  1. As long as you got the mods folder and the profiles folder with you then you can load up the profile you created with all mods ready to go. You need to run the game to generate ini files before starting the game though MO first though.... if I recall correctly, have been quite some time since I had to do a reinstall.
  2. My sole reason for not using the BSA´s is that I actually edit files quite often be it textures or meshes etc... and I prefer to have all files as loose. That said then the debate of BSA vs loose files have been going on for a long long time. Other then slight differences in loading times depending on hardware then I have never seen any reliable tests on the topic... And the differences are mostly so small that the main reason to do it is not because of that, but mainly if you want the convenience when you want to edit files. For end users who do not make altered versions of their files then using archives should be the way to go I guess. If the feature was not in MO then it would be in another tool that is easy to use as well. As long as MO does not force one to use BSA then I do not see the issue. (Most likely I would not really be affected in many ways since I stick to older versions of MO regardless... I do not have bugs with the version I use atm, and all features work as they should.)
  3. Got to admit that while I see what you mean.... sort of. Then it really seems like you are putting way too much effort into it! Top window says what this mod overrides. bottom says what overrrides it. The only thing I ever wanted on that list was perhaps a bit different layout so it became a bit easier to get an overview. But not really sure how it could be improved much... hence why I never made a request for it.
  4. Phazer11: Hehe well I have also seen images of motherboards that got damaged due to the 3kg cooling blocks not being mounted properly... But yeah it can happen.. just highly unlikely. Overall Air vs water come down to.... water many times more effective at moving heat around. Which allow a more silent system since the pump and radiator setups can be equally smaller. Modern air coolers can do a really great job and use some fancy setups to maximize the efficiency. But in general it means going for massive blocks of metal that will take up the entire space in the cabinet preventing more or less all air flow.... also it is rather annoying to clean imo.. but then again I really dislike the good ol dusting out from time to time! (Currently I am using intel stock coolers etc in my system due to a lack of money!) The main obstacle is that the price tag is overall much higher then air coolers. But if that is not an issue then one might as well go for it. In the case of leaking then it is almost always very little and only in the interface between CPU/GPU and then very small drops.. that normally evaporate rather quickly. However if they do then most quality components have good many year warrenties that cover that.. at least the GPU´s with pre mounted water cooling interfaces. As for what I was looking for.. then I would have to dig it up later, as I recall then it was from a german company which specialize in making custom water cooling setups.
  5. I fail to see how a pump is a drawback of watercooling lol... kinda the central item for the entire thing to work. Also the stuff about leaking and changing water... that is only if you go for the older systems. The modern ones are fully sealed and the only way they would ever leak is if you cut the hoses with a sharp object. As for refilling then most modern ones are also fully closed loops that come prefilled where the only thing you have to do is plug it on the GPU/CPU and voila you are good to go for a long time. As I recall the ones that require refill are mostly if you want to have UV reacting fluids so you can get a fancy glowing case. I know I got my eye on a fully passive cooled system designed to cool SLI setups. It is custom made though, so quite expensive. But I keep hoping that it will get cheaper the longer I wait! :)
  6. If you do not care much for the upfront cost then first off a few pointers. A: Get a min. gold certified PSU... they cost more up front, but during their life time (5-10 in your case) then they will have paid themselves home... unless you live in a place where power is free ofc. Platinum is most likely overdoing it in most cases though. B: Decide early if you want to go multicard or not. The performance boost from the 2nd card is not x2! So always be aware that you are throwing a very large amount of cash after something that only gives you between 10-40% of the first card depending on application. Also the price of the PSU goes up by quite a bit when you go multi! So all in all you pay a really high premium for going multicard, and the ongoing power bill is also going to be much higher... The cards eat the full amount of power but you do not get the full relative performance! C: Go watercooled components if you can. Less heat = better running stuff, for a longer period of time! It cost more up front, but it should pay itself home again during the lifetime of the components. Also... much less noise which is always a bonus. D: Get a quality motherboard... if nothing else just that! It is almost always worth it to spend extra on the motherboard and PSU that cannot be stressed enough! After those then you can mix and match as you want.. read all the reviews and make an informed decision... yes there are many many many fanboys, but as long as you base your choice on several reviews and not just one then you will most likely get the best quality for you!
