  1. I haven't experienced any issues with this one either.
  2. I think you both make good arguments for including this in Core and I have no objections if you think this fits into Core.
  3. I grew up in the South with all the Southern hospitality as well. Yes sir, No ma'am, holding doors for other people, even waving at people as we pass each other on the road. People in some of the other states I've lived in are downright offended or afraid of such behavior. I remember when I was in my mid 20s I waved to a couple walking down the road (I think it might have been Chicago or New Jersey up north) and I literally thought they were about to call the cops thinking I was some kind of axe murderer. I didn't mean anything by it... by then it was just a habit to acknowledge other people. I don't hold the door because of your gender. I hold the door because I was taught it is the polite thing to do and so it doesn't smack you in the face when I let go. Over the course of my life, I have seen kindness and common courtesy fly right out the window. When I was in elementary school, we didn't worry about locking our doors at night. We knew all our neighbors on a first-name basis. Today I do not leave any windows or doors unlocked ever and I couldn't tell you the names of three of my neighbors. Three times in the past two years someone has tried to bust open the front door. Very few people leave a gap at a traffic light to let other cars turn into traffic. Today it seems to be all about me and my need for instant gratification.
  4. If you're running the game from Mod Organizer, go into Configure Profiles and check Local Saves. If you do this, the save files are stored in Mod Organizer's Profiles\[profile name]\Saves folder instead of in Users/Documents/My Games/Skyrim.
  5. Thanks for the information and for all the tremendous work you put into your mods.
  6. Well, based on this I vote yes for Northfire Skidmarks.
  7. I've been using this in my STEP Extended testing profile and it's a definite improvement over the vanilla skidmarks. I think someone mentioned earlier that Langley's also includes skidmarks, but I haven't look at Langley's skidmarks.
  8. TDN Vampire Armor Retexture is a fine choice and it looks really good in the game, but I do prefer Gamwich's vampire armor in Rustic Clothing. There's just something about Gamwich's version that seems more realistic and pleasing to me.
  9. Skyrim just isn't the same without Realistic Boat Bobbing, so I vote yes. YES!
  10. No, Groovtama explains it fairly well on Page 3 in this thread. The Skeleton Rig Map (HDT) option is the default skeleton rig map that supports HDT physics. The None option installs an older XPMSE 1.9 skeleton rig map for backwards compatibility with older animations but Groovtama does not recommend using this older skeleton rig map.
  11. I've been using this one in my STEP Extended testing profile for a while and I really like it, so I vote yes.
  12. Helpful suggestions are always welcome. Speaking of which... I just noticed the original post suggests installing selecting None for the Skeleton Rig Map option. I recommend changing this to Skeleton Rig Map (HDT) since the None option installs a much older skeleton rig map that might introduce compatibility issues.
  13. The description might not be as clear as it could be, but Skeleton Rig Map (HDT) is the latest skeleton that supports the optional HDT Physics Extension and HDT Soft Mesh Physics extension, but it does not require either. The None option installs an older skeleton rig map from XMPSE 1.9 that is provided for backwards compatibility if you want to install and use older animations that require the older rig map but it's not recommended. If you read the description of the None option closely (emphasis mine): If you go back to Page 3 of this topic, Groovtama explains this a bit.
  14. This happens to me on occasion and I think it's primarily on the big threads. I click "Go to first unread post" and it takes me to a seemingly random page from several months ago with the "Go to first unread post" link still visible. Go to the top of the page and click it again and it goes a bit further into the history. I don't remember clicking it more than two or three times to see what happens. I usually just go to the last page and backtrack through previous pages to find unread posts. You might also keep an eye on the posts when it takes you to the first post on the last page. When it does this, it may have skipped new posts on the previous page.
  15. These are the options I select when I install XMPSE. Also note that selecting None for the animation options on the fifth page installs the default XPMSE animations instead of the Archery Gamplay Overhaul or Pretty Combat Animations optional animations. Skeleton Rig Map: Skeleton Rig Map (HDT) Character Creation Menus: XPMSE3 Plugin (checked by default) and nothing else Style Randomizer: None Base Animations: Alternate Animates and Default Animation Reset Magic Stuff Options: None Belt-Fastened Quivers Animation: None Dagger on Hip Animations: None Dagger on Back Animations: None Dagger on Back Dual Animations: None Sword on Hip Dual Animations: None Sword on Back Single Animations: None Sword on Back Dual Animations: None Extended Monster Skeletons: Check everything First Person Skeletons: None First Person Animations (Bugged): None Mounted Combat Animations (Bugged): None
  16. STEP is currently using XP32 Maximum Skeleton that does not support the swords on back version. XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended is currently in testing as a possible replacement for use in future guides. You can safely install XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended with the swords on back selection in place of XP32 Maximum Skeleton. I think you'll need to select the swords on back option in Dual Sheath Redux as well.
  17. I haven't gotten around to using Ordinator yet so I really can't say one way or the other. The mod page has this on compatibility with Stealth Skills Rebalanced: Ordinator is on my list of mods to eventually use if I can find the time to get to it, but it may be a while with my current workload.
  18. Generally I just move such files to a mod like FNIS Output so it doesn't go into overwrite again.
  19. Turning off smelter experience is definitely a good idea, although if I'm not mistaken I think this disabled by default in CCO. If this enabled, I can loot all the coins in a dungeon and easily level up smithing four or five times just by smelting the looted coins into ingots. It seems the ratio is something like one level to one ingot in vanilla, even though learning how to melt stuff has nothing to do with learning how to smith. You might also consider using Kryptopy's Stealth Skills Rebalanced to balance stealth skills and improve stealth AI. This one brings some reality to sneak skills in that the player is easier to see in daylight or when wearing bright armor/clothing, easier to hear when wearing loud heavy armor, and the NPCs search longer and further out than vanilla. It's not uncommon to have five or six NPCs searching for the player in a dungeon or cave. This one is a permanent fixture in my load order.
  20. You might try renaming or deleting the Users/[username]/AppData/Local/LOOT folder to see if something here is corrupt and adding --game=Skyrim to the argument list for LOOT. I somehow doubt either of these is the issue, though. I think the better options are to verify anti-virus software isn't interfering with LOOT and that this isn't a permission issue (e.g. LOOT, Mod Organizer, or Skyrim is installed in Program Files or Program Files (x86). You might also try running LOOT outside Mod Organizer to verify this works.
  21. The first step is to run SkyrimLauncher.exe so it can detect your video settings and create the default INI files and registry entries for the game. If you have enboost installed, you'll also need to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) update.
  22. You might temporarily disable any anti-virus software to make sure it isn't getting in the way.
  23. I'd run BethINI at the beginning of the guide because this sets the groundwork for performance, quality visual rendering, and stability. After you run BethINI, you may need to set the grass type to 7 for Skyrim Flora Overhaul per the guide. I have 1900x1200 displays so I use 2K textures where available. I think this depends on your comfort level. The first few times I installed STEP Extended, I installed STEP Extended exactly per the guide using the higher resolution 2K textures where available and then tested it in game to make sure everything is stable. Then I installed Vividian ENB as a new mod, ran Wrye Bash to rebuild the bashed patch, and reran DynDOLOD to regenerate the textures and worlds. As TechAngel notes, there are a few mods like Real Water Two that have an ENB variant that you can install as you go through the guide.
  24. Are there any files in the BSAs that have not been extracted as loose files for the game to use?
  25. I apologize for the confusion. I just looked again and it looks as if you posted mo_interface.log. There should be other logs named something like ModOrganizer_16_08_22_01_18.log that contains the relevant information we need.
