  1. * MO profile .ini = Skyrim/Mod Organizer/Profiles/(your profile)/Skyrim.ini
  2. @ Rayhne - you need to point BethINI to your MO profile .ini also, just to throw it out there but I personally use WSCO + Inhabitants of Skyrim (v3, with vanilla hair) and call it a day for NPC retexture. Very little CR required. I do also use COP (consistent older people) + Mothers & Daughters for 'realistic' older people. With the race height adjustments of Disparity, there is a real diversity to the NPC's now, while remaining grounded in the vanilla 'style'. Plus, as I said, the whole thing takes almost no CR, just proper LO. I am thinking about maybe one more retexture mod in addition to hit some of the more prominent characters left out of IoS, but I'm not sure yet. Dragon Soul Relinquishment rocks. Great way to continue to advance a character that has maxed out their 'class' skills without resorting to using skills they never would otherwise. Also pairs well with the increased variety of perks in Ordinator.
  3. So perhaps I didn't ask any clear questions here, or people just missed it. I'd really love to know why xEdit would report an error in Sacrosanct when (at least as far as I can tell - which is admittedly not that far) all it's doing is over-writing a vanilla quest with it's own changes? Is checking the entire LO for errors at once not recommended? The same errors seem to show up when I check the individual mods, so I'm guessing that's not it. Is there an issue with the navmesh conflicts between USLEEP, ICAIO and 3DNPC? Is this at all something to be concerned with / might these errors explain the crashes I was experiencing? I've done a complete manual CR for my LO and spent quite a while doing it, examining every conflicted record one by one and even researching things I didn't understand when possible... I'm really fairly certain I've done things correctly, and my game just runs incredibly smooth, yet on two separate playthroughs - both times right around level 20-27 ish, I wind up running into this wall where my game will begin to crash... not on EVERY savegame or door, but just about. Both times cycled back through saves to no avail. I feel like - those errors must mean something is up, but I just have no idea how to begin to understand what that might be. As I said I've chased down a a couple references tossed up in those messages and haven't found much (at least so far). Any advice here would be appreciated.
  4. You want to copy your mods and profiles (downloads too if you care about them) folders from your previous MO installation into the new one (hoping you didn't delete your previous installation yet?), though I don't think the desktop is a good location for that. Pretty sure those are the only folders necessary, but not certain...
  5. Hey sorry to necro an old thread, but I've been building/playing my own sort of improvised large modlist based on SRLE: LOTD, STEP and Dreadflopps Packs with bits of Explorers Guide... not on the scale of what Dunc was attempting here, but a pretty large list nonetheless. I just checked my own LO for errors as I've been experiencing some weird crashes on saving and load screens (doors, basically and not in a specific location). Wound up with somewhat similar results. Just a ton of errors in Skyrim.esm, a navmesh error in USLEEP, lots of tint layer errors in NPC's on various mods, a couple VMAD errors... etc. When I pull up the record mentioned in the USLEEP error (000FC127), I find that its overwritten by first ICAIO + then 3DNPC. However, oddly in that same cell is another navmesh that is also edited by USLEEP, ICAIO + 3DNPC (00FC11C) and it is not mentioned? Sacrosanct pulls quest stage errors in Vanilla quests... checking the records, it just looks like Sacrosanct is editing vanilla quests... Not sure what to make of this? I do realize the navmesh stuff with 3DNPC + ICAIO could be an issue? I just have absolutely no idea how to resolve it, so that's one thing i've just decided that 3DNPC is likely more important to win that conflict so I load it last. My load order, though it contains a number of merges so is likely not all that useful. *oh and I've already checked, I am using the latest version of xEdit (3.2) ;)
  6. Wondering if anyone has installed the Win10 Creators Update? I started it up the other day and now my game is consistently crashing when saving and passing from interior to exterior, seemingly anywhere. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with Crash Fixes / or ENB memory management features, as that has now changed?
  7. Again, based on your questions I would strongly recommend taking a look at some of the linked documentation within the guide, as it really is all explained pretty clearly. Specifically, the Mod Organizer guide will be quite useful I think.
