  1. HD Enhanced Terrain has been updated. Not sure which file we need anymore. EDIT: Sorry, I should have checked the other thread first. You are aware of this.
  2. Just so I'm clear, the SRO Textures are no longer recommended for this mod?
  3. As far as I'm concerned, Microsoft is as evil as a company as Bank of America and Verizon. On the other hand, I kind of hate Apple too. I think every huge corporation just eventually becomes a piece of sh** as profit-increases becomes the number one priority. It's unavoidable.Â
  4. Do you know what DX11.2 is even supposed to add? I'm pretty sure they're going to end up giving Windows 7 support for DX11.2. Apparently 11.1 used to be Windows 8 only but they made it Windows 7 too. I could be wrong on that so I'm sorry if I am. They're most likely just using DX11.2 as an incentive for people to upgrade to Windows 8. I personally don't feel like upgrading to Windows 8 and then spending hours trying to fix program and driver incompatibilities.Â
  5. Do games even use DX 11.2? I heard that you can only utilize DX11.2 with Windows 8. I currently use Windows 7 64-bit
  6. You guys lost me :-P. I"ll check the thread later when you have figured out a recommendation ha
  7. Now I'm confused again :-(. What happened!
  8. You do install the textures though, don't you? You install the SRO 512 textures.Â
  9. Makes sense to me. That's probably why they weren't recommended. At least now this record is in this thread so others with the same question (like me a few hours ago!) can find it.Â
  10. It's possible that the Normals were overwritten by a different LOD mod that was removed from STEP in the past? That's my guess as to why they aren't recommended.
  11. My fault. Please move this and my previous comment over or delete them.
  12. https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1586&pid=54594#pid54594Â The issues turned out not to be with the normals but with the 256 textures only! I messed it up earlier but see the HQLOD thread for the new test results. This mod has been so confusing to me for a long time and now I finally nailed it, and can actually use it again on all my installs (I had it disabled in my SR install as well because of the purple textures)Â So I think it's finally time for me to figure this out. Why does step only recommend downloading the meshes and SRO textures? Why not the normals too?
  13. But it was removed from 2.2.7, right? Are you talking about the upcoming 2.3.0 release?
  14. Wasn't disease descriptions removed from step?
  15. EDIT: Sorry, didnt' post correctly. I meant to say, yea, that mod is extremely confusing and I've always wondered why STEP only recommends the meshes.
  16. Also, if you check the 'wearable lanterns for caravans' nexus page, all the comments are people complaining about CTDs at night near caravans. I have also gotten this CTD. This should be removed. I thought I also read somewhere that Chesko was planning on discontinuing lanterns for guards/caravans because of this.
  17. Catalyst Application Profiles are used as mini-updates for both single and dual GPU systems. Therefore a CAP of 13.5 (the latest one) would provide no benefit over using the 13.11 beta drivers since those fixes and adjustments from 13.5 are already included.Well that would explain why they don't have it anymore. So I'm good with just the 13.11 beta? Awesome. Thanks.Â
  18. Looks interesting. I couldn't find it anywhere in the STEP forums. Sorry if it exists already. I didn't see it. I found this mod in the comments section of Langley's Dwemer Metal Retexture. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1197/?tab=1&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D1197%26preview%3D&pUp=1 ========== Description ========== This pack replaces the current in games reflection with my own made HD reflections. If you're like me and you like to dress up your companions in Ebony Armour or similar, this makes it look that much more better. ============================= Info : Environmental Cube Maps ============================= Skyrim's engine uses environmental cubemaps for reflections and spec on most shiny objects, but the maps are low rez and don't really contain a proper image. This serves an OK purpose in the sense that the reflection will always remain neutral whether indoors or out, but I prefer to see something in my reflections instead of an ambiguous shape. Another benefit is they don't have to create spec maps for every item, they can just link it to the cube map.
  19. Most likely due to Project ENB - Cinematic Preset I'm guessing! I really like Lydia's 'The Fu** you say to me?" pose in the background.
  20. What do you mean by Contrast?
  21. Which looks like that? This mod? Or the one that I posted?
  22. https://i.imgur.com/M8UHfuo.jpg
  23. Aiyen, any way you can do the same for the Non DG version? Also, I just want to confirm that removing ESS solved both the bright sun during snowstorm issue and the Clear Skies not working issue.Â
  24. Ok. I see. I forgot that there was a new Wizard made for it. I was looking at the folder structure manually. My fault on that one. You're using Dark Ice v2 PARALLAX, right? Are you using any of the optional less/more dark/bright options for that? I like your screenshot so I'm going to try your recommendations to see if it improves.Â
