Disable Auto-Aim [Nothing to see here, move along]

I can't believe this mod hasn't been suggested before.

It's pretty self-explanatory really. It disables auto aiming when firing a bow (or crossbow) so the arrow (or bolt) goes where you aim, and not where the game wants it to go, which drastically decreases the chances of the arrow missing its target for multiple reasons derived from auto-aiming (multiple enemies, target partially behind cover/obstructed, etc).

I've been using it for, like, forever. The only 'problem' with it is that sometimes when the game triggers a killcam, and the target moves, the arrow will actually miss the target, because it moved. You can look at it as a bug, or as a feature (more realistic) :P

EDIT: Apparently some ini tweaks from STEP already take care of it, sorry.

OK, this is embarrassing...

Apparently the following STEP ini tweaks already take care of it

f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7

f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7

f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7

f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7

fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0

fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0

So... I guess it's best if everyone pretend this didn't happen :unsure:

That values only change the "tilt" of the arrow in relation with the aim dot/cross.

The values that actually get rid of the auto-aim are these:

fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0

fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0

Under [Combat] at Skyrim.ini

So yeah, let's pretend that didn't happen also. x)

hahaha LOL

Auto-aim and mouse acceleration are game breaking features for M+K users.

Yeah, I hate how if you disable v-sync your mouse goes totally crap.

Don't like much v-sync, but in skyrim is a must have, because of the mouse lag and the terrible tearing.
