A detailed list of mods you have installed, a installation method, some info about optimization and your pc's specs would help...
-
If you follow suite the directions in the DDSopt guide, there is no way you would end up with 1k for all textures... If you only install the 1k versions (or lower) for every mod, you'll definitely avoid any RAM related problems (vram as well), but if you go 2k for all textures... you'll hit the 3 GB margin most certainly. Either you pick and choose the few mods you want higher resolutions for, or you let it be.

SKYRIMLE Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone (by Barneq)

I thought the Front looked ok, just the back didn't Match to it, and i wanted to exclude the lighting from the Possible culprits. -

@WI: could you provide screenshots from the back again, when it's lit by sunlight? Maybe it does look metallic afterall, but i'ld need to see the reflections first. -
SKYRIMLE SkyEx Your Skyrim Loot Shipping... by Fallhammer
torminater replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Only if you were Limited to Carry 50-75 weight units on Top of the gear you are wearing if wearing a backpack. If not, tough ... This would make a "packmule" Feature interesting As well As make followers necessary, and travelling in a caravan/cart group a viable Option. But since we're Talking about needing a Container with infinite capacity to stuff in the 200 weapons you looted, because you can only Carry: 20 Sets of armor, 15 weapons, a tent, Logs A trees worth, 100 fragile bottles with the most sensitive liquids and don't forget your stash of 500 flowers and Butterfly Wings plus a Collection of crafting Materials, soul gems and so much Gold that you'ld Need a Truck to Move At once... Let's don't take the Realism aspect Too far, shall we? ;-) Still, with Loads of Other Realism mods included wich would take Care of the issues i referred to, this Mod would Be a Nice-to-have Feature! -
SKYRIMLE SkyEx Your Skyrim Loot Shipping... by Fallhammer
torminater replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Not really realistic to me... If you needed to Order items and it took time for them to arrive, like a Day or 2, After you paid the Shipping fee plus the more the items weigh the higher the fee... Now that would Be realistic! -
SKYRIMLE SkyEx Your Skyrim Loot Shipping... by Fallhammer

So what's the point of this Mod? You don't carry all your loot all the Way back Home? Instead you Pay for it to Be accessible from any Store/House you may Want to go to? Or are your items only accesible from a Single Location which you determin before you Pay the Shipping? -
There are several variables for trees, clouds and distant terrain in general. Some are part of the terrain manager section (part of my z-fighting tweaks), others under display. I'ld test with vanilla High Res first for effect, then with a modded config for stability. Let's go into detail: This is my vanilla skyrimprefs.ini file setup as told in SR, but only the ones with visual (pseudo-)effects: [Display] iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3 fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000 fShadowDistance=8000.0000 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048 iShadowSplitCount=2 iMaxAnisotropy=1 fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000 fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000 fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=10000000.0000 fGamma=1.0000 fDecalLOD2=1500.0000 fDecalLOD1=1000.0000 fSpecularLODStartFade=2000.0000 fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000 fLightLODStartFade=3500.0000 iTexMipMapMinimum=0 iTexMipMapSkip=0 iWaterMultiSamples=0 iMultiSample=1 iShadowMode=3 bTreesReceiveShadows=0 bDrawLandShadows=0 fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000 fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=10000000.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=10000000.0000 bShadowMaskZPrepass=0 bMainZPrepass=0 iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=25 iMaxDecalsPerFrame=100 bFloatPointRenderTarget=0 sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680" bFXAAEnabled=0 iShadowMapResolution=4096 fShadowBiasScale=0.1500 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 iAdapter=0 iShadowFilter=3 bShadowsOnGrass=1 bTransparencyMultisampling=0 bDeferredShadows=1 bDrawShadows=1 [Grass] b30GrassVS=1 fGrassStartFadeDistance=7000.0000 fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000 fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000 [MAIN] fSkyCellRefFadeDistance=150000.0000 [Particles] iMaxDesired=750 [Clouds] fCloudLevel2Distance=262144.0000 fCloudLevel1Distance=32768.0000 fCloudLevel0Distance=16384.0000 fCloudNearFadeDistance=9000.0000 [TerrainManager] fTreeLoadDistance=75000.0000 fBlockMaximumDistance=250000.0000 fBlockLevel1Distance=70000.0000 fBlockLevel0Distance=35000.0000 fSplitDistanceMult=1.5000 bShowLODInEditor=0 [Trees] bRenderSkinnedTrees=1 uiMaxSkinnedTreesToRender=20 [Decals] uMaxDecals=1000 bDecals=1 bSkinnedDecals=1 uMaxSkinDecals=100 uMaxSkinDecalsPerActor=60 [LOD] fLODFadeOutMultObjects=15.0000 fLODFadeOutMultItems=15.0000 fLODFadeOutMultActors=15.0000 fLODFadeOutMultSkyCell=1.0000 [BlurShaderHDR] bDoHighDynamicRange=1 [BlurShader] bUseBlurShader=0 [Water] iWaterReflectHeight=512 iWaterReflectWidth=512 bUseWaterDisplacements=1 bUseWaterRefractions=1 bUseWaterReflections=1 bUseWaterDepth=1 All of these are LOD/distance settings Any of these settings could improve distant terrain by itself - but usually it doesn't in a casually noticeable way. I think this is because of the uGridsToLoad-limitation (higher res near distance causes texture popping in mid-distance). With more uGrids it might be possible to load more stuff into the LODs... Shadow settings might improve the mid-distant terrain by adding shadows and thus giving the LODs a less paper-like look, more 3D-like. Water settings might improve sea-LOD or at least the reflections of the mountains. All in all I don't care much about higher detailed terrain, when every mountain range has it's own light show going on and every stupid weather/lighting mod tends to remove the clouds that cover them a little bit... By the way: Skyrim Configurator is not enough for me ;-)

