well, I extracted the two Ba2 files using the archive tool in creation kit, then I changed the properties of the BA2 files to hidden and left them in the same folder as the unpacked content, rezipped the main folder and installed using MO. Hopefully that was correct and you didnt mean to hide the three folders that were unpacked. Meshes, etc.

 

 

 

EDIT: Actually after thinking about it, I changed the properties for the unpacked materials, meshes and textures to hidden as that made more sense when you say "or the meshes may be overwritten". I didnt know that hiding meshes kept them from being overwritten

 

 

EDIT: lol goddammit a quick google search found what you meant. Unpack BA2's in folder, install with MO2, go into filetree in mod pane for that mod, right click meshes folder, tick hidden. That way MOD A meshes wont be overwritten by MOD B's Meshes..hence the .mohidden

So, think I got all installed per the latest version of the guide. But I'm struggling with my load order. Seems loot doesn't really do much and comparing to the supplied loot order list, I had to do a lot of manual switching about. Any chance for an upto date list btw? :) Anyhow, I still  get out of order subrecords with FO4Edit...and warnings about unused data. What would be the best way to tackle this kind of issues?

I have noticed that the LOOT sorting will get what I call stale after you do numerous LOOT sessions. I have found that if you close MO and use Windows file explorer to rename loadorder.txt in the active profile and restart MO and run LOOT it will do a better job of sorting your ESPs and ESMs for a while. I have compared the differances between the before and after files and in some cases a lot will get moved.

 

Try this when you see things not sorting when you think they should.

 

Edit: I attached a Pdf showing this. In this the lloadorder.txt is what what I was using and the loadorder.txt is after MO restart and LOOT sort.

Loot also doesn't simply to seem very updated compard to Skyrim.  Probably people just not bothering to report rules into it.

 

Also just so everyone knows Fo4 just patched again so SKSE has stopped working until they update it (i tried the one from Friday before the rollback. No joy)

Is everything right regarding the instructions of Cut Weapon Mods restored? None of compatibility patches are selected? Noticed I was missing CWMR-Patch-Extended weapon mods.esp (listed in the load order list)

How about AWKCR and ValdacilsItemSorting?

I believe Gernash's own patches cover it all so you don't need to worry.

Anyone care to upload a working load order I could parse through? I don't mind if it has extra stuff included, as long as it loads ok :)

Sorry for replying to my own post, didn't find any edit button. Seems the metric ton of errors I see in FO4Edit are all from Tales from the Commonwealth and quick google revealed those are false positives...

I'll just play and see how it goes...finally \o/

load order - Ignore the things you dont have (testing and stuff)

I Assume You have the creation kit installed for the archieving tool.

 

LOOT should be working but there must not be enough references made out there for these mods

Order should look something like this (the patches will tell you if you have it wrong if you run FO4EDIT!!!!!)

General "Rule" :- for a load order with the least amount of conflicts (from what I've seen so far)

  • Settlement Mods.............
  • Enemy Overhauls...................(these usually have worldspace edits that affect lighting)
  • Crafting Mods..............
  • Weapon Mods...............................(require to have combined patches for weapon tables and VIS)
  • Weather and Lighting.............(require Priority load order and patch as they all affect light (look at underwater lighting to get an idea)
  • VIS...........................................(Excellent MOD need soo much patching if you have chosen anything outside of the box)
  • Weapons Rack.........................(Because I like it)
  • Loose Mods..................Un-catagorized mods that don't affect other mods in any meaningful way
  • Better Mod Descriptions.........
  • Workshop Rearranged.................. Menu control
  • ModWiki Patches.................. MODWiki Patches

CWMR-Patch-Extended weapon mods.esp is not needed the patch from the author does not link to the correct esp and the "patch"(it just adds CWMR mods to the loot list) is in the Modwiki patches. I have it for reference only

same goes for (they are overwritten and I have a custom keyword and innr patch to include all the other mods in the list.)

The FOMOD instructions are up to date with which patches need to be installed. Weapons are Unique as most of them don't play well together. I still have to add another section for better (more realistic bullet specs(caliber, speed, drop and casing crafting) so At the moment it's a blend of WOF (speed, drop and effects) and RGBO (damage and item stats)

 

I have not posted any of my thaughts on these topics as feedback so far has been ok to nonexistant to damage, armor and health.

lol it takes a while to do the bundling but it contains quite a few very well done weapons by many many talented authors


just had to make sure to follow the guys video to the T when it comes to the bundling process..it like an hour long video but he goes from start to finish 


If I could save him the trouble I could just share the massive ass file somehow.
