Uninstalling is completely unnecessary bash will detect your full installation as it is. also see my previous post
-
I've only ever changed the ..\Oblivion mods\ section to c:\games\skyrim mods\ and left the rest as default, perhaps that part is required/hardcoded? Edit: yep bash appends bash installers to whatever is in sOblivionMods and uses that as the installers directory.

ENB 110 Shadow Comparisons
frihyland replied to stoppingby4now's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
New videos for sun rays. First and Second. -
Thats a lot of special characters in your directory structure. E:\Games\Skyrim\Mods would be much preferred. Also remember the 255 character limit for a full path in windows.

We need to make a public spreadsheet that includes fields for all of that information at a glance, and then have people fill it in.

DROPPED Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification Project (by MadCat221)
frihyland replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice to see some more mesh mods coming out finally. These will finally put your gpu to use instead of VRAM and CPU that most other mods stress. -
DROPPED More Dynamic Shadows and Striping Fixed (by puuloo)
frihyland replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think a rewrite of point 7 is in order good sir, the english language seems to have gotten the best of you :P I won't even go into the irony The latest SVN of bash has the ability to convert UDR to disables, I have not tried it yet but it is fabulous news that things are progressing again! Also TES5Gecko is moving along nicely. -
DLC Wiki leads to CTD causing .bsa files
frihyland replied to seekles's question in General Skyrim LE Support
yeah, the automatic setting doesn't work when writing files just opening and the default is oblivion format. Set it to skyrim and forget it. The only changes are a few bytes in the header but it is enough to crash skyrim :( I had that in the wiki at one point, I'll put it back in. -
Download GPU-Z and tell us what your memory size is listed as, now click sensors tab, and check the log to file box, save it somewhere you can find it like your desktop. Now leave that running and play Skyrim, start a new game and watch the intro sequence in the cart and exit after the dragon saves you, now take a look at gpu-z and see what your highest memory used reading is and also the average memory use. You can also examine the log for second by second listing of all used resources.

SKYRIMLE Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival (by Chesko)
frihyland replied to Vond's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It's not that new ones will break your savegames, its that the old ones will. You can never remove those from your savegame. Just keep what you have and skip installing any similar mods included in STEP. If you find your game already getting buggy you can try this procedure and it may help a bit. -
GUIDE Skyrim Installation Guide

Lots of updates all over the guide. -
DLC Wiki leads to CTD causing .bsa files
frihyland replied to seekles's question in General Skyrim LE Support
How are you loading the bsa's? and how large are they? 2GB is maximum size supported by skyrim. Lots of updates to the wiki. -
Shadow flickering, see through hands, etc.
frihyland replied to sasquatchjc's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I would uninstal RCRN that should fix your shadow and lighting problems, no clue about the book and hands. XCE and Realistic Paper are the mods that affect those but I haven't heard of a single issue with those mods in 4 months of use. At a guess I'd say its your ini that is messing those up, try renaming both ini files in mydocs/mygames/skyrim and see if that fixes your issues. -

I don't include directions for how to use ddsopt or bsaopt, you will need to read the documents for those. I'll add that to the wiki. I use bash personally so I just zip them up in bain format instead of repacking to bsa. -
Each mod should be checked inside Bash (and later tes5gecko and tes5edit when they are available) for errors in the structure of the esp/esm, up to the limits of the program. Each mod should be run in skyrim in full debug mode and the log posted with the review.

This is pretty standard behavior for logging in to any sight. You may also be having issues due to your browser settings or plugins.

DROPPED Project Parallax - Solitude (by Osmodius)
frihyland replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If your are installing according to STEP grab the 2k version, if like many of us you are using only SRO or installing SRO after 2k than the SRO version works just fine. -
Stumped. Huge FPS drop - No config change
frihyland replied to Holymartyr's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Is your disk more than 80% full? windows starts slowing down after the disk hits about 70% and takes a nose dive at 80% and over regardless of disk size. Its the main reason windows should always be on its own disk thats mostly empty. Stupid Microsoft... sometimes it feels like voodoo to keep the system working optimal Is it just skyrim thats slow or is your whole system slower? try running other applications or games that would stress it and see. -
Not a bad idea. Still waiting on the mod that allow me to write my own journal, and add notes to map and quests.

SKYRIMLE Height Adjusted Races with True Giants (by EvilDeadAsh34)
frihyland replied to Lumaan's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think it would make a fine addition to a lore friendly racial/creature pack if we can fix or avoid and bugs/compatibility issues. -
SKYRIMLE Project Parallax - Rocks and Mountains
frihyland replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It will be similar to the hit you get from SMIM or Parallax Whiterun, etc... it takes more GPU power to render the more complex meshes. Any place that includes a large amount of these more complex meshes is going to lower fps, but its just gonna be specific places not everywhere. -
Well it used to be, but that was a few dozen versions ago, time to retest the limiter I'd say. (Assuming you can't find a utility to adjust your driver to do it for you).
