Merge Plugins Crashing
Nebulous112 replied to canadus's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Yeah, by default your mods are installed in "Mod Organizer/mods". Your downloads are by default in "Mod Organizer/downloads". Check it out on your machine. The thing that remembers the install is the text files and stuff with MO. I just copied my whole Skyrim Utilities folder including Mod Organizer and all the other stuff to my External Hard Drive. Like I said, when I put it back, I made sure I put it in the same address location. I also preemptively excluded the folder from my antivirus, otherwise it could remove some of the skse DLLs when transferring files back. -
Merge Plugins Crashing
Nebulous112 replied to canadus's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Yeah, it should work fine, for the most part. When I did it I put it back in the exact same spot. (D:/Games/Skyrim Utilities) You will still need to download Skyrim and the CK, and run them at least once outside of MO. You will need to fix the CK again. You will need to download ENB, SKSE and the SKSE plugin preloader again and install them. Your ENBLocal values will be different on Win10, so check out Neo's recommendation and set it up properly. Anything that runs from an installer, like LOOT (and depending on the version you chose, maybe Wrye Bash) should be deleted from your backup and reinstalled. Remember to get 32-bit and 64-bit Java again. In MO you will need to point SUM to the new Java location. You may need the DX9 runtimes as they don't all come with a clean Win 10 install. They are here. Running the first .exe file will extract them to a folder you want. Then open that folder and run dxsetup.exe. -
Merge Plugins Crashing

Yep, back it up to an external hard drive. That is what I just did. I had to do a clean Win 10 install as well after some things got screwed up. -
Merge Plugins Crashing
Nebulous112 replied to canadus's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Nothing should be run as administrator. Not MO, not Merge Plugins, none of it. Just make sure Steam, MO and Merge Plugins are outside of Program Files. It could be an issue with everything being run as administrator that one of the programs doesn't have rights to talk to the other. -
Merge Plugins Crashing
Nebulous112 replied to canadus's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Hmm, open Merge Plugins and check that it is set up correctly per Neo's guide. But the main reason you want to be there is on the Merging tab of the setup dialogue, there is a "verify file access" button. Click it and see if it says everything is OK. I think you have a permissions issue maybe. -

You need to do the same with RS Children. -
Merge Plugins Crashing
Nebulous112 replied to canadus's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Try and wait several seconds after the merge is completed before you close the dialogue window for the merge. I noticed when merging, it will say that it only takes maybe a second or two, but there will be a command prompt window open while it is copying assets, which takes longer. The only time I have ever had Merge Plugins crash was when I closed it when that command prompt window was still open. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD v2.16
Nebulous112 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Hishutup has fixed the errors with the Wyrmstooth plugin for Realistic Boat Bobbing. Download the hotfix from the RBB page under "Updates". This should fix the issue. -

Thanks for the WT hotfix, Hishy. -
Are you using the latest DynDOLOD v2.16? You may wish to post in the DynDOLOD thread here: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/5011-dynamic-distant-objects-lod-dyndolod-216/page-315?do=findComment&comment=176662 Sheson (the author) monitors that topic and will be able to help. Edit: I would have just moved the post for you but I didn't know if you would be able to find it afterword.

Error message while opening MO v1.3.11
Nebulous112 replied to Quahogs's question in Mod Organizer Support
Hmm, the "ssl" in the dll filename makes me think downloading this might fix it: Win32 OpenSSL v1.0.2h Light from here. That is the light version of the full OpenSSL library for Windows. I had some SSL errors with MO a while back and downloading that fixed it for me...I found this from an old link that GrantSP posted regarding this quite a while ago. I think another user recently posted a link for this as well and said it solved his SSL issues. -

Hearthfire multiple adoptions with SRLE

Yep, no issues. -
The original install...you mean the original install of Skyrim? You must be subscribed to some Steam mods. That may wreak havoc on your Skyrim install. STEP assumes a fresh install of Skyrim without any Steam workshop mods. I would suggest following this procedure to ensure your Skyrim is clean. You will have to follow the Skyrim Launcher step again afterword, as well as the SKSE and ENBoost steps, but your MO mods will be untouched. Do not delete Mod Organizer. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again

You are using v1.8 of The Dance of Death? How long ago did you get this mod? Must have been in 2012. On the Dance of Death page, the latest is v4.0 and was released in Feb 2013. Actually, looking at the page there is an "Ultimate Edition" that has support for Dawnguard and Dragonborn so you probably want that one. If you look at the files tab you can see the different versions. If you want VioLens, then install that instead (which I would recommend). And yeah, you can only use one Killmove mod as they conflict. So it is either Dance of Death (you probably want the Ultimate version) or VioLens.
-
Use the other file from the Dance of Death page, the Dawnguard Edition file instead of the one you have. However, you should use VioLens instead - it is better and much more up-to-date.

Nebulous112 replied to Resentic's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You may want to post in the Kitchen Sink pack thread. I don't know if anyone who reads the general support forum uses the Kitchen Sink pack. :-/ I wish I could help, but I really have no idea on what the exact cause could be. -
SKSE folder regenerated in Overwrite everytime I run Skyrim.
Nebulous112 replied to Ulvai's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I don't think it matters, but I am not 100%. My thought is it should act like any general mod that you use in multiple profiles - I don't think it is a specific set of files that is generated and needs to be seperated per profile like FNIS or something. You could always ask Chesko what exactly these files do, since these are all Chesko's mods. If you do ask him, please post back here with what he says. -
SKSE folder regenerated in Overwrite everytime I run Skyrim.
Nebulous112 replied to Ulvai's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yeah, you should be doing this, Dunc. Once you do it once they shouldn't show up in your overwrite folder again. -
SKSE folder regenerated in Overwrite everytime I run Skyrim.
Nebulous112 replied to Ulvai's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That is normal. It is the data from Wearable Lanterns, Frostfall and Campfire. Drag and drop each of the Data folders to their respective mods. MO should automatically add the SKSE/Plugins part in the mod. After you have dragged all the individual folders, delete the empty SKSE/Plugins folder from overwrite. -

Ok, so yeah, if you talk to Megaloblast he may want to add it to the main NLVA. Anyway, just an idea. It's your file, lol. Edit: I was just confused with the post about Tetrachromatic. :-P Or maybe you weren't even replying to me with that post? I don't know anymore. I need to go to bed. Lol. -

Nebulous112 replied to jdsmith2816's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I'm confused now, is your file for Tetrachromatic NLVA (Sovereign) by Slothability or regular NLVA by Megaloblast and Kojak747? I think it's for regular NLVA looking at the weather list, but I don't know that much about enbseries files. -

Mega link is above, Allustrias. @Monobloc Have you mentioned this to Megaloblast? He may want to incorporate it in the main NLVA or add it as an option. He's a pretty nice guy, and I'm sure he would appreciate it. :-)
