I would highly recommend looking at incorporating Skyrim underground as I have been exploring it with no issues/conflicts with guide mods. Plus it is incorporated into LoTD as displays etc.

I am going to let Nozzer decide if he wants to add that as I am going to be busy over the next few weeks got a few festivals coming up then a tour during August it's coming up to my busy time of year so won't have much time to look at much.

what is up with my spelling today lol.

DynDOLOD threw an error and told me to check the whole list of plugins for errors in xedit. So I'm doing it and it's finding a zillion errors! What am I to do?! Should I manually fix them all? Or is there a particular type of error I should be looking for and fixing?

Note that LOOT reports them all clean, and I did the manual fixes where and when the guide told me to.

Ok, not a zillion but a few and I don't know if or how I should address these errors reported by xEdit:

Going through the right pane and inspecting the records, one by one, I see that the "error: could not be resolved" also shows in the table (see image):

It allows me to right click and remove it. So this is how you do it?

You probably shouldn't remove those records, you won't have a lighting template. carry over from the left of it and overwrite it.

If the author of this new mod setup would be so kind to answer this question it would be great.  I am looking to add some improved spell casting animations that I like into my game, as I feel beths built in ones are kind of..well..flat and not very epic and spell casting like.  My question is where would I put those? Any that you would recommend to work well with your setup? Thank you so much for this new and up to date guide, I miss Neovalens, as I used it up until SE came out, but with a lack of skse 64 Im coming back to Oldrim until it comes out, so thank you again for continuing his great work!

Well during new installation I ****ed up a bit. installed optional files in same folder as mine files, merging them that shouldnt be a problem right?

I said recently there's not likely to be any new big additions very soon cause we want someone other than myself, Lexy and Darth to really put some time into the guide and see what's working and what needs repair/replacement. This still stands.

There may be small changes made etc, but that's about all for a while.

Put them in the same section that you do all the other animation and skeleton type mods. As for any particular ones, none spring quickly to mind.

I've had a bit on idea what perhaps we could do with is a small team say 3 or 4 people who would be will be just play the game and then provide me, Darth and Nozzer feedback on there experiences. That way we know where things need to be tweaks what mods aren't really working or are not really needed for this setup.

if this is of interest for some of you then maybe PM me, Darth or Nozzer and we'll sort out the best way to do this.

First off, thank you for this great guide and all the work you put into it. Just recently came back to Oldrim (because no SKSE64) and really didn't have the nerv to get my own setup up and running.

So now after I have installed this guide, I came across a wierd issue with a visible neck seam on all NPC and all player races which I think has to do with texture colour not fitting together properly. It's most noticible on male orcs. Don't know if it's just my OCD kicking in and it's just the way Skyrim is or if there really is a problem.

What I tinkerd with until now:

  • Tried useing Texblend for the females
  • Tried reinstalling the Mature and Skysight Textures
  • Tried moveing them to the bottom of my installed mods

Nothing helped. Here are some images:

Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm already doing this - and have provided information where I feel something was a bit off with the game. Mind you I'm not a graphics nerd, I think it just looks nice and I didn't even notice the "grass on roads". My focus is more on bugs/ctds/script lag and playability of the game. I will continue to report my findings (I'm at lvl 42 now and around 200-250 hours in).

If you'd like for me to report things in a specific way, please do tell me :)

Okay fair enough Nozzer, no more recommendations for now then. I will concentrate on ctd/bug/glitch locating through a playthrough for now then. Limited time though so probably won't be on Lexy's team lol. The life of an Electrical Engineer is quite lucrative but the hours are @!$@#$^#%@!QW$&^*(

ok got to the npc retexture and chose the first option, guide says download this pack, SRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Core - Conflict Resolution but that one is under old versions, should we use SRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Conflict Resolution (Option 1) instead?

yes install SRLE Extended LOTD - NPC Retextures - Conflict Resolution (Option 1) this is cos Darth changed the name on the download page but hasn't actually changed the name of the files cos he a lazy arse. See this why people get confused sometimes and he a demented demented man lol.  I'll give him good kick up the arse next time i see him which will be a few weeks. I would change it but i cant as I don't have access to the Nexus Page (obviously he does trust me enough  ) but I will tweak the guide.

Well, option 1 if you went with option 1 right? Cause my OSEX loving ass went with option 2 for pretty people
