  1. Techangel, I believe that the reason that the Dark Brotherhood Forever mod was removed was because it removed some of the settings for the quest, and because Better Quest Objectives offers a better version of it now.
  2. HQ Milky Way galaxy was removed because it was quite immersion/lore breaking to have the Milky Way in Skyrim. I assume that Smaller Crosshair was removed because it breaks the coloured compass icons in Not Another Colored Map Icon Mod. So what will be in the sky instead? Just stars and the moons? We should see if there is a mod that makes a galaxy that does not look like the milky way. Actually, why assume that it is even the milky way? Many galaxies look like the milky way. Doesn't mean it needs to be THIS galaxy. It was discussed over here: https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=1589 It was decided that the galaxy included in the HRDLC and Skyrim HD looked better than the Milky Way one. I assume that the Skyrim HD one will be used normally, as it comes with the download. But people can obvious delete the texture from that to use the HRDLC one, or install their own one over the time. It is only a texture file or two, after all. Edit: Oops, Eilian's post wasn't here when I was typing mine out. Guess it makes most of what I said redundant.

  4. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3183 Putting this mod forward because it offers more customization for the max amount of hours than the existing STEP mod for this does, as well as it fitting with the vanilla/Sky UI aesthetic. The downside of this mod to the existing one is that it's harder to wait a specific amount of time if you have the max hours set to a high level compared to the current STEP mod, but I don't see people needing to wait/sleep 2 weeks or something ingame. In addition, the real world time waited/slept seems to be pretty similar between the two mods, so that shouldn't be an issue either. I haven't tested this personally myself, as my Skyrim decided to break and I'm in the process of setting it back up as we speak, but I plan to use this when I have it all set back up. Eilian did test this however, and I summed up what was said in the above paragraph.
  5. Can we get a current decision from another admin on whether this should be removed or not?
  6. Should a thread for the "Sleep Wait Menu - 48 hours" mod be created in the Mod Suggestions forums?
  7. I've just noticed something on the wiki page for this mod. It says: "Note: You only need to run Fore's New Idles for Skyrim if you are using the Maximum Skeleton, or if you are using other mods that support/require Fore's New Idles. Otherwise, you can use the optional non-FNIS patch on the Maximum Skeleton page." Is there any point in having that last note about the non-FNIS patch? If you're not using Maximum Skeleton, you're not going to be downloading anything related to Maximum Skeleton, so why would you need to download a non-FNIS patch?
  8. Well, the download includes a readme of sorts, that tells you how to edit the file, and also includes how high the guy tested it. In this file, it says that it took the guy more than 16 minutes to wait 999 hours/41 days. This roughly matches up with what people said about the NBWM mod, which I think said it takes 12 minutes to wait 31 days.
  9. I didn't, as I've been doing stuff that's been stopping me from playing games. In theory, they should be the same, but I'll have a look when I can, unless someone beats me to it.
  10. Well, I found this mod. It keeps the same style as the default UI, but it comes with a config file so that you can decide the max hours you can wait/sleep. Apparently, the creator tested it up to 999 hours, and only didn't test higher because they got bored. Perhaps this could be a replacement, with either a suggestion to change the max hours or a download with that file?
  11. So if we were to get a replacement for this mod, what would be wanted of it?
  12. The file for the normal map of the Expert/Master robes are missing (file name looks like it should be OMageMale_Neutral_Lvl4_n.dd), and the Adept Conjuration/Destruction/Restoration Robe texture sets list the Alteration normal map instead of the appropriate ones (they all use OMage_Alteration_lvl3_n.dds instead of the ones with the right name). The Adept Robe texture set lists the Adept Restoration Robe texture set instead of the Neutral one (OMage_Restoration_lvl3_d.dds instead of OMage_Neutral_lvl301.dds). A lot of these just look like they weren't spotted when the texture sets for them were made, so they're not that unusual. With the mismatched normal maps, the Expert robes use the normal map that mirrors the Master robes, which can lead to odd looking lighting in the areas of the Expert textures that differ to the Master ones.
  13. Well I've been using this lately, and I'm not sure that it's suited for STEP. The colours are pretty bright with the vanilla lighting, and some parts of the textures look like they're just solid colour. I've also noticed missing textures, texture sets referring to the wrong textures, and textures using normal maps that don't fit the model.
  14. I believe that FNIS is being included in the next version of STEP anyway, due to issues with custom skeletons and Dragonborn, so that patch you listed won't be needed any more anyway.
  15. Well I've been using this without any issues. There are compatibility patches for other STEP mods, including the Lightning during Storms mod (or whatever it's called), and all three Sounds of Skyrim mods.
  16. That is actually a really weird bug, I've just tested it out on my end, and the cursor reappears like normal when I alt tab out of Skyrim.
  17. Are you using Simple Borderless Window? If so, that sometimes has a bug where the mouse cursor is hidden in Windows as well. The solutions I've found for it are getting the Double Cursor Fix/Borderless Window mods (they're in the mod testing section if that helps), or if you want to keep using SBW, then whenever you get the issue, change your Windows theme.
  18. I'm not a massive fan of the BCS textures, but I like the idea they've done. Basically a good idea, bad execution.
  19. I don't use this personally, but I've noticed that it can't be used with Realistic Lighting Overhaul, so the choice between them would have to be made if one of them were to be included in STEP or added in a similar fashion to Climates of Tamriel.
  20. I've been happily using this mod since I first found it, and I've had no issues with it. Though...shouldn't we make sure that the listing for it is consistent with other mods? We have some mods, like Unique Region Names, where the Dragonborn part of it is a separate file and listed in the notes (it should probably be actually linked), but then other mods, like XCE-Dawnguard, which is listed as a normal mod in the guide, instead of in the notes for XCE.
  21. I believe this is an issue with the Maximum Skeleton mod, there was a version released recently that caused this. Downloading the latest version and making sure that you don't install the skeleton for the Joy of Perspective mod should fix it.
  22. I've never had any issue with this either.
  23. It's a page full of links to individual mods you download. You install them all in the order it says.
  24. Just to be clear, is that this weekend or next weekend?
  25. Looking at it in TES5Edit, it does just edit the DBF quest.
