DynDOLOD requires PapyrusUtil
z929669 replied to Wolfstorm321's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Proper install order (MO left pane): Papyrus DynDOLOD Resources DynDOLOD DLL These should not be high priority in you MO left pane unless you have almost no other mods installed. They should be near lowest priority. You probably have the wrong versions of #1 or #2 for your game runtime and/or the version of DynDOLOD you are running. Assuming you are using DynDOLOD alpha 111. -
CTD On Specific Character Saves
z929669 replied to Arcfell's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
As these logs indicate, you probably need to be certain these plugins are still in your LO and that no new mods are overriding them differently than before you made changes to your LO and mod list. TSR_TeldrynSerious.esp FEC.esp Ryn's Karthspire.esp Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp JS Emissive Eyes SE - Johnskyrim.esp -
That mod is listed as a requirement, but it's really not needed to get the functionality, so it's more a 'soft' requirement. Needs to be tested/confirmed. It should be fine to install, but it's not going to be added until 2.3 release.

The SSE AE guide does specify settings that work well for our setup in the TexGen images.
-
As described in the forum rules and DynDOLOD OP, you will need to provide the logs indicated in order to resolve your issue.
-
Follow the guide from the beginning, and you will see that all relevant instructions are included. Guide versions almost always include small changes to instructions/process, but we only call out significant stuff. It's too much work to note every small alteration. Information necessary to upgrade from 2.1.0 is included. https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:2.2.0#DynDOLOD https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:DynDOLOD_3_Alpha/2.2.0
-
It's all still in the 2.2.0 guide with slight changes to settings. The guide walks you through all the options. Begin with the changelog and the beginning of the guide linked at top of forums and wiki.

It's hard to say and depends on the PC and how much LOD grass % you set in DynDOLOD. DynDOLOD generally costs 10-30 FPS, including grass LOD. You will need to test the difference for yourself to know for certain.
-
DynDOLOD produces grass LOD if you have the grass files to do it, which we provide in the Nexus download under Miscellaneous Files
-
Yes. It's optional though
-
Yes, it's fine to not install the fire magic addon. You can also reduce iMaxParticles to 6000.
-
Then we'll update the guide accordingly. Thanks
-
Please check that you have the mod installed as instructed or are using the Main File if there are no specific instructions. It's possible that we may need to check if it's changed with a recent update as long as you are running the latest version.
-
Yes, the process works when all plugins are cleaned, which should be indicated by LOOT. If the latest version of LOOT is used, and the entire guide is followed, LOOT should report the same mods for cleaning for everyone unless masterlists are different, which shouldn't be the case after an update. If some people have non-standard things going on in their setups that they can't work around, then they probably shouldn't have those things going on. And the guide explicitly states to clean all the plugins. Nothing in the guide is optional unless it explicitly says so. We shouldn't need to provide an instruction for each qualifying instruction stating that it is more important than the others. Ya gotta follow the guide.
-
There's actually around 30-40 CC plugins and Update/Hearthfies/Dawnguard/Dragonborn that should all be cleaned according to LOOT. It's all explained in the early part of the guide. You must install the DynDOLOD DLL NG version as here You must also beusing the latest DynDOLOD alpha .... with all plugins cleaned and DynDOLOD config as indicated in the guide.
-
As the message says, you are using the wrong version of DynDOLOD DLL for your SKSE and game runtime versions. See this for checking things. It's installed correctly though, and papyrus should be installed at lower priority than both of these if you are also using that.

OK, so you are saying that when you changed from 'Balanced' to "Best performance" in this menu Your DynDOLOD processing time was basically cut in half? If so, would you care to confirm by changing it back to "Balanced", restart, run DynDOLOD on Tamriel worldspace using your standard settings. Note the processing time. Then repeat this after changing to "Best performance", restart, run DynDOLOD on Tamriel worldspace using your identical settings. Note the processing time. Without this confirmation, it's really just speculation. If you do this, I will test the same, but my issues were resolved with the latest 111 alpha of DynDOLOD. Also, I resolved this issue previously, by installing AMD Radeon Adrenaline using "Factory Reset" and "Driver Only"

I use Ryzen 9 3950x and have had such issues, but your post isn't clear at all. Please provide screen shots of the Win 11 settings you are talking about. This? Either way, you can still control everything from Control Panel even though it's not clear what the new settings correspond to in CP.

