Morrowind on sale (Steam)
EssArrBee replied to rootsrat's topic in General Morrowind Discussion & Support
Not sure if anyone has an interest, but both TES1 & 2 are now available for free from Bethesda and I think you can get a special patch from UESP.net to play them on modern systems or DOSbox. Personally never played TES1 and hated TES2 quite a bit, but apparently it is 65K miles across or something ridiculously big. -

Unless you have a hundred games in your library, and you've never even downloaded half of them. Ooo look Angry Birds Space is only a $1.69! Wait what was I saying? -
Go to the page there is a merged patch.

SKYRIMLE Opulent Outfits: Mage Robes of Winterhold (by babooncru)

I really like the standalone version of your mod, especially the white restoration robes. Are you going to be updating the store anytime soon? -

All the Humble Bundles are really great, the one from THQ right before they went up for sale was truly a steal. Warhammer, Metro, Saint's Row 3, Company of Heroes... -

Rafuel is doing a much more vanilla style retexture of the robes, there are few other photos from him of the robes and he already released the Dragonborn robes which are excellent. -
Morrowind on sale (Steam)

Morrowind for about 7 bucks and the whole Alan Wake franchise for 4 dollars is a pretty weekend! -
Um SkyUI 4.0 will implement a super, duper favs menu with 8 slots for loadouts that you can hotkey and switch between. I think if the mod loadouts has this problem then I'm assuming that SkyUI will as well. Just watch the vid on the front page, should be the first post.
-
So is the upcoming update to SkyUI pretty much useless because of this bug?

SKYRIMLE First-Person Messages (by ashiraniir)
EssArrBee replied to BahamutZ's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I prefer the game to not tell me 'why' about anything so it feels more like a girlfriend. The only thing I'm not crazy about is FPM's "I can't set out to..." That just sounds weird in my head. -
I believe this a partial spinoff of ERSO which has many, many modules. It seems safe for saves as well so do not worry about install/uninstall.

The iLargeRef was originally set to 100 or something really low when Skyrim launched or after Dawnguard, I forget, and it caused a lot of CTDs with house mods mostly. I'd say that we don't have to raise it all the way to the maximum the engine allows, and instead just raise it to a number that will not crash the game, say ~10K.

Since you said it was fine until you updated SR try rolling back to where it was okay and then update piece by piece until it happens again. Also, the latest driver is 320.18 if that matters, I had problems with 320.14 and my GPU crashing and 320.18 seems to have fixed that.

I used to use Auto Potion, but it was a Script Dragon plugin so I decided to give it up. The auto drinking makes the game so much more fun to play instead of menu spamming. I'd say that is probably my biggest complaint of most RPGs that are loot crazy.

This mod finally has a merged version. I'm pretty sure that almost everyone has installed this mod at one time or another. It's always one of the mods I add on top of STEP and now it has one esp for people with to many plugins. Obviously you need DG and DB to use it.
-
"So hey, Dovah, are you ever going to fight Alduin or is he going to eat the world?" "What are you, my mother? I'll do it later, I just need 10 more minutes." Now we just need a mod that makes people use the sheets and blankets. Everyone sleeping above the covers kind of bothers me.

On the bottom part of DDSopt there is a the browse button that brings up the menu to select the destination folder. If the 'Save as Type' is listed as BSA then change it to the other option then click the 'use folder' button on the directory your are extracting to.

If you really want to learn about TES5Edit then reading through the FNVEdit Training Manual is the best source of info. Different game but the program works the same way, and it is over a hundred pages of info to go through.

It's not like living in Florida where you get more than a day to prepare for a hurricane, the warning for tornadoes is measured in minutes. The one thing I do not miss from living in DFW is the storms, huddling in the bathtub with the lighting flickering and thunder booming, I would not wish that on anyone.

He probably meant to put the Elven shield there but decided to put it in with the armor. It is weird because shields go in the weapon folder, but they are listed in the clothing and armor section of your inventory.

The WB team needs to just make it work for all the games instead of one for Oblivion and Skyrim with three ports.

I haven't seen any other problems with icons or or water yet except that the water might be a bit too clear. The pipboy was completely white when I started the game and replacing those two with the originals fixed the problem, so those two textures appear to be a brightness of the pipboy screen. I'm not informed enough about texture types to know what section those texture might be placed under in the DDSopt.ini, so do I just put them under [Automatic]?
-
Your BOSS log only showed 8 esm/esp so you either didn't install your mods correctly or you ran BOSS before installing them.
-
I don't think the guide lists how to edit the ini to ignore textures, is that something that you would like to handle on your own so it is done properly? or just haven't updated with that info yet? So far I've found 4 files that DDSopt doesn't do so well with optimizaiton: \textures\landscape\waterplanemuckpool.dds \textures\landscape\waterplanemuckpool_n.dds \textures\pipboy3000\screen.dds \textures\pipboy3000\screen_n.dds They are small files 16x16 and 64x64 that are reduced to 1x1 EDIT: messed up spacing
-
Yeah I found this from him in an old thread: Looks like it works for everything except Morrowind, which just needs to be extracted by something else before optimizing.
