Just to be clear, I was meaning the FOMOD compatibility options in the One Mountain installer. The reason I ask is because as Dunc mentions, the particle patch is included in Vividian, which we use. We also use Project Parallax. It mentions Project Parallax Remastered, but the meshes are the same in Remastered vs. Revived. Only the textures are different. This is why we have to hide the same meshes in both (the instructions never changed when the mod was changed). But that makes me wonder as well, simply because we hide meshes for Project Parallax...so would ticking compatibility for it be the correct thing? Also, we have everything overriding the ENB particle patch, but it is pretty low in the FOMOD options. I'm not sure if it might override some of the other options if you do tick that...

Hey Darth, I'm just wondering with One Mountain, should the Project Parallax patch and the ENB Particle Patch be installed as well?

Broken Loadscreen NIF in Vivid Landscapes
Nebulous112 replied to Taverius's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Oh for sure. I think the issue from what they are saying on the thread is more if you go crazy and NifHeal your whole load order. Then you might break stuff by "fixing" meshes that are already fine, and actually break them. But for known cases like these, it very likely 100% fine. And if it fixes the crash, you know it is good. :-) And NIF Healer is great for guys like you and me who don't know how to manually fix meshes. Well, more so me...I have never even opened up a mesh in NifSkope, or Maya, or anything. ;-) Lol. -
Broken Loadscreen NIF in Vivid Landscapes
Nebulous112 replied to Taverius's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Thank you for this, Taverius. :-) Edit: Also, to piggyback on your last comment, which makes sense: I think Arthmoor mentioned in that Reddit thread that he prefers to use Zilav's NifScan tool to scan the meshes (and he fixes them himself with NifSkope). Less false positives with NifScan apparently. Also, it's been mentioned before by Pretendeavor and others, but it is important to note with NifHealer that you have to rename the files, AND delete any that come out as 0KB. It is not a 100% accurate tool. -

Lol, Rustic Monuments and Tombstones updated again and reverted back to the previous FOMOD style (where you can choose individual 1K or 2K options for monuments and tombs). -

Hey Neo, I noticed that the Extended Rain Sounds from the Vivid Weathers FOMOD option are being overwritten by Lucidity Sound FX. Which mod do you advise we should keep the rain sounds from? -
Well, the plugin would be colored red in Wrye Bash because it is missing a master. Just right click it, and choose "create dummy master". Done. Edit: Thanks for the info, Zilav. :-)
-
No, I wouldn't change the master name in the file header. I'm not sure if you can even do that, to be honest. You should be able to download ELE 0.9.5b and install the Legendary+Falskaar+Wyrmstooth version. Having both shouldn't cause an issue if the the FormIDs match up (which I think they do, but you might want to double check). Just have them right after one another in the load order. Actually, if the FormIDs do all match up you could probably just use the Legendary + Wyrmstooth and Falskaar version and then run Wrye Bash, right click the STEP patch and create the dummy master for ELE Legendary. Disclaimer - I've never had to do this myself. But I think either would work (again, if the FormIDs match up).

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Nebulous112 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Is MO also installed outside of program files? Do you have MO or anything else set to run as administrator? If everything is outside of program files, make sure MO and everything else is NOT set to run as administrator. When everything tries to talk to each other, if one thing has higher privileges than another, this can also cause permissions issues. -

Speaking of the patches, I've made a custom version of the plugins from LucidAPs patches to include the items from the CACO Patches merge. If you decide to add that version, Neo, let me know and I can send you the plugin replacers if you want. I can combine both in the same plugin if that's easier as well. -

I think that version does more than just patch it, though. It gets rid of all the effects from the food. Personally, I like the look of the other patch. -
SMC is a really...subjective thing. I know some folks don't like it at all. I guess the same can be said of all mods, but yeah. Basically you are letting the program choose the textures you want instead of choosing them yourself. Not sure how well it would work with some mods where we delete some textures (like in SR:LE base). I've read about it, but I've never used it, so take what I am saying with a grain of salt. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I'll reply for you. Edit: Done, see here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4670010-cant-use-nexus-siteforummod-manager-problems-with-email/?p=40533840

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Nebulous112 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Maybe ask ICA what would be needed to get it to work. He's camping right now, but should be back in a couple days. Again, just like sirjesto, he's a pretty nice guy. -
Did the 32-bit Champollion fix the Dreadflopp CACO merge issue? Just curious, because I know a couple people mentioned it.

Nebulous112 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I don't think it would work with Legacy displays. -
Are you guys using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Champollion? Since Merge Plugins is being run through MO, you need 32-bit. Not sure if it has anything to do with the errors, but it might be worth double checking.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Nebulous112 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
There may be a way around it. Either moving your Steam with everything intact to a different part of the hard drive (best option), or somehow getting it to work in Program files (might be possible, again not advised with modding Skyrim). I'm not an expert on those things, though. Some others that monitor this thread may have some insight, however, so I wouldn't give up yet. If the only thing overwriting the werewolf skeleton is Moonlight Tales Essentials (from an SR:LE install, perhaps?), that is fine, as it works with XPMSE. Not sure about other skeletons though. -
I read about it on Reddit...a few different threads. And Nexus' tracking system has never worked for me, but I suspect that is because I have a gmail address (I read somewhere that Google blocks Nexus emails). However, I was able to initially register with Nexus using that address, so who knows. Maybe something got borked recently.

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Nebulous112 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
The FNIS page lists Error 5 as a permissions issue. Looking at your Skyrim filepath, I see it is installed in Program Files. This can cause such UAC issues. It is recommended to install MO and Skyrim both outside of Program Files to avoid such issues. Are you setup with Administrator rights on the machine? The name of the mod folder doesn't matter at all. You should make sure nothing is overriding the XP32 skeleton in the left pane, though (no conflicts indicated with a red - on a lightning bolt). As for the Merge Plugins issue...I ran into the same thing myself. I found that I had to wait for the background loader to finish before opening the integrations tab. Then the flag file was able to show up. -
FYI, for anyone wanting to use the 2K version - the FOMOD has an error that points both the regular and orange cast options to the 1K versions of the folders. I just PMed the mod author, so hopefully this can get fixed soon. For now, you can edit the ModuleConfig.xml file yourself to point to the right folders before you install if you want the 2K version.

Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition News
Nebulous112 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yeah, lots of ways Neo could do it. Keep the replacement pretty much as is (basically a merged version of both esp's with the master changed to NSUTR - Merged.esp). It would have to be updated, as there are some new entries for the BDS patch that Neo's version doesn't have, due to changes in the main mod from the update. Then we just don't install the BDS patch option. Or just make a copy of the plugins as is with the master changed on both of them to NSUTR - Merged. Or give us instructions to do this. Or just change the merge instructions for NSUTR to rename to Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp after merging, like RS Children or RWT. But then the CR would have to have it's master changed as well. :-P All sorts of fun, lol. We'll find out soon enough, I'm sure. :-) -
Spread the love hate around...? There's enough for everyone. :-D
