SKYRIMLE Transparent and Refracting Icicle and Frost Atronach by Skysan4298
z929669 replied to james4832's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Could someone post a screenie of the torch bug with the transparency meshes for gems and ice? This applies to three mods we have now in testing .... -
Anyone care to post screens of vanilla compares? Thi9s seems like a no brainer, but cannot say for sure unless there is a good difference. Also, the author claims that the vanilla gems glow in the dark and these do not. Evidence thereof would be nice, as the mod screens on Nexus show no vanilla compares :/

It seems that the TCG meshes dictate look of gems far more than do the textures, so if using this mod, the faceted gems don't care what textures they get (and neither do I). Also TCG does not replace all of the meshes, but only 7. the non-faceted 'gems' (i.e., stones) don't seem to be affected, and this is corroborated by the fact that there are only 7 mesh overwrites and 10 meshes (I think). BC is an improvement for circlets themselves, and NJ textures (for gems only) are better textures than vanilla and BC; however, TCG pretty much kills anything that any of the gem textures do. SO ... although I don't particularly like some of the overly-saturated colors that the TCG meshes impose, it does make faceted stones look like clear gems, which is preferable. I would vote that some of the parameters controlling colors in the meshes be revised, but I think hat we should be using BC (due to circlet textures) + TCG (due to gem meshes), and I have no preference for any of the gem textures. I also prefer krypto's moonstone 7 textures (wherever they are from)

Anyone know when the heck SKSE 1.7 will be out of Alpha?!?

cool, I'll give it a shot!

Relighting Skyrim in fact does enhance vanilla lighting without altering much other than quality. that is why it is the strongest contender for STEP. If you like vanilla lighting, then RLS is for you.

BP is part of Wrye Bash, so you will need to read the MO guide about adding WB as an executable and creating the BP. This is also detailed near the end of the STEP Guide.

You are somebody, but we need several somebody's that are willing to commit long term to the project ... and if you are willing, we'll be happy to begin training you, but the forum and wiki maintenance by far trumps establishment of any chat or IRC admin ;)
-
As the site grows, I think chat and IRC become more attractive to some users ... but I will almost never use them, and I have no interest in maintaining them. Furthermore, they need to be administrated consistently if we do have them, so I don't see it happening without dedicated personnel ... and those persons we need far more for the main project

My Riften dark issues were probably due to Dawn of Riften being installed in my load order. I had not thought to remove it after testing. I do continue to get morningfogs.ini in Riften though, even after leaving/revisiting. It seems to be the predoninant weather there, so not sure what is causing that.

Where is this?? Are you talking about NPC Enchants? I cannot find anything about a beta version of ASiSÂ ...

This mod is exactly the same as that implemented with ENB FPS limiter ... same method too. See the STEP guide for configuring ENBoost and graphics driver software to get rid of microstutter. Vsync does NOT cause microstutter. it completely cures it (by capping FPS) as well as vertical tearing. I have worked a lot with this lately and have several posts around here on the topic. The 2.2.8 guide has all of the recommendations for the correct setup. Basically, this mod (FPS limiter) is completely redundant, and there is no reason at all to use it. Follow the guide instructions and use ENBoost with vsync properly set, and don't use the FPS limiter in that mod either. I am pretty sure that ENBoost has built-in tri-buffering too. See the following post and links therein to learn more: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3455&pid=65488#pid65488

Since ENBoost is not specifically referenced, it should be understood to mean ENB graphics; however, we can add "(not for ENBoost only)"

ACCEPTED Better Shaped Weapons - BSW (by masterofshadows and LeanWolf)

Put it in the queue if you want. If it conflicts with DeLARP, then we should use the most comprehensive. -
We do maintain our own server, but new dev on a php (or other) handler for this specific task is not a priority. IPB may have a solution or even the tapatalk plugin, but it would seem like a difficult task to sort out anything other than "sent from.*$", which would likely mess with valid post content. IRC and chat functionality are likely overkill, as that requires persons to monitor and administrate. If you or anyone else would like to volunteer ... ? (we tried a chat before, but it was suboptimal)
-
The autotype needs a tweak ;) Anyway, it is a valid suggestion. Let's see how it plays out for now, because coding a handler would be out of scope of available resources.