We support multiple Bethesda guides using the same xEdit application that is offered as multiple redundant downloads from Nexus game-specific locations. We simply chose one (the most popular) and termed it 'x'Edit, which is also its most popular reference for the same reason. We call this out in the System Setup Guide for xEdit installation: 'SSEEdit' is 'xEdit', and applies to all Bethesda games! .... but we can also call this out in the Tools Setup section, since that is the first encounter when following the guide. Noted. Will check it out and revise as necessary. This is beyond the scope of our guides. An archive is an archive, and some files on Nexus are ZIP and RAR. It's not in our purview to teach people about the distinction with no difference. Lush trees option doesn't have a 'greener' pines section. There are several flavors of this mod in Main Files. We pick one and don't support instructions specific to each. I favor getting rid of the note on all such mod pages rather than adding it to each, but consistency is important. We address such issues in the moment when editing these mod pages. It's hard to be consistent all the time. We do keep this in mind, however unsuccessfully. We'll take a look. We'll take a look. Good point. This will be addressed. We'll take a look. The Step patch still has the double-sided files we made before the MM patch mod was created, so we'll be removing those from the patch. Battle Ready Candlelight Fixes covers this mesh if the optional Post Processing modGroup is not used, so it's not redundant. We'll need to verify that ENB Lights version accomplishes the same purpose though in case it needs to be hidden from that mod. We know about Rudy Bthardamz and have noted this in the changelog.

So you don't even get any logs in /DynDLOD/logs? If not, you can add realtimelog=1 to the bottom of your TexGen_SSE.ini and DynDOLOD_SSE.ini so you at least get some of the log output in the window to copy into Notepad++ or whatever intermittently. It would be great to find out what's causing the issues, because I've had the same problems with specific alpha versions. You should be able to install the AMD drivers using the Factory Reset option in the Adrenaline setup. Then you can install Driver Only, which resolved the sluggishness problem for me ... if not the OpenGL issue.
-
If you are using Cathedral Landscapes, and you enabled the temporary xLODGen-specific textures for terrain generation and then forgot to disable that piece before DynDOLOD object LODGen, then you can get this issue. Unfortunately, you will need to disable that piece and rerun TexGen/DynDOLOD again. Terrain should be fine though.

Sorry to jump in on this again, but as Sheson points out in the first quote^ ... you generated traditional tree LOD and did not tick the 'ultra' box. If you intended to generate vanilla-like tree billboards, then this is fine, but if you are trying to generate trees in object LOD (2D 'billboards' or 3D trees), then that isn't what you configured. I only mention this, because you are using terrainManager settings probably from BethINI, and not too many people want to generate traditional tree billboards. Regardless, if you want to see traditional tree LOD beyond LOD4, then you need to increase your fTreeLoadDistance to equal your fBlockLevel1Distance or your fBlockMaximumDistance. If you use 'Ultra' trees, then fTreeLoadDistance can be zero as mentioned. EDIT: you still have issues with your object LOD though based on your screens, so this is all a moot point until you resolve that. Test with a new game and a mod install list that doesn't have any output that overrides DynDOLOD outputs.
-
Those [TerrainManager] distance settings look spot on, and fTreeLoadDistance is irrelevant if you are using 'Ultra' option in DynDOLOD. We set our to zero actually. Check that you have DynDOLOD Output all installed as a mod and that the meshes/textures folders have all the data and the mod is enabled and near the top of your priority in the MO left pane.
-
You probably don't have DynDOLOD DLL at higher priority than Papyrus in the MO left pane. They can both be installed, but the DLL must 'win': Papyrus DynDOLOD Resources DynDOLOD DLL
-
From sheson's perspective, Step Guides = third-party guides You have missed or misinterpreted an instruction somewhere. If sheson's guess is correct, then you forgot to tick the LR box in DynDOLOD GUI. Revisit the DynDOLOD screenshot in the guide and possibly all mods relating to LODGen. EDIT: reviewing your log, it's clear that you did not tick the box. You should be able to save your Occlusion.esp and not need to re-run that piece if you saved to plugin as indicated in the guide.
