Parallax is also for the above water stuff that many care about. :P And Bro.... yes just let the textures overwrite.. go in and see if you like what you see! Just be prepared for a performance hit.

Modding is about learning to get what you want into the game. If you do not like a certain mod, do not use it! The guide is mainly just a help to people who want a light mod setup that enhances on the vanilla, without altering the game. While doing it you will learn some of the things you need to get a more detailed mod list working in the future if that is what you want.
-
The water mods contain corrected meshes, so no need for the particle patch in that case. It does fix alot of other meshes that most mods do not touch. Also fire mods use the same settings to fix the meshes there as well. If a mod states that it has fixed the shader flags then you do not need this, otherwise you do... if you use ENB. Or you will get odd glowing in various locations.

Yeah.. that is not correct :P 1: Open T5E with only DCO and Req .esp´s selected. It will also load in the Skyrim.esm and the DB.esm´s etc. Select the first red entry you can find. 2: Whichever is furthest to the right in the coloum view (right pane) is what has priority and will get loaded. You take whichever is furthest, right click that and "Copy as override into" and create a new file. Say yes to make the masters. You now have a new file furthest to the right... this is the patch! 3: Copy the conflicting entries from the mod next to the one you just clicked into the new patch you just made. Say yes to make the new mod a master as well. 4: Keep doing this until there are no more red entries. 5: To make sure when you are done in the left overview pane select the .esp´s and then press *. This will unfold everything, and now you can scroll down and make sure that there are no red entries remaining in any sub categories etc. I hope that was a bit more clear. Otherwise just let me know and I guess I can make one even more detailed. The most vital thing to remember when using T5E is that... that only the entries in the furthest right column is used ingame!
-
Then once you have done it a million times you get annoyed with the extra clicks required to make a patch, and just alter the mods .esp itself.. since its faster when you know what you are doing! :)
-
The texture path is set on the individual meshes.. the ending of texture names is just for helping out... they are not really needed.
-
A: will only happen if you do not have the masters enabled while starting... in this case Req and DCO. B: This can always happen... since it is a script based mod put on top of a major overhaul. C: Will only happen if you do not get all of the conflicts. When loading only DCO and Req then there will be a color change visible for all conflicts, most likely red or orange, since DCO links to non defeault game additions. D: Yeah or perhaps the dragon will break out of your monitor, eat your sandwich and go back in! :o
-
DCO patches are fairly simple to create. You need to forward any changes it makes! Since all of his scripts require the settings he put in. So in T5E you find conflicts while looking in DCO.esp. Then right click the Req.esp coloum and put them into a new .esp. Then copy over the DCO.esp conflicting entries and voila. Do this for every conflict and you should be good to go.

I just started using my CoT overhaul to help blur the medium/far distance etc. so that there are not that many sharp edges.... I know some people cant stand it, but I personally cant stand super sharp textures in the distance. On my end then most of the time the loading of new cells is so fast that the default ultra fade distances seems to be able to keep up. Only huge stuff like forts etc. pop into view when they change from the LOD to the near... but this is essentially impossible to fix without higher ugrids.

SKYRIMLE Better Xbox360 Controller - 8 hotkeys quicksave -load and more
Aiyen replied to Ubeogesh's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Depends on how the game is designed... Nintendo only works because the games are built around it. This is however also part of the problem with shitty console ports... where they do not spend enough time making sure the game becomes useable with a keyboard and mouse. They just reassign some buttons and hope it works... No fixing weird camera angels and controls etc. so they make sense... -
SKYRIMLE Dual Dagger Power Attack Speed Fix (by Alek)
Aiyen replied to hellanios's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There was some reason I was not using this... Either it conflicted with the skeleton animations I use, or it conflicted with the combat mods I used.... cant remember which. -
Start with grass draw distances, and density for increases in performance. If that is not enough then move on to object draw distances. Even small decreases in them can provide a few FPS. Grass density can provide massive boosts. Shadow distances provide some but nowhere near what the others are. Here of course assuming you are only using 1k resolution on your shadows to begin with.

There are also ergonomic mouses and keyboards.... does not mean that they are good to use for gaming.... or in general for that matter. -
You can also be very sure that if there was going to be a release, then the marketing would already have started since we are so close to Christmas.

Never found controllers comfortable at all.... after a few hours my fingers start to hurt using them. But well in that way we are different. Nice that there is a mod that caters to those who prefer it. -
That is not saying much, since Skyrim vanilla combat is fairly bad! :) But its an MMO, it needs to be button mashing friendly or it is never going to appeal to the mainstream.

Also you are not going to get rid of learning some basic command lines. It just makes certain tasks much easier. Even when drivers are involved!

[Role Playing] Your Skyrim characters
Aiyen replied to rootsrat's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Most likely it would not be worth the hassle, since if you do that sort of change you have to find an interior and wait there for a month to make sure that all changes are overwritten everywhere. Would really ruin the immersion more then a season less skyrim. -

SKYRIMLE Glorious Daedric Retexture by Gloriouz

Most of the time its other people who upload the ENB screenshots! And in most cases its just because it makes their textures look more awesome. Its like skin textures... they are almost ALWAYS using either Unreal, or Sombre ENB for their shots, because those ENB´s just make skin look really epic. As for this one... I recall viewing it a while back, but I do not recall why I did not like it. Too many mods, too little time. Think its because I really do like the one I have now that was used in SR.... I liked the red color to it... made it stand out and look somewhat cool. Might require a bit of desaturation but that is easy enough. -
Yeah ubuntu hands down...Its easy and unless you have some weird hardware then it also gets the drivers mostly right without any fuss! Also I know that ubuntu does this, but I am sure other distro´s do it as well and let you trial out the OS from their disk before you install it. Its a nice feature.

Where is the best place to see the moon(s) at night?
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's topic in Step Banter Inn
It creates a new game with a default character at the start of the games calender... which is when there are two full moons. -

open the console from the main menu. type "coc riverwood" You can replace riverwood with any other cell... If you type "help whiterun" for example you get a list of all game elements with the word whiterun in it. Now if you scroll that list up using the pgup and pgdown buttons, then you will eventually get to the elements that have CELL in front of them. Those names you can replace riverwood with above. Example coc whiterundragonsreach Will place you inside the front door of dragonsreach. Damn you Root! :P -
Since the textures are applied on a large number of meshes with different stretch amounts etc. Then it is almost impossible to make a parallax texture that will be 100% spot on for all cases. There will be the odd case of texture stretching etc. If you are using the ELFX meshes then perhaps one of those are the cause. If you are using Amidianborn then you should also be using his parallax textures, since his textures deviate from the vanilla ones that remastered is made to work with.

Anything with _A at the end have auroras on yes. Also if you start the game with using coc then you will get full moons on both of them.
