ACCEPTED Superior Lore-Friendly Hair - HD textures (by skyrimaguas)
torminater replied to FCqt's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
What about brumbek or hvergelmir? -
Plugings - Mods restart every load
torminater replied to razanon's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Which wrye version are you using? Have you followed neovalen's guide skyrim revisited? -
My testing results were, that none of the versions fixed the crash issues at Windhelm. So either it's a vanilla game instability bug, or it's memory related, and Boris didn't fix it yet. see here: https://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2138&sid=d29444ee30b1a3b875ca482104072e05&start=80

CTD on load screen trying to enter dawnstar sanctuary
torminater replied to winflakes's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Did Raven Rock CTD for you if you deleted the tweak entirely from your ini? -
resolution of textures in SR:LE
torminater replied to hellanios's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Usually 100 MB-200 MB less than RAM. In very dense locations about 2.4 GB VRAM are used. -
resolution of textures in SR:LE

Fair enough. Though a mix of 2k for diffuse maps and 1k for normal maps would still keep you well clear from the 3.1 GB. (I'm hovering at about 2.6 max) -
Why again are they a target for that many DDoS? Because kids start to raise botnets instead of ant farms? Stupid world.

If I DDSopt my textures, can I skip the HRDLC in step 2.F. ?
torminater replied to KiloWatts's question in DDSopt Support
Apparently you forgot to include the modified ini for DDSopt from the wiki guide. This texture got corrupted, because it wasn't skipped as it is supposed to. Had you used the updated ini from the guide, you wouldn't have had the issue in the first place. -
The anti-freeze patch was an attempt by Boris to get rid of a bottleneck in engine. Since this didn't bode that well (caused unfixable issues for some people) he abandoned it, but kept the download available for those who wanted to try it out. I included the reference for 1.92 because that's the next bottleneck Boris tries to circumvent. He's currently still changing things in it, but it seems to do as it is supposed to - unfortunately until now with some negative sideeffects.

Voice acting in Falskaar is indeed very good (at least how far I can tell)
-
anti-freeze patch is very dated and likely to cause problems on some systems. boris is currently working on a 1.92 version of his ENB, which features a memory translocation of all textures to the VRAM instead of the RAM. Currently it's pretty much alpha stage.

ACCEPTED Superior Lore-Friendly Hair - HD textures (by skyrimaguas)
torminater replied to FCqt's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yup, Superior with less saturation optional looks definitely best. -
I'm probably going to do Wyrmstooth after Falskaar, which I've started today. So far it is really awesome. And I don't really think it's all that unlorefriendly. Not going to spoil it for anyone though ;-)
-
Well... apparently Boris got sick of coding yesterday and just deleted all files of 1.92 on his server. Let's see if a good night sleep doesn't restore his motivation to continue his work.
-
Jeez, far too much work for me right now. Gotta prepare for a exam on monday. @ Neo: could you upload your 1.92 tweaked ini somewhere so I could compare the performance on a single gpu setup?

SKYRIMLE Hectrol CAVES DELUXE HighRes Retex (by Hectrol)
torminater replied to thalastwon's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I like the ground texture from Snow and Rocks HD best. The wall texture from Hectrol's looks the most HD, but all the parallel lines going down the walls is just far too much for my eyes. Therefore, I'ld say mix Snow and Rocks HD with Beauty of Skyrim and that'ld be my choice. -
How exactly did you do that? Have you just replaced the dll file or also made changes to the enbseries.ini?

ModManager no longer processing Mods with installers
torminater replied to DragonDai's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I've had similar issues with MO some time back. Since then the NCC doesn't work anymore, and I can't get it fixed. Try to use the integrated fomod installer instead. Some mods won't work that way. you'll have to use manual installation instructions for them... -
Not really since VRAM is not doubled by SLI. One card is the way to go for ENB. However you are right that more VRAM would help. You misunderstood my point.I get microstuttering and FPS drops using the 1.92 as well. And that is without using any of the high-end graphical enhancements enbs usually have to offer. If I implemented those as well, my framerate would probably go black hawk down. Therefore I'ld need the extra processing power of a second GPU to keep my FPS stable enough.
-
Maybe for a SLI 4GB rig this enb would be a possibility...
-
I think it neither has any conflicts with STEP nor with Skyrim Revisited (old version June 3rd). So what about adding it to a gameplay pack?
-
OK, my full feedback which was actually for the ENB forums, but unfortunately that annoying spam filter wouldn't let me use any computer terminology words, since it didn't recognize they were english...

Better use DDSopt per the Wiki guide to reduce your normals (*_n.dds) to 1k size. Everything is explained in full detail in the guide.

[IMG] Help me identify this missing texture
torminater replied to KiloWatts's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yup, very likely. Reinstall the Puddles Fix mod. -
Yeah well, the good thing is: as soon as cabal has covered every single texture we won't have this problem anymore... For me at least the whiterun package is ok, because the textures are used mostly there and not in other places where the contrast between good and bad textures would be too great. Even if you'ld stumble upon a really good beside a really bad texture, just think about this: it's civil war in skyrim. All building materials are first priority goods for the troops and fortifications as well as most builders will be occupied with repairing damage by assaults from enemy troops, bandits and dragons alike. A bad texture for example a door would just be a old poorly handcrafted door, which got used because good doors were not affordable for the owner at the moment. Even in a jarl's stronghold not all items were of the same quality. For me(!) using this pack or others techangel might subject against due to quality difderences isn't a problem.
