  1. Where does he get the snow textures on the roofs and porches from? Are they just picking up whatever texture replacer you are using or is it a custom texture? If he is using custom textures, there may be conflicts with some of the other Snow replacers.
  2. Serenity ENB recommends dropping CoT and RLO because it does the same work itself. It appears to be a very dark ENB in interiors though.
  3. I see RLO is marked as incompatible as well as CoT. I think this is one of those mods we will have to try with an open mind because we are so used to needing things like CoT and RLO to get lighting and weather looking good that it is difficult to accept something new and different. My first question... are the nights and and shadows as dark as the screenshots imply? Would you rate this ENB as Lantern/Torch Mandatory?
  4. It would have only been for the Inventory view where you can see some stretching at higher resolutions such as 1440p. The World views are 1024x512 texture and 512z256 normals. I agree these are completely appropriate for their use. The Inventory texture is also 1024x512 with a 1024x512 normal. I would have preferred a larger texture for that view but it was just not feasible since there are 420 books and about 120 journals.
  5. One other bit of good news regarding Book Covers Skyrim is that I consider the mod functionally complete now. Barring hotfixes, I have done practically everything to it that I wanted to or can do within the constraints of Free Stock from the internet. Folks have asked for higher resolution textures and while I would love to do 2048x1024 Books and Journals, I simply cannot find enough stock to make it possible. The Oblivion Book Covers that were brought into the mod were only at 1024x512 so would also have to be reconstructed from scratch. My next focus for Books in Skyrim will be covers for the Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion books that never made it into Skyrim. I am planning an Optional mod with no prerequisites or dependencies that will cover the titles that the Tamriel Compendium does and possibly some of the Books Books Books extra material if I can find the original source in the wiki. I will not be reusing the Nexus material in either of those mods because what I intend to produce will effectively render them redundant and I do not consider it fair to an author to ask for permission to use prior work from the Nexus knowing that I will be completely replacing their mod. My timescale for this project is fairly long and it will sit alongside Book Covers Skyrim as a separate mod. EDIT : I should add that Xathra has an excellent and up to date SkyRe patch for the Book Covers mod. I know I have made one available in my Compatibility Patch Collection but Xathra's work is superb.
  6. Only the Note papers which now all have their own custom textures... unless you also install my optional paper texture. When I looked at the HQ Paper mod, I loved the effect but noticed that the textures could be optimised. I took the decision to release an optional download that would provide new paper textures for the book and journal pages and edges but would not touch anything else that HQ Paper improved. My personal Load Order for these three goes like this... - Book Covers Skyrim - HQ Paper - Book Covers Skyrim Optional Paper Textures
  7. Boris will freak out if it is an nVidia driver issue.
  8. Ah well, it looks like it will be a single card after all. I was concerned whether one card would be able to keep up with an ENB at 1440p but I will load up the case with the full compliment of radiators and overclock the bejeezus out of it then. Thanks folks - consider the issue closed.
  9. Just an update for those kind folks who helped with my initial query... I am currently assembling a water-cooled PC based on a 4770K and a (currently) single 780 Ti 3Gb and will be playing Skyrim at 1440p with ENB. I have the option in the near future to add a second 780 Ti 3Gb but I am still on the fence about whether to do this or not due to the reported Skyrim/SLI issues. Having seen how Skyrim looks at 1440p with an ENB I am certain that I want to play that way. I expect (subject to the silicon lottery) that I will be able to get the 4770K up to around 4.5GHz or so on water and the 780 Ti has a full cover block too so can be overclocked by around 20%. With the most recent ENB dlls (0.250+) what are your current opinions on either sticking with a single card but accepting lower frame rates over going for SLI but accepting the few residual issues (water flicker and no HDR)? Cash is not a consideration here - just the Skyrim experience at 1440p with ENB.
  10. Book Covers Skyrim is now compliant with the latest Unofficial Patch downloads. The main changes were Assassin's Writ (DG) to stop a script triggering and some spelling corrections to Beggar Prince and the Thalmor Execution Order.
  11. I am aware of some Unofficial Skyrim Patch changes which affect the Book Covers Skyrim mod - I will be releasing an update to reflect the changes shortly. EDIT : I have just had a look at these changes and they are very minor. Beggar Prince has the word "a" removed and the Thalmor Execution Note has one word capiltalised. Rather than releasing a hotfix at the moment I will make the changes to my master copy and hold them until the next full release of Book Covers Skyrim is ready which should not be too long.
  12. I would not get into the habit of posting the CR Patch.esp... this guide is more about education than spoon-feeding. If someone wants to mod Skyrim this much, they should LEARN how to mod Skyrim this much.
  13. The inside of the Imperial Shield is seriously in need of some Cabal loving' too! I hope it is in some future To Do list.
  14. The Therion ENB for the 0.250 DLL has appeared on the Nexus... https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50697 At a first glance it looks like a possible alternative to Unreal Cinema although you may need to modify the DOF and Film Grain. It appears to have slightly muted colours with some sepia
  15. That is good to hear - it is a shame when nice mods vanish with no warning.
  16. I really wish authors would say why something was hidden.
  17. You would have to be careful using Unrelenting Force in a marketplace because flying cheeses, garlic and bottles would kill everyone!
  18. I understand there was already a very good SKYRE compatibility collection by Xathra which handled the SKYRE stuff which was why nobody had asked for SKYRE patches for Book Covers so you can choose which to use. I had already done the BSQBN+SKYRE combined patch before I was informed. Today I added the Non-Automatic Skill Books patch for both the Better (with skill prefix) and Normal versions.
  19. Yup - the Complete Crafting one only changes the text of three books to cope with renamed raw materials. TCIY amends one Note. I have recently added support for Non-Automatic Skill Books and will soon be helping REZ Sorting Mod get a little more exposure.
  20. One thing that I think is new and may shake up the Oblivion mods and guide is that we now appear to have a working ENB for Oblivion too - Boris has the details on his enbdev site. I don't know if this is old news but it was a surprise to me. Oh, and I think I remember someone saying that Oblivion only has a two level LOD whereas Skyrim uses 3 levels of LOD.
  21. You can edit the DOF or you could turn it off and use Dynavision on Low.
  22. Gopher has just showcased Phinix Natural ENB.. [video=youtube]
  23. It is most likely to be BOSS - they have frozen the master list for a while.
  24. BOSS is under lockdown at the moment while they update to the next version - we will have to use BUM for now.
  25. One thing to check before whacking up the grids is what resolution you are playing at. For 1080p, go for it but if you are at 1440p I would stick to 7 ugrids and maybe dial back the AA somewhat. With 1440p the AA is less noticeable. In a couple of weeks I will be able to give another datapoint when my new PC is built - it will be a 4770K, 780 Ti, 16Gb on a 1440p monitor. Since it will be fully water-cooled I will be pushing a good over clock too. I am watching the SR:LE ENB discussion with interest since Unreal Cinema is now behind. It may be time to dive into the ENB .fx files to learn how they work.
