[WIP] Mod Picker
Mator replied to Terrorfox1234's question in Mator's Utilities Support (archived, read-only)
What mods are you referring to? TechAngel85 has completed a STEP mod list on Mod Picker, though it is not yet public. Please refer to the other thread here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/11659-mod-picker-by-the-mod-picker-team -
Alright, I fixed the issue with removing the last tag from a mod. I'm going to need to do some more work to get tag deletion from the edit mod page to work properly, it'll work if you delete all the tags, but otherwise won't detect the changes properly. I'm looking into a solution. - Mator EDIT: Got it. All fixed!
-
Yeah, I'm aware of both of these issues. I'll fix them tomorrow. :)
-
Did you delete all the tags from the mod? I'm aware of this issue in that circumstance, just haven't gotten around to pushing a fix.
-
1. I'll look into that issue and see if I can find the cause and fix it. 2. Unfortunately poor behavior of the markdown editor isn't something I can fix very easily. The editor comes from here. 3. Click the "toggle fullscreen" button to exit full screen:

Pushed an update to the platform and Mod Analyzer. We now have public API access. The Public API is ~90% complete and everything we currently have is working and link removed due to potential spam/phishing. You can refer to the Mod Picker article for more information: link removed due to potential spam/phishing

[Mod Organizer 2/SSE] Is there something I may have missed?
Mator replied to Thenatural's question in Mod Organizer Support
Navigate to %localappdata% (type that in an address bar or the start menus search) and open the Mod Organizer 2 folder. -
[Conflict Resolution] "Cannot be resolved" error??
Mator replied to tjax323's question in xEdit Support
Haven't you been linked this before? Also see Mod Picker Plugin Errors Help Page -
Potentially, but it's not a priority. There are a lot of other things which need to be figured out first, and aspects of how the site is currently coded may need to be heavily optimized to be mobile-friendly.

I've been working on an update to Mod Analyzer for awhile now, it's a big improvement. There are a few things I'm afraid I won't be able to include in the update. The biggest item which I'd like to have in Mod Analyzer 2 is never touching the user's game data directory, which I can only do when xEdit is able to load plugins outside of the data directory without issue. I'll probably be pushing an update later today.

[Conflict Resolution] So... this is... just... well... weird
Mator replied to tjax323's question in xEdit Support
It looks to me like Sofia already has a patch for GDO which fixes the issue, so you shouldn't need to patch that record. -
The only reason you need to build references is if you need to access the "Referenced by" tab on a record (which tells you which records reference that record), OR you are going to run a script which needs to access that tab. Conflict resolution generally does not require this.

All good man, thanks for submitting a review! :)

[Conflict Resolution] FormID conflict? Add? How?
Mator replied to tjax323's question in xEdit Support
1. Copy the record from USSEP as override into your patch file 2. Add the ArenaCombatant entry to the end of the override record in your patch file 3. Done. xEdit will still highlight things red because it's an unordered array, but all entries should now be there. -
Current test output: We're doing pretty good. Below is an overview of current progress: It's likely that not all functions will be tested in the initial release. I expect to make an initial release within the next few weeks.

Oh, these weren't listed as mods, that must be why I missed them. These will also need to be given proper web pages I think. The reason why we have this policy is we don't want to have to police direct download links. Requiring links to be to official mod pages reduces the chance/ease of "mod piracy".
-
OK, all the mods have been submitted. I was not able to submit ELFX - Parallax Patch OR Vivid Landscapes - Animated Clutter Patch because these are links to direct downloads which go against Mod Picker policy regarding custom mod sources. The original author of these files (Neovalen?) needs to create a proper web page for these mods per the instructions in the OP.

Thanks y'all! :D

OK, but you should still make it visible, shouldn't you? I mean it's kind of a shame for it to not be viewable by anyone, even if it is incomplete. I'd suggest Visibility: Public, Status: Under Construction, but it's your call, of course. ;)

I will be sharing them soon. :)

Merged plugins directory path issue
Mator replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
It's possible that the plugin ended up in the data folder, you may have not set the setting or there may be another issue (?). I would create a mod from the overwrite folder and call it "Tweaks and Fixes", then proceed as normal. -
TechAngel85: You may want to set the STEP Mod List as publicly visible. Right now it's set as both Private and Under Construction, which means no one can view it except for you and Mod Picker Staff.
