And I have yet to confirm for myself. Good to see you back. I assume that you have read over the thread since you last posted? I think that there is some relevant info for you. Any idea when you are posting the stable 8.0 release to the Nexus?

DROPPED High Realistic Tundra Moss for AOF (by Aron)
z929669 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This is a must add for STEP IMO. I hope that he does the mountains as well (using green/red/yellow, but sparingly and in clusters on the correct faces). -
Agree, please do.

Likewise... way to take the initiative!

I am testing it out now for myself. So far, so good.

Nice! I have a son with same b-day as well. By brother's was on the 5th, and my dad's is on the 23rd. My family goes a little crazy in springtime I guess (just like a lot of the wild kingdom :P )

Got a bottle of wine, so all is well so far ;)

I like the first (dark, ~black).

Thanks ... tastes great!

As Besidilo states, the preferred method for STEP is to use INI Tweaks via Wrye Bash. This is more customizable to STEP, easily distributable and reduces the number of 3rd-party programs needed. We will be creating a pre-configured set ow WB Tweaks. Also, most INI tweaks advertised are not validated or recommended.

Thanks will add

DDSopt will be the preferred method for STEP in the end, as it can be scripted from the command line. It is also more accurate than OT. For now though, it will be best to rely on mod authors to process textures and not incorporate any texture opt into STEP. That can lead to problems unless we define all potential issues and package up a solution ourselves. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

Not sure where the recommendation is coming from, but assuming the guide. We should not limit to recs to any single solution but rather provide several Pack ENB options to choose from. It is ok to rec something on the guide I think. Just not STEP guide at this point IMO. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

WB will skip Data folders if they are not within a single directory hop from ROOT. However, there is no need to follow this process. I will run through it myself and see if there is a better way and rewrite that portion of the guide.

out of the box, I much prefer SkyRealism in the first shot, but true Vision wins the rest (esp #2 and #4). Both need some very small tweaks to arrive to the same result (essentially). I have been extensively developing my own version of SkyRealism starting from the vanilla baseline and have a much better version now than all of the presets offered. I'll post my settings once I finalize. If you turn up [Environment] cloud intensity (or maybe it is under [sky], in which case, you will need to turn that on) in SkyRealism, then you will get better clouds for #2. Also, the sunrays need to go way down to 1.5x to fix #4. Increase very slightly your ambient, fog, volumetric and gradient "curve" values at night (and ambient for day) to get a bit more darkness in the background (works for interiors too).

Usually if your graphics card overheats you'll start getting artifacts on the screen or a complete crash accompanied with a Windows message saying that your card has recovered from an error or just a complete system halt altogether. As long as your card isn't overclocked, is dust free, the fan is working properly, and the air has a good flow to escape your system then your card shouldn't be overheating. You can monitor the temps with third party tools that are easily found if Googled. If it's an nVidia card use nVidia Inspector. If you're you're using Dawnguard, then you should probably be using the Dawnguard Unofficial Patch as well. Skyrim Unofficial patch should also be used, tho I think that's a part of STEP. Make sure any additional mods you use are compatible with Dawnguard and Hearthfire as well. If they're not, then those mods could cause issues in certain areas of the game. Also, use BOSS if you're not and make sure your load order is correct. Like Farlo suggested, if you're not having any issues with just the completed STEP (no additional mods installed), then uninstall or deactivate anything that is not a part of STEP. Then test the additional mods one-by-one to find the specific mod that may be causing any issues. I think just about everyone here uses additional mods that aren't in STEP. Personally, I use around ten additional mods (most against STEP like Lockpick Pro...don't judge me! ) but none conflict and cause any issues because I've done the testing. Yeah, there is always a message that my graphics card restarted after a crah or something....Is this very bad? Of course i use the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, but it is included in the guide so i did´t mention it, mentioning dawnguard was a bit confusing, sorry. You have a hardware or a driver issue. STEP/Skyrim is not causing this. Download the latest drivers for your card and uninstall all of your Nvidia/ATI software (you can use TwL Cleaner or Revo). Restart and reinstall the updated drivers and see if that fixes. Otherwise, remove the card from your mobo (and hit it with an air sprayer while you are in there) and re-seat it into the slot. last resorts are to update your BIOS, reinstall Windows and get a new card (recommend in that order ;) )

I felt this way too, and although I haven't used WB for the entire STEP package, I did notice it was unnecessarily complex when I played with it.  I'm sure Z will have something to say about this however.  We talked about it over VoIP a couple weeks ago and he did make some good points, but I can't remember them >. Realistically, as long as they're using either MO or WB I really couldn't care less. arrgh! Naw, MO is fine I'm sure. For those of us that like to have complete control however, WB is superior. Its conflict resolution alone is way underappreciated. WB is about 4 feature-rich mod-management utilities all in one (and it does not run in the background :P

Thanks! I'm still working on it. Still have to get the comparison images up as the main thing that's left. You can use use the HighSlide extension (created by our own stoppingby4now) for image galleries. Note that you can make use of images external to the site if you have a cloud account or other that allows public linking to your files. this saves server space and is preferred. Otherwise, you can upload the images as well. I have an account on Imgur that I can use. I was using the wiki upload so that the images would always be there in case my personal account were to ever close.Better that they don't disappear, so upload is totally fine. Nice work on the guide. I will add my own compares to that as well once I have them all completed. Feel free to browse any of the other guides and make edits as you see fit. Writing style is not really consistent accross the guides, so that is something that I have planned to address .... someday. Volunteers welcome ;)

I have not looked at any of these variants yet, but I like to run full Vurts over SRO

Well done ... I'll give it a read over when I have some time.