For compatibility issues with a full Skyrim Revisited (newest publicly available Pre-Release) I refer to my post above. Apart from one overwritten record from USKP no conflicts, which couldn't be resolved by ordering the plugins correctly.

SKYRIMLE Ancient Falmer Armor HD Retext & Redone (by Barneq)
torminater replied to DCS78's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think the back of the armor (modded) looks like cloth, not like anything which could withstand even a skeever bite... I'm against this mod. The retexture makes the armor look clean, cloth-like, ornaments painted on top... all in all I'll wait for Cabal to make a retex. -

Looks interesting. It probably requires patching with all sorts of mods from SR/STEP, even though the author offers patches for COT/SOS/DLCs. He also loaded up a tweaked IHSS.esp... And none of the .esp/m are recognized by BOSS yet. EDIT: There are no new conflicts between any of the esps this mod adds other than those issues: As far as I can see, Sound.esp conflicts with the included IHSS.esp as well, so the latter would need to get loaded afterwards. It also needs some patching with USKP: Sound.esp\Sound Descriptor\0005A6F6 "Conditions" tab. Other than that... It adds 8 new esps to my install, this might be too much for what the mod does.
-
304 might have other issues though... But you'll need WB only for Bashed Patch anyways (afaik).
-
You'll not have merged levelled lists and thus NPC/chests won't spawn all items added by the mods installed.
-
If you are using MO just keep those mods which require others to work deselected until all required mods are installed. If you followed the SR Guide precisely, you shouldn't Need to go through the whole Process anew. Just delete your skyrim directory and verify integrity of Game Cache via stean, then run skyrim through the steam launcher. Then go to your SR Profile, deselect all and reselect them in Small batches whilst you keep testing.
-
Well, I'ld suggest you -> backup and then delete your skyrim folder and your my games/skyrim directory manually. -> Then you verify integrity of game cache. Then you start a new game and see whether the issue persists. It will not be so, since otherwise millions of players would've recognized this issue as disturbing enough to launch a crusade against bethesda for them making their archetype of a dragonborn sound like a wuss. -> Then I'ld optimize the vanilla bsa (only the recommended). -> If everything is alright, clean the esps. -> If everything is alright, install all your mods in packs of maximum 10 (if they are using sound files or esps, if there are only textures that won't be the issue.) -> If you've still not encountered the issue by now, start optimizing your textures with ddsopt for better stability, clean all esps (except where explicitly said to not do so) and make patches where needed. -> You should now own a working copy of Skyrim with STEP installed on top.

Lydia sounds like a male when power attacking as well in my game!!! I'm using SR though. Can't recall my character being a soprano though.

sounds good, are you gonna make the esp again compatible? -
Think about the 3.1 GB RAM limitation...
-
That's what I've seen as well. If we can guarantee for any texture-type which gets collapsed to 132 bytes, that it is correctly optimized, this matter can be called resolved. I don't really know though how a mod tester/user could find a specific dubious texture which he thinks was incorrectly optimized?

SKYRIMLE Realistic Lighting Overhaul (by The Realistic Lighting Team)

If HDR/Eye adaption would work better, most lighting mods would work a whole lot better. -

in early levels and high difficulty settings I've got one-shotted several times ;-) -
Also use the Medium resolution addon for deadly spell impacts! That fixed Most of my freezes. I currently get 1-2 freezes in 4-5 hours gameplay and if so then on the exact same spot twice. I save directly before the Spot, reload and everything Works out perfectly (no RAM issue).
