So you created a folder named Achievements in the mod section of Mod Organizer? Or did you put it somewhere else in the MO directory?

My botched installation had already created the folder structure for me...but I assume you can just create the folders by hand and restart MO to see it in the installed mod list on the left (same way as with the empty divider folders Gernash has created for us). But the location is in the mod folder where all the mods that are installed are unzipped to.

Yep "ridiculous", the War of the Commonwealth is quite insane (Oh So Fun).

 

What I'll do is post a complete install excluding WOTC and make a Plugin for that once you have "Completed" the non DLC game.

 

I'd say it's a level 40 "Difficulty booster Pack".

 

The Survival mode version will be excluding it.

Doesn't the WOTC mod come with its own settings so you can turn spawns etc off when you start a new game and enable them when you feel it starts to become too easy and slowly make things more difficult (and fun :))

 

One thing I think needs addressing is the melee damage. Yesterday on survival I had very enjoyable moments taking out raiders with my 10mm first gun but a horde of ghauls just were too quick for me to take out, and one touch just killed me instantly. Mind you, a single headshot can kill you as well, which is perfectly fine. Seems fights has become much more long range than before, taking cover and a more tactical approach is needed, which is just awesome. 

 

Thoughts regarding survival mode playing with my limited experience and personal preferences: Some sort of save mod is pretty much needed, just way too annoying to have to reload from a bed. I installed that survival options mod and put it to the bottom of my load order, seemed to work. The default requirement to drink, seems to be a bit too harsh, had to use two purified waters (1-2 simpacks used) already when I arrived to the red rocket. Mind you, might be due to survival options mod.

 

I'm planning on playing a complete survival game with focus on settlements, so I think that beacon mod (settlers go and collect stashed junk) and settlement surplus would make that more enjoyable.

I havent played with DEF_UI yet, but are there settings to use for DEF_UI to make the hud more immersive? For example hiding parts of the hud when you are not in combat?

Or maybe the possibility to include other mods like iHud? But this will these mods will probably break DEF_UI?

I'll start showing what's happening for survival (full configurable in pip-boy to adjust to your needs) Yes melee is very OP atm I can Porvide a seperate patch to lower melee damage.


Once I get this up I'll do a UI, remember 1 person...


Also damage base damage for nukes etc is 250 you all larger weapons will 1 shot you, You need to listen to the whistle or the spool (ZOMG 50cal mini cannon) and run like F__K!


I'm taking the approach that you are an ex SAS(US:MARINE) type guy and you will be set up accordingly, the enemy and damage will be high so you will need to approch in a more tactical way not LOLOL pew pwe I stand in the middle of the street PEWPEW


As far as I'm concerned "Survival" is not all about FOOD but Scrounging and killing enemies to acquire assets and equipment. to be the focus.

Also you will need to play 6:1 time to get the most out of it.

Sounds good and please take your time, no need to stress. The 6:1 time, there were warnings regarding that for vivid weathers. So far I haven't seen anything strange but good to keep in mind I guess. Does time also affect fast travel? (personally not going to use it other than if enabled through the subway mod or similar)

Oh, and more durable vertibirds probably also required to be installed.

Yeah, I like that. The subway one sounds really good. The thing is, if you keep getting the defend settlements tasks as in vanilla, it just becomes impossible to reach the settlements in time as you have to fight through the warzone. Is there a mod where you could assign minutemen squads to said settlements for defence? Be a general for real? :) There is this Immersive Fast Travel mod that could fit the bill for vertibird taxi?

I saw you talking about DEF_UI, so, shameless plug here, I made a compact DEF_UI preset, it's mainly for endgame and it works great on FROST.

 


 

Since iHud is not at its full potential, I made this preset in a way that can be immersive without using iHud (i.e. if you are healthy and not in combat, your screen should be clean)

Looks interesting, With that UI would lean towards an "immersive" player for Sure!

 

With the comments I've been receiving so far from people I think it's a 2 way split

 

FPS over RPG - more non-lore

RPG over FPS - more lore

 

I have been playing with Weaponsmith a bit now and with a bit of tweaking I think it's nice : non-lore

The "Plugins" have been Mostly NON-lore.

The core Being Lore"ish".

 

I'm in a corner atm not sure what to peruse.....

 

Might Update the patch set for CORE and add some more immersive stuff while I mull this over a bit.