  8. If you only want to install STEP: Core, only install those mods. Don't install any of the mods from STEP: Extended. It seems like you're misunderstanding one of the greatest benefits of using Mod Organizer; after installing, you can simply drag a mod to any spot in your installation (in MO's LEFT pane) and MO will automatically adjust file priority. It is the placement in MO's left pane that is important, not specific installation order. *So long as you install the mods following the guides instructions - ie. selecting the same installer options, making sure you're d/l'ing and installing the correct files/versions, etc. So if you install STEP: Core and find yourself wanting to install Extended, you can simply install said mods in MO afterward, then drag them to their correct placement in the guide / MO's left pane. Unfortunately I'm an English speaker and don't know anything about how different languages work with Skyrim.
  9. STEP: Extended mods should be installed (activated in Mod Organizers LEFT pane) in the same order as they appear in the guide, not after your STEP: Core installation. All mods in the guide should be ordered in MO's LEFT pane exactly as they appear in the guide. If you are getting repeatable CTD's at any of the benchmarks it's because you have made an error in your installation before that point, which is one of the main reasons behind the benchmark. It is not likely that the STEP patches will 'cure' CTD's. The purpose of the patches is mostly consistency. As for missing mods - I don't have the guide installed as I do my own thing, but the staff here keep the guide up to date for the most part and I find it unlikely there are mods listed that are not available. Are you certain you are using the correct version of the guide? STEP v2.10.0 In general, from your questions I would say that you have missed out on many things that are spelled out pretty clearly in the guide. I would suggest going back to the guide, reading everything carefully and trying to figure out where you've gone wrong. If that doesn't help, do a clean install and start the guide from the beginning, really making sure to read everything.
  10. Yeah I try to donate to the authors whose mods I use. Strikes me I've never donated to you, Sparrow... does the Nexus work for that? Gophers latest video on the subject;
  11. I mean the Power-Horse-Armor thing ... I know it's intended as a joke, but it's legitimately insulting. This CC roll-out is exactly what Horse Armor was for Oblivion. It's mostly cosmetic, over-priced, and lacking in content.
  12. Yeah I had a degree of optimism when it was first announced... I'm also typically... maybe not a Bethesda 'supporter', but I tend not to agree with the derision they get in the community, even when making decisions I don't agree with (ie. Fallout 4, lol) However the roll-out of CC so far is honestly insulting, and I find myself hoping that it either fails or generates enough backlash from the community to get them to re-think the whole project... again. I mean, in what universe is a new set of Power Armor worth $4-5? How can they possibly think that's acceptable? The Nuka-World DLC was what 10, 15? It came with new PA, weapons, NPC's, quests, a new worldspace and an alternative settlement style (just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more). I would happily pay for mods... I mean I would sink probably... I don't even know if there's a limit to the additional money I would pay for mods to expand my game, provided I felt like I was actually getting value for my money.
  13. I have an install of the FNV guide and that is what SRB uses for conflict resolution in his guide, but I would not recommend it for Skyrim. I just finished my own huge mod install and was trying to figure out how to get WB to do what I wanted it to, and wound up giving the 'generate bash tags' script a shot. I found it reverting changes that I had made in my CR. I think very likely that is at least in some part due to user error (perhaps LO stuff, or it may be necessary to remove certain tags from certain mods), but I really did spend quite a while experimenting with WB, LO, Tags and so on and checking the results. I think you'd need a really good understanding of WB and Tags in order to not mess up the CR patch with that script.