  7. Depends on what you need it for. If you just need it for skyrim, then calibrate in driver on the profile you use for skyrim. if you want a general calibration for ALL applications then do it on your monitor using one of the many tests around the net. If you want to do it really properly you would need a color meter and calibrate using that... but that might be going over the top. In general it all comes down to how you like it... some people prefer a profile with lower brightness for viewing websites for example.
  8. You will be able to get more performance out of a bigger card. The 670 is not the largest GPU on the market.. So depending on how disposable your money is then it can be worthwhile. The GTX 660 is about 50% behind a 780ti... and the 670 is the same model GPU as I recall. However at this time I would probably just wait for the next generation from Nvidia... should not be far into the future as I recall.
  9. A good thing with this approach is that it also kinda help show how the general audience reads your descriptions etc. I found it quite nice when he reviewed my ENB.. and ended up using the wrong binary version because I did not have it in plain text that the latest was required. A bit annoying yes, but ultimately it helped me create a better experience for other people! That said then it is very clear when he does those that he is not really focused at all... imo they are not really worth much since well, it is so obvious that he has not done the proper off cam preparations etc.
  10. In general then mods that add a script on top of other scripts are also going to be an issue. The general issue with combat related mods is the same now that it was about 2 years ago... there is simply too much going on. When every action in combat triggers like 50 scripts.. then obviously something is going to fail eventually as the number of NPC´s go up. Most of these nice features would have been nice to see hardcoded into the engine... stuff like foot prints is something that is rather trivial on most modern engines for example. What would be nice would be a mod that would be able to selectively add effects to NPC´s... for example there is no need for full combat execution on an NPC that is in a different cell from you. It should simply be a "calculate hit chance, and do some dmg if hits" There should not be anything else like staggering, etc. etc. since this is all redundant when an action is not taking place near you.
  11. I personally think it sounds a bit too high fantasy like. I do like to think that the term world eater is not really meant to be taken literally. Also is is very elder scolls like to have the final boss being all wuss... as I recall then none of the bosses have ever been difficult in any of the game , since you are always so OP when you get to them. That said then it will most likely be a lot of fun to try this mod out! Which at the end of the day is going to be all that matters! :D
  12. Well the flares themselves should be easy enough to isolate since they almost always have their own passes, if they do not then they at the very least have their own unique piece of code which can be removed without altering the rest... but yeah kyo files are tedious to go through since there is no standard, and no optimization, and it is all just one huge mess of visual goodness. Eventually I will get through them all, but code optimization takes time to get in the mood for, especially when it is not really a challenge... and just tedious. This is also part reason why I have made everything in my files into blocks instead... makes it infinitely easier to create new presets since you do not have to understand 2000 lines of code... but only like 20... unless you are a programmer who wants to know it all. Most are happy to know that saturation code... well saturates stuff. Will have to look at pw again soon... atm I am enjoying getting myself smashed in feudal Japan! Thanks for the update on it however!
  13. Anamorphic is most likely in your Bloom.fx file instead if you are using Kyo´s/matsos´s code. Lens file would have nothing to do with it. And yeah, I wrote laast that it would be nice if he someday would make his values 10, 10, 10 instead of 0,0,0 since that would at least make it possible to alter those values without messing up the visual look of he has, some nights are a bit too dark even on my calibrated monitor. But it also depends on texture choice and location, woods with green landscape textures are much darker then snow obviously. So overall I like his nights. The most annoying thing I have so far is his sun diversity, which requires a new set of weather files which I will hopefully get around to doing soon when I get in the mood again. So far I am just captureing feedback from the few people who use it and report stuff back.
  14. Sounds epic! I do just want to point out that you can simply disable the lens.fx by disabing lens in enbseries.ini in case you did not already know. Guess I should get around to updating my own ENB soon again with all these productive developments you guys are doing! :)
  15. Check that the archive is actually downloaded properly.. if you can extract it manually or even open it then it is weird, but most likely this is the issue. Happens sometimes with online mirrors! Only thing to do is try again!
  16. Not sure if it has been mentioned but there is a difference between dragons, some of them will not trigger the event, since they do not have the proper flags for it. Same reason why some dragons you spawn will only attack guards, but not you. I forgot the specifics, but as I recall then the ones that do not attack you wont trigger the response either... I know that most of the dragons from deadly dragons do trigger it... however there will always be some NPC´s who just stand their ground... but perhaps this is because I normally tested the mod in solitude rather then some random village. Again sorry if this chunk has already been covered and mentioned!
