  1. Well the other 2 mods are certainly not wrong. Just be sure, you rule out any conflicts with your other mods.
  2. Some of it goes really far from vanilla art style. Nothing for Core, but maybe for some fantasy-style-overhaul-pack
  3. I'ld rather have less fancy retextures (especially for the greybeard cloak...)
  4. Discussion thread: Cutting Room Floor by Arthmoor Wiki Link It enables NPCs, Locations and Quests which were not implemented in the game for it's final release. Looks good to me, other opinions? Accepted for STEP:Core 2.2.9 (pending issues) MT Notes Cutting Room Floor MT Notes: EssArrBee - "Good reviews of this mod by members, Skadi had a good one here." To Do Notes: Evaluate what content is added and that it is not noticeably incomplete.Open in TES5Edit and check for conflicts with STEP Core and then Extended.
  5. How about the new one from Arthmoor: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/47327/ Cutting Room Floor
  6. that makes sense. Crashes on inventory screen -> Sky UI conflict -> SKSE plugin Crashes under other circumstances -> conflict with other SKSE plugins or perhaps 3.1 GB limit
  7. Well, in the past 2 things came up: 1. The mod added so many LODs to objects that ILS often were the result. 2. The mod made the distant terrain look less empty, but of course it couldnt help with the texture popping when the actual meshes and textures were loaded. 1. Might improve with safety load, which can create issues on its own though. 2. Can be reduced by ugrids changes which could work out with stable ugrids. The mod might need ENBoost to give enough spare room for RAM.
  8. I don't really like the specularity.
  9. If using any combo of leveled list altering mods, you should use the bashed patch.
  10. Well, a LP is a whole lot of work, plus youtube's aka Google's change to how comments work don't really make the interaction between you and your fans easier...
  11. Well, I didn't want to step on your toes tech. Those ILS where from before anything remotely concerning STEP Core was even in development, so forgive me, if I have been not clear enough with my statement. And yes, I know exactly what Mod Testing guidelines are. Back to (off) topic: What I wanted to say is, that for some people ILS/freezes/CTDs can appear even when they are keeping straight to the STEP guide. This is just varying amongst all of the systems. I personally didn't have any issues with STEP Extreme plus z-fighting tweaks until Dragonborn hit the market, after that, they were horrific (1.9 patch memory "optimizations" ... yeah :-/ ). Still, I think that senior members should be allowed to create some verdict on this mod, whether the admins will mark it for official testing or not, and that we may put it in the opening post (perhaps even a wiki-entry), so people coming to our site can easily find what STEP staff think of this tool and what it's limits/pros and cons are.
  12. Sure, but just like cleanmem, we do not want to advocate for a utility claiming to do things, we did not check for ourselves. I know of some of our team who've already checked it out, so marking this for testing would just be a bureaucratical manoeuvre. Then those guys can give their reports, we put our assessment of what the tool currently CAN and CANNOT do at the OP and done that is.
  13. I've gotten ILS with STEP when travelling from Skyrim to Solstheim and back, plus when going into various dungeons near Ivarstead/Riften/Ravenrock. No additional mods where installed, but all textures where 2k. So, if ENBoost and Safety Load allow the user to enhance the visual quality of their game even more, then why not tell them what we personally found out through properly testing them?
  14. I'ld say, we get this into MT. This weekend I don't think I'll find the time to do the testing myself.
  15. I'm all in for the challenge. Something that kills me immediately if I make the wrong choices is just perfect! :)
  16. That on your screenshot is called artifacting. It usually occurs when the gpu is overheated, too much OC, or VRAM is going belly up. It can also happen at random intervals (I had it a couple of times in Vanilla Skyrim). That will not go away when saving and reloading not until the cell has reset. If it does go away by reloading, it's one of the prior causes. Possibly this mod's changes to memory management screw some things up in SKSE which then affects SkyUI and the ingame menus.
  17. How about Immersive Patrols (various plugins)? It might be a whole lot more stable spawnwise with Safety Load?
  18. Not a bad idea at all!
  19. Yeah, I'm Tom, but of course that's not my real name. I'm in my 20s, out of work since Snowden dropped the ball on the NSA, since my operations abroad got far too dangerous after Hour Zero. Currently I'm checking on how I can get back on the market without officially documented education, so I'm back at the university studying something more reliable and stable than espionage, so I can start having a familia at some point in life ... Edit: Oh, Peace and out.
  20. I'ld so love to see a radiograph of that character...
  21. 47 and ongoing, if I feel the need. But the game just becomes too easy at some point, no matter what you do to enhance the difficulty. Currently I'm doing a Requiem playthrough and I love it! It's insanely fun (especially in conjunction with hard times (requiem patches), needs mods, new creature mods, etc.). And really it's a new way you look at the game. You feel like you're in a world, not in a game. The people around you are not mobs, but really tough sobs... Let's say Requiem pushes Beth's intentions for how to change from Oblivion to Skyrim to the extremes. Bows are (initially slower) but really deadly. You get one-shotted by most things all the time (I'm playing a mage without armor...) So saving is ESSENTIAL.
  22. OK guys, I have a testing idea: -> All LOD mods highest res -> complete z-fighting fix (including the terrain manager tweaks) -> Open Cities -> Full HD options for any textures with checking via VMM whether 3 GB is exceeded or not. Testing should be farely easy. Make a savegame in a city and exit out of it after reloading and vice versa. See when you've thrown enough at the game to cause you a reproducable ILS. Test Loads: 1: No memory "enhancers" 2: Only Safety Load 3: Only ENBoost 4: Only Stable uGrids 5: Safety Load and ENBoost 6: Safety Load, ENBoost and Stable uGrids If this mod fixes in all instances all of the ILS where it is active, and the people can post the numbers/graphs/anything from VMM, then I consider it a fix.
  23. It probably is vanilla, upscaled, resharpened plus filter, but so was SRO. If it's at least well-done, we might consider it for inclusion. We would need comparison shots though.
  24. Well, Gopher had said he planned on uploading his recordings of reading the books himself at some point, but I don't know how he stands on this matter nowadays.