  14. .... a whole lot to unpack here. To begin, if you're going to deviate from any guide but don't know how to understand and resolve conflicts between mods on your own - or aren't wiling/able to take the time to learn then it's pretty much a dice roll on any mod you may want to install as to whether it will conflict with said guide or other mods you've installed, and other users who are doing their own thing may have some of the mods you mention but not others, making giving good answers difficult. Between Mod Organizer and TESV/xEdit programs however you can learn to check for conflicts and even resolve them on your own. It is genuinely not difficult, I am a computer illiterate fool who learned without much difficulty once I finally bit the bullet and tried. Most of the information you need is contained within the STEP guide and the linked documentation, if you read carefully and understand some basic concepts. Enai's mods tend to be fairly compatible, but depending on which, likely will need some patching. Legacy of the Dragonborn is a huge mod that almost certainly needs patching against STEP mods and probably Enai's, and is sort of thematically opposed to Morrowloot, probably conflicts heavily with Morrowloot Ultimate. By the sound of it you may be interested in SRLE Extended: LOTD but it is a separate guide from STEP and you will have to essentially re-do everything. Alternatively, there are Dreadflopps Packs for STEP, which are addon packs of mods that he has patched to work with STEP: Core or Extended, though they are at this point a bit out-of-date (I believe) as he is now working on/maintaining his SE packs. As for why no Immersive Creatures in STEP... I'd imagine they see it as outside of the bounds of what they do, though it can be configured to behave (mostly) like a vanilla creature extension if desired.
  15. It's been down for a while due to bugs. A new version is apparently in the works, but no ETA. Been waiting on it and CaliberX v5 to finish my FNV install. The original RWL is up; here And there's always Nevada Skies. I'll just wait, personally.
  16. Sounds like texture pop-in? I imagine if you give it a couple seconds/minute the full resolution textures do appear? I used this ini tweak when I first noticed it (when I was first playing) and it worked well. Tried it again on my newer install and it did nothing, but I'm pretty sure that's because I didn't set the ini correctly (used the ini editor in MO2... can't remember if it works or not... too many mods on too many games).
  17. Thanks Tech. Didn't even see the replies to that comment initially.
  18. Making a custom patch at the moment for my LO and trying to learn more - doing research about things I'm unfamiliar with for the first time, rather than just trying to 'feel' it out as I have in the past. Anyway, coming across a lot of these XLRL - Location Reference records. My 'feel' is that they should be forwarded as they tend to come up in mods like USLEEP, CRF, etc. and some of the CRF ones have a CRF prefix which suggests that its related to something added by the mod? As I said though not just trusting my intuition and found this? Which seems to suggest that they should not only not be forwarded but are actually a wild edit caused by the CK?
  19. That is great news, excited for the fall update!
  20. Especially so when its as poorly implemented as it is. Not at typical of Chesko. I'm not particularly worried about the .esp slot personally, I just don't like the look of it, and I have checked it out in-game.
  21. *to clarify - I meant the 'Plugins' tab in MO's RIGHT pane.
  22. There is no trick whatsoever to the installation of Alternate Start. If the other esp's in that profile are activated and working, there is no reason I can think of that it should not work as well, provided its .esp and .bsa are activated in the profile you are using. As far as I'm aware, Alt Start has never had an MCM. Not sure where you're getting that from. Perhaps you're thinking of Disparity. You say 'within MO, they are checked active'... I apologize but must re-iterate; is the plugin (.esp) activated in the 'Plugins' tab of MO's left pane? The only other thing I can think of is; are you certain you have done the necessary .ini tweaks for the .ini's that correspond with the profile in question? MO houses seperate .ini's for each profile, it's necessary to point BethINI to each specific profile.
  23. Yeah those mods do not have MCM's. from the One Tweak page; Configuration file is [game install directory]/Data/SKSE/Plugins/OneTweak.ini, it will be created after first run.NOTE: MO users require to edit OneTweak.ini trough MO. If alternate start is not activating in game it is likely because the plugin is not activated in MO's left pane, or possibly the archive is not activated in the 'Archives' tab in MO's left pane. Though if that were the case I'd imagine you'd just be seeing a lot of missing textures / meshes (purple stuff, exclamation marks), or maybe CTD.
  24. Hey Dread. Pretty excited to test this out... Don't have SE installed right now though, still slowly building my CR for my recent Oldrim install. If I get some free time soon I might install it... as all the things I'm waiting on are taking forever, I was hoping at least for the new Nexus manager before I got going. Anyway. Rags to Riches: A Realistic Loot Mod Realistic and Compatible Loot ... I thought of another one last night that I really liked but didn't write down and can't recall! Damn.
