Is there a workaround for the Farmhouse mod? How are we supposed to install STEP, even core, if it isn't installed?

If you mean aMidianBorn Farmhouse, this mod contains only textures so you can skip it for now.

I've removed aMidianBorn Farmhouse from the live Guide since it being hidden is confusing newer users. This change will filter onto the Guide during the next page refresh.

Lepidoptera Of Skyrim has been hidden, which is apparently the reason I was eligible for no patches at the end of installing :(

Thanks for the report. I wish authors who choose to retire wouldn't pull their content. This will require an update to the patches. I will attempt to update the core patches this weekend. The extra patches will likely remain untouched because they are going away with the next release of the Guide anyway. There are simply too many versions of the patches being maintained.

First I just wanna say thank you for all of this work, the results are amazing. I was able to set up STEP about a year ago and can't imagine playing it any other way. New machine now, though, and I'm running into some issues. 
 
First, when using the latest version of Wrye Bash, creating a bashed patch will have a bug in it that causes the title menu to not show up at all - just leaving the logo spinning. It's described here and the culprit in this case seems to be DesyncedBirdsOfPrey.esp.
 
If I either a) don't merge DBOP.exe or B) Use a different version of WB, I can start the game. Unfortunately, the 'nude NPC' issue happens again, which was linked to aMidianBorn_contentAddon.exp not having delev/relev tags last time around. (I remember having to add them before. Those tags are added automatically now, and I can see the lists being merged in the bashed patch, but... Ralof (and others) are still nekkid. This poster's having the same problem too, it seems.

A question for the Admins: With Lepidoptera of Skyrim now gone, is there a change that needs to be made for the Clothing and Clutter meta rule in LOOT?

I don't think so. Leppidoptera of Skyrim is providing some of the meshes, textures, and effects for the moths although most of the meshes actually come from Wiseman303's Critter Fixes (lower down the left pane). If you don't have this mod, the few moth textures in the game just revert back to vanilla.

The new mage clothing is the same textures from Rustic Clothing so there's no need to worry about that. Mage Overhaul should still overwrite everything since we chose those textures over Rustic for their uniqueness. Shouldn't have to worry about Gemling either, but I'd have to look to be certain.

 

The STEP patches are likely overdue for an update. I may or may not get them updated before STEP v3.0 release.

So since MO 1 no longer works with the Nexus if I want to setup STEP I should just download MO 2? The wiki still links to MO 1 so I thought I'd throw it in this thread.

2.10.0 is shortly to be replaced with STEP 3.0 - updates to this guide are likely to be extremely low on the priorities list. Additionally, while thanks are in order for the error you spotted... it has kinda been talked about a lot on the forums. A search should have brought it up for you.

I kinda just went straight into the guide after lightly browsing the forums. I've been away for some time so I'm way behind (just had to reinstall an older version of loot because of global priorities). Thanks for the heads up about the update though, I'll pipe down on here until that comes along :)

Not a matter of piping down - it is the released guide at the moment - it's more that as a general rule you should do a forum search for any issue you find first, just to see if it's already been discussed or is in discussion. You are entirely correct that MO1 isn't in development anymore, and there are two options: A) Use the version of MO1 you found (the very last update ever) and B) Use MO2, which works plenty good with a few changes to the instructions in the guide. Either works well, and I shifted over to MO2 myself and had no problems. 

 

If you have questions on how to adapt to either of those options, that's fine, and we'll be glad to help... but that would be a different thread. :)
