generating SSELOD, TexGen, and Dyndolod while the maps were not installed.  Ive tried turning off the maps and all the output folder mods for the LODs, but it still happens. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Ive done a clean install twice in the last 24 hours.

Read the first post which SSELODGen_log.txt to upload when making a post.

Consider posting a screenshot of the map to show the issue with terrain LOD generated by xLODGen. It generates terrain LOD including water LOD based on the current load order with the chosen quality settings.

See https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Maps-And-Map-Mods

Whatever mod that is the last to contain the files used by the game for the map is the problematic one. So if a map mod is the last to overwrite those files, then it is the one causing the problem.

Hello, I have a question about Xlodgen.

image.thumb.png.8e331f1420db7c81809c6065566b46e8.png

If it looks like this when you use TFC and get close, does that mean that the lodgen was not created properly?

image.thumb.gif.3134c363db931e9e0938a903f6bc6b42.gif

This phenomenon is happening here and there. Is the creation of lodgen wrong?

No to both questions.

I see. Thank you for your reply.

I'm currently investigating this phenomenon. This screenshot was taken close to the tfc.

While playing the game, the LOD flickers like this in several places. I wondered if I ran xlodgen incorrectly, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Thank you for your reply. I will continue to investigate the cause of the problem.

No information like logs, settings, steps to reproduce etc. was provided.

Are you saying this happens while not using tfc?

now im having an issue with terrain, it is not swapping for seasons, mountains are swapping fine, but not the ground, i did run xlodgen twice, once without the seasons option checked, and once with the seasons option checked, i have all 5 grass cache outputs, and disabled default after running dyndolod, dyndolod season swap inis are being read by seasons of skyrim, i confirmed that there is a seasonal variant in every output, im not sure wwhat im supposed to be uploading, but here are some logs:

(the distant objects that are covered in snow in summer become green when i get closer)

(renaming the seasons inis to being with zz was just a test to exclude load order issues)

should i send this here or start a new post?

Moved to the xLODGen terrain LOD beta thread. The mega link is incomplete.

The Seasons of Skyrim SKSE DLL and its INI configuration is responsible for switching assets in the game.

can you please explain what you mean by incomplete?

can you also explain what the "snow" checkbox in dyndolod does?

regrarding the seasons of skyrim switching assets, it has been working perfectly fine up until this point, are you saying it has a bug with swapping terrain specifically ?

The link is missing the encryption key.

You reported that you successfully generated terrain LOD files for seasons. If you installed them correctly, it is up to the DLL of The Seasons of Skyrim SKSE DLL to take care of them showing in the game. I did not say anything about a bug, just that it seems you have a problem with a 3rd party mod based on the available information.

Since the issue seems to be with terrain LOD, the usual log to upload would be the SSELODGen_log.txt from xLODGen.

The issue is probably caused by setting Optimize Unseen for LOD level 4 to 500 instead to off.