  17. It always look nice in trailers! At least it makes it look interesting enough to keep an eye out for. Depending on how good it becomes then I might lift my origin ban.
  18. If asked to merge into patch then it is almost always safe to do so, since it is mostly mods with trivial changes that can be done automatically this way. The bash patch is made for your entire setup. If you alter any mod that is affected by the bashed patch you should update it. You can see which mods are masters for it, and if you change any of those you redo the patch. You do not need to update the other way around since the bashed patch is the final thing to load in your list.... at least it should be. (Not counting in skyproc patches) And yes it is safe to ignore this. You can get it to go away if you wish, but it will not prevent your game from running at all.
  19. As always nice job Saer! Looking sharp and I am sure the ladies will love them! :D
  20. First off. Welcome to the forums! Hope you find something worth reading while here! Then to the issues. Sadly the guide is only in english atm. Nobody have had the time or wish to go about translating it into other languages, but I assume that is a possibility down the road, when the guide is in a more final state. Most of the guide can be translated into Get all the mods Install them Run BOSS Play If you want more then that then stuff starts to get technical, and then english is the language of choice sadly. Especially with DDSopt since it is a rather technical program to use. You can also try to use some of the alternative programs out there, the end result is more or less the same. Hope that helps a little bit, and if it is too much then I hope someone who knows french will try to help as well.
  21. Now as I recall then the difference in GPU between those two models is not really there (might be wrong sorry if I am!)... only one has more memory then the other one. Performance comes down to the GPU type, and its clock speed essentially. If those did not change then you should not expect to see more performance. Extra performance as a result of more video memory does not directly translate into more FPS, since the GPU can only render so many frames per sec anyways... it will however translate into more fluet gameplay (In the case of skyrim... less stuttering when doing cell changes), since resources the GPU needs are loaded faster.
  22. Good points. One thing I took notice of is that most of the stuff he points out is stuff that is fixable by patches down the road, and I am sure they will be.... like the issue with the million dead spiders people are farming... that is just a bad piece of remove object code that should be easily fixable by the devs. As for stuff about it being bland and boring... well its an MMO... if stuff was stunning etc. then that sort of PvP would cripple most systems in seconds and not be fun at all. As for quests lacking proper quest rewards... well I take that with a grain of salt. With that many quests then they cannot all be epic etc. and neither should the be. One thing I did find very disappointing and which I think they wont fix are those daedric invasions.. the criticism there was warranted imo. Even by MMO standards that was just lackluster across the board. There is no reason other then "lack of time to do it" during development why it is so boring... with at most a few NPC´s wacking at each other. When PVP has 50 or more player actors at once, then I do not see why in a PvE context there cannot be at least 20 NPC´s.... oh yeah and guards should not have a simple idle greeting during such an event. But again this is part of what I meant with lack of polish. It is fixable down the road... if they want to. However all that being said.... it does look like an elder scrolls game to me as well, and I would like to play it for sure... but not for that asking price.. for that sort of money I expect a polished game, and this is not a polished game yet. But I have high hopes down the road that I will give it a spin.
  23. Yeah that is a fair question... You only need to link to enbdev.com and get everything from there, since eventually you are going to get it all from there anyways. I guess the answer was that for new people then since there is a nexus site then it is easier to link to that so they do not get confused as to why it is not linked to later. In general everything ENB is a bit messy, but it all boils down to getting the files from enbdev.com and then set them up for your system. And later if you want visual stuff, then set that up or find a preset someone else made.
  24. Not sure what you mean :S You download ENB, and setup the enblocal.ini so that the graphics part of ENB is disabled and move forward. Nothing more nothing less. If you want to play with the graphics parts later then you just set the disablegraphics part to false and you are set.
  25. Imo there is not really anything to disagree with. While his tone etc. looks like it is bashing left n right, the final verdict and general points stand. The game is just average... nothing more nothing less. It has several features that might have been thought out to be a good idea, but lacks polish. Essentially it all boils down to the asking price is just way way too high. If it had been 30 $/€ for all content then perhaps it would have been worth it, but at that really high price compared to everything else then just no. This review is on par with most others I have looked at so far, and I am not going to hand out that kinda money for a game that clearly still needs to get a few patches under its belt before it is worth looking into compared to the alternatives. Finally then I must admit that I find it curious that they made fire look so epic, while making sure everything else looks so kinda bland.... then again they do keep up the ES themes so far, for better or worse.
